Repent and Believe the Gospel
In summary, the Gospel is the Good News of Christ’s life, death and resurrection. Christ lived a perfectly sinless life we could not live, died for our sins on the cross, and rose from the dead so that sinners who place their faith in Him would be saved from death (the penalty of sin is both physical death and eternal conscious punishment in Hell).
Overall, the message of the gospel can be summed up in this order: God’s character, humankind’s sinfulness, the finished work and person of Jesus Christ, and the response of repentance and faith.

Quote
The gospel call to the sinner throughout Scripture is a simple, succinct command—repent and believe. If we are to faithfully and accurately proclaim the gospel, our message must culminate in a call for the sinner to put his [or her] faith in Christ and repent from his [or her] sin.

Sound checking for our last Christmas concert of the season.
There are times in life when you realize you’ve been given a gift that is rare. Exceptional, once in a lifetime and more reflective of the perfect eternal than of the tainted present. When you realize this gift was specifically intended for you from the One who designed and authored your very life, it fuels hope. Hope, the desire and search for a future good. I am thankful this Christmas for one such gift in my best friend. Someone who has sacrificed and labored with me in the desire to live a difficult life but one that would bring glory to God and show others the greatness of His love. We’ve been tossed and tried, brought to great heights and heartbreaking depths but in all of it her perseverance and grace has been an endless encouragement to me. This friendship is gift too great for words but keeps me looking to and searching out the Giver of it who will one day redeem all things to make them reflect His own perfect goodness.

Judging others makes us blind, whereas love is illuminating. By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are
