Today is a beautiful sunny day and perfect for washing these Churro Locks. Just another task I have put off. This fleece was about 8 lbs. I've sold half of it and the remaining fleece, I plucked the locks to wash. Then it sat in the crate for about 2 months and well, I am hoping to get most, if not all, washed today. Then a day or two to dry before I begin carding it into useable batts for spinning.

Managed to get pics of this batt I made. Working on a second batt to go with it. It came out great! Super soft. Blended on my blending board with mulberry silk, firestar, merino, and bamboo

I have decided that it was long over due. Time to get this bag of washed Navajo Churro locks carded into batts and ready for spinning.

Today as I was organizing, I realized the multitude of yarn that I have collected, been gifted, and handspun over the years. I guess it's time to take a break from spinning and start making. This is just 1 of 4 units full of yarn and fiber that I have. Time to get busy!

Blending more batts for the shop. I made my own blending board so I can make mini batts. I also did 2 others using manx laogthan wool and some tangirine/nutmeg colored merino.

Navajo Curro Sheep at my moms place. Looking forward to Shearing them in June. Cant wait to wash and dye their wool.

Sheared the wool myself. Plucked the locks and scoured. Then dyed the locks, carded and got it ready to z-strip and dizz into a continuous roving. I'm looking forward to spinning this in May.
