There's Shigure hugging her from behind now. He missed Mitama a lot it seemed, as he laid his head on Mitama's head and hummed a song to her.

The poet-leans into the hug, sighing blissfully under fall colors and a cold chill in the wind. Change in seasons were bearable with the person you loved. 

She smiles, realizing the melody he was humming along to, closing her eyes and remembering the words. Never one for singing,she could at least recite the words as a poem. Their poem.

“ I know this room / I’ve walked this floor / I used to be alone before I knew you” She continued on with his little hum, it was melodramatic but romantic at the same time.. just them and their songs and poems..

“ It is not a cry you can hear at night / Nor somebody who has seen the light / it’s a warm and it’s an unbroken Hallelujah.”

Shigure is blushing, turning to her and smiling. He pulled her into a hug, laying his head on her shoulder. The boy kissed her cheek, nuzzling her neck and cheek as he held her close.

{❧} —- “Of course I would want you Mitama… I would love for the two of us to make a family someday.”

“Lovely...”

She seems content, slender arms wrapping around the kitsune boy, sighing dreamily. “I want a family with you too.. there’s nothing I want more. Nice and peaceful.. and no horrible deeprealms.” And Shigure wasn't her father...he was so much kinder,and he actually cared... 

“I wonder what it would be like...”

“I would like to create a family with you one day, Shigure..” Mitama says to him just enough for him to hear, her cheeks bright pink. Her confidence knew no bounds- especially in this situation.

“That is.. if you would want me.”

“You leave me no choice...” Mitama sighs, writing something down before speaking again.

“A bird without wings / Even though weak still has a song to sing / The song of confidence.” 

“You may not be your mother...but.. I.. I think you are truly spectacular, Shigure.”

“None sense, who is bu more capable than you when it comes to your mother’s songs? I refuse to let you think that about yourself.”

Oh great she saw him. Dwyer sighed as he turned around, seeing that Mitama was staring at him. 

{❧} —- “I came to apologize, but I thought you were asleep. So I was just going to leave those there and go so I didn’t wake you…”

He motioned towards the paper and quill on the table.

“You...came to apologize..?” Mitama looked back at her desk, seeing the new ink and quill- the corner of the paper.. somehow that triggered tears to fall down her face quietly. “...I am sorry too, Dwyer..” she says, trying not to look at him to hide the water droplets coming from her eyes...

Dwyer may or may not be here to finally apologize, knowing that he might get another rock or something thrown at him didn't stop him either. However he's not good with words sometimes and this was one of those times. So he's just going to put a new set of her writing papers and a quill down on her bedside table for her before trying to leave before he was noticed.

She’d been about to sleep finally- finding a strange peace, hiding in her room. She heard her door open, and expected a family member to call her attempt to get her out of bed... but they set something down on teh desk and left- or started to. Mitama looked confused a moment, before poking her head out, and spotting Dwyer.

“What..what do you want, Dwyer.” She says lowly, quiet yet demanding.

"Mitama, are you here?" Takumi knocks on the door, alongside him are servants with tea and snacks on trays. "I've heard you haven't had the best day. I thought maybe you might need someone to talk to. If not, maybe just a distraction."

She won’t move from her bed- and she hasn’t really all day long. However, the voice of her Uncle rouses her from deep within the covers. “...You may enter, Uncle Takumi.” She says loud enough for him to hear. 

“I do not wish to talk about anything bothering me...many people already have not listened..my heart grows tired.”

Here comes Auntie Araceli, armed with fluffy pillows, warm blankets, and a cup of tea. Poor Mitama. She didn't deserve that over a mistake.

She barely moves to greet her Aunt, blanket pulled up as far as it'll go over her face, and curled in a ball. However, when she hears someone enter her room, she peeks out. "..Sweet Auntie?"

Good luck getting her out of bed now. She’s staying in her room for the next twenty years.

{❧} —- “Should have checked to see if there was a child there or not… They’re children they’re gonna go exploring. Jeez.”

Dwyer doesn’t seem to be having much trouble holding onto her, and he soon reaches the lake in question.

{❧} —- “Throwing you into the lake on three. One… Two…”

“AAIIEE!!”

She hits the water with a scream, it’s none too deep, and the rocks are mostly flat, but it’s cold and her outfit is now ruined, as well as her parchment, ink, and quill pen. She looks miserable, dripping lake water from head to toe.

“Miserable wretch!” She shrieks at him, picking up a small rock and tossing it at Dwyer- before he can get near her, she picks herself up and storms off. Whether or not she actually hurt him- that was another story. There was no way she��d ever heal him again.

“I hate him!”

Dwyer takes a moment to transform into a dragon, looking down at her before picking her up and heading off towards the lake.

{❧} —- “If you say so.”

Oh- oh god wait- he was serious?!

“Unhand me! This cloth upon my body is not meant for such water, and for what? Speaking mind to Mother when a child should not have been there? Woe is me... I am being bullied by an over grown lizard..”

Needless to say, she is struggling.
