i'll defend fanfic for my whole life. like the joy it brings is genuinely transformative and indulgent in a way unique to the genre. it isn't meant for a market, it isn't meant to be sold or marketed. it is born out of such care and passion for a media that one must write and must share it, so other folks can enjoy it to. for no other reason than love and joy. do you know how special that is? especially in our current social and political climate.

One slightly underrated thing about Sanctuary is that it makes it real clear (even clearer than “Entombed” does) that Omega admires the hell out of Phee. She thinks Phee is the coolest person alive. Phee is her awesome adventure aunt. She’d like to be more like Phee when she grows up.

I usually spend a lot of time editing and fine-tuning my comics so that they come across as polite and inoffensive. But honestly, I’m really tired of the way Asian cultures and countries are treated / talked about while Asian people themselves are excluded, and thought it was about time I really let my rage out lol.
