📰NEWS: The Romanian RG Federation🇷🇴 has published a document where it is openly stated that Christina Dragan is at the moment not part of the national team following the accusations she made against the same Federation.

In October 2024 it was revealed that Annaliese and Christina’s father wrote letter to the Association Protection of Athletes Rights in which he accused Irina Deleanu of inappropriate and discriminatory behavior: public humiliation of honor and dignity by looks and ability, creating culture where this is norm, Annaliese's injuries and fact that she was forced to keep performing with it, comparing her to cow because of her weight, gymnast exhaustion and ignoring it from Irina Deleanu.

Deleanu denied allegations and said it was the girls' mother who insisted on losing weight and comparing them to cow. She also said that girls have health problems that have been controlled with family, and ankle injury due to congenital deformity has been there for a long time.

The Romanian Olympic Committee stated they didn’t receive the letter and the infamous “Association Protection of Athletes Rights” is apparently only a Facebook page, it doesn’t exist in reality.

Then, some days later some chats between Deleanu and the girls’ mother were leaked and it appears clear that it was indeed the mother who made comments about her daughter’s body [i won’t post the chats as they could be triggering to someone]. The father apparently regrets having caused the scandal and it looks like he didn’t know anything. However, the Olympic Committee referred the case to the Ethics Commission, obliging to respond to the complaint.

Though again in January a documentary was posted on Youtube in which many Romanian gymnasts (Mailat, Filiorianu, Duman, C. Dragan, Piscupescu) make serious accusations against the coaches. TW: IMPLIED ED (?), ABUSE in particular, it is said that Deleanu would call Christina a whore, an idiot, a peasant and would always control what they were eating; all of this when Christina was just 14.
