My only regret is that the one post of mine to do numbers is doing a lot of its numbers in a specific kink community. It's not highly offensive to me it's just, come on guys. I'm a stimblog, this was not kink content. I'm swatting you with the rolled up newspaper, get outta here.

Formal announcement that I'm stepping down the drive to be "a stimblogger" and putting this blog on permanent semi-hiatus. I won't be keeping a queue or a regular posting schedule, but nothing is changing about what I do post. It'll just be much less regular. Long version below (there's no drama or big reveal, it's just more detail on the above).

If it matters, a lot of factors went into this, but mostly I just lost interest in "running" the blog vs keeping the blog. I have a life and I have stronger interests outside of this blog's content. But these things are still my interests. I made a good go of trying to be A Blogger and "run a blog," whatever that means, but I hit an engagement wall that ended up being too hard to overcome.

Still, I want to thank everyone who ever followed and reblogged and sent asks and engaged with this blog. When it was active, this was easily the most interaction I've ever gotten out of a side interest blog and it was fun!

Ultimately it just got to be too much of a pain vetting other blogs every time the community went through some toxic shit (the heavy DDLG lean in the very beginning, the endo/exo system arguments that I do not have a single opinion on but had to blog very carefully to stay out of, then the rampant exclusionism/aphobia thing, etc.). I think a lot of this stems from the active stim community skewing young, overall. I felt more and more like I was too old to really be an active part of it.

And I consider myself both lucky and skilled that I managed to gain 5k+ followers and still Stay Out Of It, no matter what "It" was. I've gotten so much more harassment and trolling on blogs that have way fewer followers, so this was overall a very positive experience! I want to keep it like that. The whole community has changed anyway. I've been out of it for too long. I could get back in, but I get very little from putting in the work.

So if you want to keep hanging out, I'll still be making occasional stimboards (still something I have an interest in), and reblogging miniatures, food, and things that trigger my visual ASMR. Not as regularly and not in the volume I used to, but I don't plan to abandon or delete just yet.
