Next painted tree in our park. I have learned that this paintings aren’t hurtful for trees. On the contrary these paintings help to isolate injuries on the tree trunks. This is about love in many languages!
My friend made a beautiful brooch for me. Dandelions are my favorites! And the wall and the grass growing between blocks... Crowley and Aziraphale approved.
Now we are reading the next book about Xar’s and Wish adventures.
The song of the Loner Raving Fangmouth werewolf called Lonesome is just awesome. And Tennant is singing that words so perfectly in the audiobook!
“Me and the moon, the moon and me
When all the world gives up on me
When everyone thinks bad about me
I still have the moon, it`s me and the moon
It`s always the moon and me
So I have to keep running, keep running
Can`t stop in case I bite someone
Keep running, keep running
I thought I was good and then I looked down
My shaggy coat, my wolfy paws
I`m bad as a snake and meaner than grit
Don`t try to stop me `cause you will get bit
Let me keep running
I`m running for the moon, up to the moon
Where I can be good
When all the world gives up on me
When everyone thinks bad about me
I still have the moon, it`s me and the moon
Mostly it`s me and the moon”
― Cressida Cowell, Twice Magic
“Once there was magic, wandering free
in roads of sky and paths of sea
and in that timeless long gone hour
words of nonsense still had power
doors still flew and birds still talked
witches grinned and giants walked
we had magic wands and magic wings
and we lost our hearts to impossible things
Unbelievable thoughts, unsensible ends
for wizards and warriors might be friends.
In a world where impossible things are true, I don't know why we forgot the spell
when we lost the way
how the forest fell
but now we are old, we can vanish too.
And I see once more the invisible track
that will lead us home and take us back
so find your wands and spread your wings
I'll sing your love of impossible things
and when you take my vanished hand, we'll both go back to that magic land
where we lost our hearts
several lifetimes ago
when we were wizards, once.”
― Cressida Cowell, The Wizards of Once
I am now a happy owner of three new books of Cressida Cowell! These are paper editions and I never had so new books. The third volume was edited in 2020! Moreover these books aren’t translated into Russian yet! So now I am reading them to my boy in my own translation. And the books are The Wizards of Once. We even take the first story to the convention with us.
