hello! make sure to read this so you know whats going on in this story. (also i am back, story’s may be slow when coming in but im trying! currently rewatching some animes, hopefully getting my laptop fixed soon so i can write more.)

You’re a new hashira, so far you’ve made two good friends amongst the other hashiras. Though, you couldn’t help but wonder about the others. Especially one in particular.

"This food is soww good!" Mitsuri said with unchewed food stuffed in her mouth, Rengoku chuckled at the sight. You were mostly always hanging out with these two, they seemed to enjoy your company far more than the other hashiras. Well, not saying that the others didn't like you. You just were unsure on how to hold a conversation with them.

Once the three of you were done eating, you decided to head back home while the other two went somewhere else. You looked down at the ground while you walked, you thought about the other hashiras, what were they like? well, you knew little stuff about each of them. But they were all so interesting that you wanted to know more, but you just weren't sure on how to get to know them better without feeling judged. You then sighed and tried to get the negative thoughts outside of your head, until you felt a cold hand touch your shoulder.

"Hey, um (y/n)? you dropped your hairpin." giyuu, that's one of the Hashiras you were mostly interested in. He just seemed like one of the most mysterious guys you've ever seen, you then realized that were you just staring at him and that he was staring back with probably one of the straightest faces someone could pull off ever.

"oh! um..thank you so much giyuu!" you said, louder than it needed to be. " No problem." Giyuu then turned and walked the other way, your face then went bright red from embarrassment.

You were walking home from a hashira meeting until you saw a familiar haroi, you then decided to see who it was.

Once you had gotten closer, you realized it was giyuu. This could be your chance to finally talk to him! You then pat him on the shoulder, he turns around to face you, "How can I help you (y/n)?"

"Well, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go eat somewhere together. I would really like to get to know you better!" Giyuu was sort of shocked by what you said, but he ended up agreeing. While walking to where you were planning to go eat, you two ended up talking a lot. Well, mostly you, but he enjoyed listening to you talk.

"Thank you so much for coming to eat with me, I really do appreciate it!" You then smiled at him, "Of course.”

"We really should do this more often, I really enjoyed it."

Once you two were done talking, it was already pretty dark outside. "It seems to be late already, I guess we lost track of time while talking!" you giggled softly. Giyuu smiled to himself, maybe he was finally making friends with someone after so long. Giyuu then walked you home to make sure you got there safely, "Thank you so much for walking me all the way over here, I appreciate it."

"It's really no problem, and..thank you for inviting me to eat with you. I would really like to do it again." "Yes! I would love to." As giyuu headed home that night, he thought about you. It’s been long since he’s had a friend, he didn’t wanna mess this up.

Months passed, the two of you had a lot in common more than you thought. You two were always together, never seen apart honestly.

“ah, you have something in your hair.” said giyuu.

“do i? Can you take it out for me please?” You smiled softly.

giyuu nodded, he then took the small flower out of your hair. Once he took it out, you turned around to face him. “look at that, i wonder what flower that is hm? sure is pretty.” you said, looking down at giyuu’s hand. He watched you as you spoke, the pretty smile you had. That was one of his favorite things about you, seeing you smile, get excited, just seeing you happy in general was enough to make him feel warm inside.

You looked up from his hand to look at him, “Your pretty quiet, quieter then usual. Something wrong?” You asked, your brows furrowed slightly.

“oh, no no.” Giyuu shook his head slightly. “So, what is it then?” you titled your head slightly. “You just..look nice. Your smile.” he said, not being able to hold it in anymore.

“my smile? You like it?” you said, a bit surprised by his words. He nodded his head. It was silent for a few moments, he then spoke up. “Im sorry- I apologize for saying-“

“why are you apologizing?” You said. You put some of his hair behind his ear. “I..I dont know.” he said a bit nervous now. You cupped his cheeks, your touch was new, but a good type of new. He leaned into you touch. “your really handsome, you look even better with my hands on you.” you said, teasing him slightly.

“ah, do i?” his cheeks started to feel a bit warm. You nodded slightly, before your eyes landed on his lips. You then thought of something, before he could even realize what you were doing— you leaned in to kiss him. Your soft lips pressing against his, it was a few seconds before he kissed you back, but he did. His rough hands gripped your waist, being gentle with you.

genya held out flowers in his hand, looking away from you. His face was bright red.

You were a bit dense when it came to romance, so you were trying to understand what was going on.

“genya? are you okay?” you looked at the flowers, were these for you? You looked up from the flowers to look at genya. He was still red as ever.

“are these for me?” You asked, he nodded his head slightly. You smiled, you took the flowers from him. As you admired the flowers, you then began to realize these were your favorite flowers. You were kind of shocked that he remembered, you smiled softly, a hint of blush on your cheeks.

You looked back up at him, he looked at the floor face still flushed. “thank you genya.” you still had a soft smile on your face. Genya looked up at you, “y-your welcome.”

You then thought about it more, why exactly did he get you these?

“genya, why did you give me these?”

“I- um..” he was still red, you chuckled a bit.

he sighed, he really wanted to tell you how he felt. He decided to just spill it, what could go wrong?

he then opened his mouth, and said..”IreallylikeyouandI’dlovetodateyou!” He said, trying to get it out as fast as possible. (lol.)

his eyes were closed as he said this, he opened one of his eyes to look at you. “y-you like me?” your cheeks were red now.

he nodded his head slightly, both eyes open now. You smiled, and gave him a big hug. “I’d love to date you genya!”

he smiled, he was proud of himself, and glad that you agreed to date him.

“do you wanna get some watermelon to celebrate?” you grinned.

“yeah, lets go.” he smiled.
