Damn, how amazed I am by the characters of Don't Starve! They’re so fun to draw — those shapes, those angles, those lines.. I can’t even understand how they pulled it off. I mean they don’t seem that simple, yet they’re so easy to draw. Even people who haven't learned to draw can make them look cool. I just fell in love with this art style

Well yeah, I fucked up and only afterwards thought to actually read the rules of billiards… And found out that apparently they’re not supposed to go for the eight ball yet when they still have balls left on the table. Um..let’s just pretend it was meant to be this way 🥶🥶

Actually, this was supposed to be an artwork in my usual style, but I majorly fucked up the anatomy and was super pissed off at how it was turning out. So I took a break, thought things through, and decided to go for something simpler. That Pinterest reference with the reflection in the ball totally saved me. And in the end, it turned out even better than I originally planned, lol.

While working on it I stumbled on a cool sound that reminded me of this chapter.

Haven’t done one of those goofy meme-animatics in ages. No idea why I stopped, I used to love doing them.  Well, I’m glad I caught up on what I missed 😁😁😁😁

stanmans are crazy bc. it's subtle, you know? blink and you'll miss it kind of thing. they're friends but stan also kinda dislikes cartman and cartman kinda likes stan but they're close friends and maybe they understand each other too well and stan is afraid to become like cartman and maybe becoming a bit like cartman is inevitable when you grow up and maybe you were the one cartman based his current personality on all along because he actually looks up to you as what a guy is supposed to be and maybe as you grow older you let down one more person but what can you do at this point right?? you're getting old and there's no goodness in the adult world so maybe you're both doomed to being terrible and maybe it doesn't matter because what's the point of thinking about all this when you have to think about college and job and dying and a family and 100 other things. so with your fates sealed you sit on a porch drinking soda and coming up with terrible jokes only you two would laugh at. gay ass musical references and all. Anyways!

Oh man! I liked the songs you recommended, especially Medicine. I can't help but notice some interesting thoughts, it's so cool that stanman lets you go wild, go further than usual romantic relationships, because their dynamics can be much deeper. Like, for me, it's even better if it's a broship, sometimes it's just more appropriate in their relationship, I guess. Or when there's something ambiguous, like this pairing itself, lol.

Oh, you asked me about songs! I've been waiting for this my whole life, haha!

I was actually planning to put it in my headlist, but this is even better. Each song is somehow associated with stanmans, but everything is a little mixed up because it contains songs that I associate with different AUs. The song that I associate most with stanmans is Perfect by The Smashing Pumpkins. This song really describes the whole essence of stanman for me. The versatility of this pairing and what they sing about in the song go together incredibly well.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Your words reminded me of the atmosphere of the fanfic "А поспорим". I even caught the vibe to listen to some Russian songs, maybe I'll even find something for the playlist XD.

question to you if thats ok: if u were to simplify stanmans in a few words, how would you do it? 👀 i personally have a lot of problems with it cuz,,, u know, it feels like their chemistry is very precise and exists because of its complicatedness(???) so uh yeah what do YOU think???

Oh bro, this is hard for me too. I like stanman because of its ambiguity, there is no specific trope like in other pairings. It can be played out in completely different ways, and honestly, I'm amazed at how different people's ideas about headcanons are. Like, in a good way! So many cool AUs! Everyone finds something for themselves in stanman and that's great. I was once asked to tell about their dynamics, and for several weeks now I've been making this headcanon list, where different AUs are collected. And I definitely can't describe their relationship somehow briefly, unless I describe a specific AU, but how much sense will that make? One AU can't describe the full potential of their pairing so yeah..

Anyway, I hope to finish this headlist someday. And while I'm doing it, I'll be glad to know about your favorite AUs or headcanons. What do you think of stanman in general and why do you like it? Maybe even just songs that remind you of stanman, I'd be interested to read and listen to! Thank you for writing, it’s very flattering that someone is interested!

Thank you, XD! That’s really nice to hear. Actually, I don’t position myself as a stanman artist. I'm just an artist who draws whatever he likes, and at the moment it's Stanman. But you know what? As long as there are creative people who inspire me, as long as there are artists drawing this ship too, and as long as there are Stanman edits with songs by The Sundays — I’ll keep creating. And a couple of pics are already on the way. 🤑

Btw, you can suggest an idea for art or share a headcanon, and I'll draw it if I like it. Inbox is always open and I'm always glad to see Stanman fans there!
