bear with me and prepare for a LOT of (purely theoretical ofc) yapping

so we know that andarna is an irid right? shes the last of her kind and is the only breed capable of killing venin. irids also normally stay feathertails. however, andarna chose to become a scorpiontail.

scorpiontails have venom (atleast andarna being an irid, and special and everything could + their tails have poisonous barbs, couldn't that poison be harnessed?)

what if a potential cure (or at least ingredient of said cure) to being venin is her venom? it makes sense that it hasnt been discovered amongst the humans/empyrean (since andarna was the last irid) and the other irids (since they choose to stay feathertails).

another thing is the fact that violet has a very extensive knowledge on poisons (fonilee berries, anyone?) and could probably use andarnas venom to develop a cure. also her brother is literally a mender, + one of her friends is a siphon (i think theoretically sloane could siphon the dark magic out of xaden with the help of a cure/andarnas venom and brennan directing her/mending any issues that taking out all that magic would cause + hes also a poison master soo.. research help? lmao idk)

also (correct me if i’m wrong) but i’m pretty sure that in os, when they were meeting the irids, leothan or one of the elders asked andarna why she chose to change her tail from feathered to scorpion. this could imply that she knew (or atleast had a good guess) that the venom would be needed, and adapted to suit it.

tairn has also mentioned that dragons tails grow based on their needs- iridescent scorpiontail venom could be a need for the cure, couldn’t it?

it seems perfect- magical venom/poison from the only breed of dragons capable of killing venin + the bonded human of the last of the said breed of dragons having an extensive knowledge of poisons and allied to a siphon and a mender (who's also a poison master).

has anyone noticed that xaden and violets eyes mirror eachothers dragons? xadens eyes are onyx with gold flecks in them- tairn and andarna, and violets eyes are described as a mix of blues and ambers- the blue for sgaeyl. do yall think rebecca did this on purpose? (who am i kidding ofc she did lol)
