cheeks flush a light pink at his light teasing. "eighty seven? that's...a lot. tell me you aren't thinkin' of trying to eat them all in one sitting." she echoed, eyes wide as she looked over at the man. at the mention of his brother her cheeks grew a shade darker, quick to shake her head. "o-oh you don't have to.....i like both of you." she corrected herself hastily.

" ain't got no shift, huh ? " chuckles to himself as he lightly mimics her accent, shakes his head a little in amusement. " yeah, wanted to get into the christmas spirit. plus i heard there'd be about eighty seven different kinds of pastries, and i'm a sucker for that. " and he wants to see how many suspicious definitely supernatural things he'd find drawn out into the crowds. " but hey — just me right now. sorry that sam's not with me. " smirks ... all too teasingly.

"ok, i need your opinion.....does this dress look cute on me?" her words came out in a hesitant manner, her anxiety over such a...different dress evident. since turning she'd been wearing mostly her uniform, since it was the thing she'd been turned in, and she needed a wardrobe update. hours later in the shop and she'd finally turned to a nearby girl in the changing room, her eyes wide and pleading for advice.

jessica couldn't help but smile, nodding eagerly at his words. "yeah, me and my folks always spend it together. carolling, decoratin' a tree..." she trailed off, a sudden thought alarming her. "though...i guess i won't be doing that this year."

her apparent joy at such festivities brought a smile to his face, he was happy to see someone enjoying such things. "you like this time of year, i assume? it appears to bring you joy just speaking of it." he smiled, enjoying her clear optimism.

"i'm so sorry, did you want some whipped cream on that?" jessica asked in a friendly tone, looking over at the customer. the diner had the genius idea of having a stall in this years market for hot beverages, and though it was busy and good for business, it meant that it was bad for the redhead, having been left alone for hours at this point. "we've just been real busy is all."

"dean!" the redhead's eyes lit up at the sight of the oldest winchester, waving a gloved hand at him. after all, if she saw dean, sam usually was trailing along after. it was cute, how the dean always seemed so eager to see her, whilst sam stood back, a little more hesitant. though, hopefully that little dynamic would change now that they'd been on a date. however, the lone man was still enough to excite her. "you wanted to come check out the market too huh? luckily i ain't got no shift until monday."

"well...y'now, to celebrate christmas. try some new foods, find some little things to buy as presents for your family and friends. it's just kind of a heart-warming thing to do for your loved ones." she couldn't help but smile as she spoke. she loved christmas.

"what exactly is the purpose of a christmas market?" he had not seen anything such as this , it was unlike his wildest imagination. he had not lived long enough to become consumed in modern day festivities, but he was in truth , amazed by what it had to offer. a small smile slips to his lips, eyes gleaming in the glistening lights.

"it is?" she asked, quietly hating the way her voice sounded so small. "please. i just...i just wanted to have a normal day for once in my life. to go on my first date." she admitted with a small nod. his comment was enough to surprise her, a small giggle slipping from his lips. "you are such a liar." she commented, the louisiana accent stronger in her amusement. "you makin' me a coffee? well how could i say no to that." she said, unable to stop the wide smile from spreading to her lips.

''My job. It's more complex than what you think I do'' Sam sighed. ''All you need to know for now is that I can help you get through this. I know....this is a lot to take in. We don't have to talk about it right now, It can be for tomorrow.'' he gave her a soft smile, giving her hand a squeeze. ''You look beautiful even when you cry.'' his voice was gentle, before he shook his head at her next words. '' Who said it was over? we've got time to end on a high. How about a coffee? one that i've made for a change.'' he suggested. ''Unless you're ready for me to take you home of course.''

"little vamplin'?" the words practically squeaked from her lips, eyes wide as though she were a deer caught in headlights. "how...how did you know that?" her voice was a low whisper, unable to take her eyes off the man. she'd yet to feed since she turned, the fear of hurting someone all too real after seeing sam and talking about vampirism.

"oh, you look positively famished, little vampling. fancy grabbing a bite to eat?" alec teased, crystal eyes glinting with mischief as he eyed the redhead.

"me? uh, yeah, i am." jessica tapped her fingers on the bar counter nervously, looking over at the other girl. spending her time in bars was...new, and without the usual friendly bartender she was somewhat at a loss over how to act. "i'm just...not used to spendin' time in places like this."

"you here alone?" she would not usually be as forthcoming , intrigue growing within her from spotting the figure across the room. she was taken away by thoughts of which lingered, deciding to get a drink at a local bar. she felt odd to be on the other side of the bar, normally being the bartender herself. she felt lost, undefined in such a new location. she felt as if her use had been lost, along with luke and tyler. the two people in her life that had meant the most, and now ? she did not know who she is. "are-are you sure?" jessica couldn't help but ask, doe eyes looking over to him in concern. but he was right - the noise was too much. before he could answer the redhead brought the buds up, pressing them into her ears. 

the muffled words reached her without the beat of his heart, causing her to smile in vague relief. "i...oh no, it's ok. this works. thank you, thank you so much."

Winnie nodded in understanding. "I never liked noise that much anyway." They said. The fae pulled out his loop earbuds to the other. "I usually wear them fwhen I do crowd control." They said. "It doesn't help with every feeling but it reduces it." He said giving her the extra set they had.

"The patrol car is also almost sound proof, just some static." He offered. The fae geuinely knew the human world was noiser than a natural disaster.

his words were enough to distract her, eyes widening as she looked up at him. "you...you have? how? i-i didn't know. not until someone started...well, feedin' on me a few months back." she admitted, eyes casting downwards momentarily. the months of serving him with a turtleneck on, her bitemarks hidden while long sleeves hid the marks from her family. it had all seemed.....hopeless. 

her fingers entwined with his, chest rising and falling as she eased into steady breaths, her free hand moving to wipe the tears from her face. "i'm sorry. this wasn't suppose to be how this night ended."

A sigh passed his lips as she spoke, giving her a soft smile. ''Because I can help you through this okay?'' he wasn't sure how he was supposed to explain what it was that he did to her. ''I've been around this kind of thing before...around other people like you.'' he didn't want to offend her in any way with his wording. ''We can control this...and you don't need to hurt anyone, you can be this without hurting anymore.'' he assured her, his hand moving to hers. ''Just breathe Jess, breathe. I'm here...you're okay and you're not going to hurt anyone.''

the scent of the blood was strong. strong enough to pull the young vampire from her walk home, turning instead down a darkened alleyway to find another two already with the human. "is....is everythin' alright here?" she asked nervously, hoping the shadows masked the darkening of the veins around her eyes enough to come across as normal.

vampires often made him hostile, given the experiences he'd had with the creatures in the past. while things certainly could've changed since the 90s, bo highly doubted it. would he ever admit fault for the warring between the wolves and the vampires of new orleans? of course not. he'd rather just blame it all on the arrogance of the undead and assume every vampire was just as awful as the last. so when he rounds the corner to find some vamp fangs deep in the neck of an innocent, he can't say he's entirely surprised.
