thanks! the reason i decided to make magcargo Really Really Big is in reference to the enormous scale of permian-triassic volcanism - have a look at this map:

the outlined area is a volcanic rock province known as the siberian traps, produced by an ongoing series of volcanic events more extreme and persistent than anything we've seen in the modern day. the lava was obviously not a very good time for anything in its way but current thinking holds its widest-spread impact was actually the gas output - sulfur dioxide emissions acidified rain and seawater and huge-scale carbon dioxide release led to runaway climate change, wiping out some 70-80% of life on earth. it was pretty crazy. i wanted to reflect at least some of the size & severity of the event in this design & moveset.
