It's fine to want nothing to do with Harry Potter now that JKR is being regularly and publicly terrible (I'm listing that way myself even though I don't want to because the association is just overpoweringly distasteful), but seeing the shift in how people discuss HP on this website to be like, "It seems obvious to me that this franchise was always poorly constructed, derivative drek littered with red flags anybody would notice with a cursory glance - there's absolutely nothing genuinely appealing about it." ...That's just very funny, sorry. Like yes that is unfortunately not how the relationship between a person's moral character and their skills works, but mostly I was alive and had a developed consciousness between 2000 and 2008, so I cannot take this seriously. It wasn't the biggest literature phenomenon of recent times because it had a uniquely strong marketing strategy, guys.

I miss the hp rp community too -- was actually thinking about it earlier today! - but I'm not sure if I'll ever come back to it. I might but I won't promise anything. As a trans person, I'm still deeply, deeply hurt by jkr's remarks about trans people (especially trans women) and because of it, harry potter now leaves me with a very bitter aftertaste.

so I've been thinking abt this blog for the past couple of months and specifically whether I'd ever manage to feel good abt Harry Potter ever again

and idk if I'm ever gonna be able to love Harry Potter again; I might, I might not. but right now, I can't.

so this is all to say that (while I've never been super active) this blog is effectively in hiatus until I figure out my feelings -- and even if I manage to regain my love of rp, I honestly doubt I'll ever return to Harry Potter.

Hi, so since it’s pride month next month and a lot of towns/cities prides have been cancelled I wanted to do a pride hp rp day/night. Let me know if someone’s already doing this.

I was thinking June 6th (if that works) come on at any point on the 6th whatever works for you New date is now the 30th June (let me know if you can no longer join) (say roughly from 10am GMT) It would be lightning era.
