Jeffrey Crenshaw, Programmer, Engineer, Transphobe
Jeff Crenshaw (aka Curious13512995, eiyukabe) who formerly worked on games such as Watchdogs Legion, Paladins: Champions of the Realm and Spec Ops: The Line has recently risen to infame recently by participating in #GCComingOutDay (Gender Critical Coming Out Day) claiming to have been fired for “standing up for women’s rights on social media”. So what were these posts?
Well since this account was made in early 2021 we must assume that this would be a throwaway account, so after some digging we can find that a programmer called “Jeff Crenshaw” used to go by the name “Eiyukabe”.
I wasn’t sure these were the same people at first until I found a thread where journalist Rami Ismali and a now deleted eiyukabe twitter account were having an argument over weather it was right to remove a transphobic voice actress from Watch Dogs: Legion.
Not only did “Curious13512995“ chime in on this thread a whole 9 months after the fact, presumably having just been fired from Ubisoft. He also claimed to be another person entirely coming to defend another person who’s called Jeff Crenshaw who also worked at the exact same companies he did. Assuming he wasn’t fired for publicly denouncing his place of work while still under their employ, let’s dig deeper.
So what posts have been made under the name Eiyukabe? Well as it turns out there was a Reddit account that went by that name that is also suspended (I wonder why?) Thankfully Reddit has a whole archive for a user’s deleted posts so let’s have a look, shall we?
Immediately we can see that he likes to post on the transphobic subreddit r/TumblrInAction, not exactly the most flattering start.
Next we can see him participating in a “super-straight” subreddit, a subreddit that was so exclusively transphobic that it had to be removed for breaking site-ToS.
Here he is on r/TrueUnpopularOpinion stating that trans people he talks to feel harassed when he misgenders them.
Didn’t think it could get worse? Here he says the n-word with the hard-r unprovoked.
Well by this point you’ve probably seen enough or you think he’s moved on since then...
NOPE, he’s still going with this as recently as 2 days ago, he’s just learned to start using asterisks to avoid suspension now.
Here he calls trans-women “trans-identifying males” while still claiming TERF to be a slur.
and here he is threatening gun violence at trans-supportive places of work.
Well after all that, if this hasn’t convinced any future employers to NEVER hire Jeffrey Crenshaw then I don’t think anything can.
