My pet peeve regarding any English language MP100 media is the lack of consistency with name order. I see so many posts referring to (for example) Shigeo Kageyama and Reigen Arataka in the same sentence. Even the official dub does this! Pick a format and stick with it!

Just started Season 2 and I'm having a great time. I've been thrown for a loop a bit regarding Gertrude, but it's a paranormal horror podcast. Being shot to death doesn't necessarily mean anything. She could still be chilling.

Who is not chilling? Jonathan. He could stand to take the paranoia down a notch or twenty. (I think it was supernaturally exacerbated by the thing in the basement.)

(I mean, he's definitely right to be scared, but maybe about the wrong things.)

Finally got around to listening to The Magnus Archives. I'm only 6 episodes in but I quite like it so far. It's creepy, but not too creepy (yet). I do know some spoilers (a consequence of simply existing on Tumblr when TMA was first coming out), but none of them in context. I don't think it will mar my enjoyment of the series too much.

What I know so far, including spoilers I've encountered:

The writer and POV character are both named Jonathan Sims. This is very confusing. At least WTNV gave Cecil a different last name.

Jonathan does not like Martin very much right now, but they will like each other quite a lot by the end of the series.

Tim and Sasha are the real MVP's, doing all the dirty work only to get brushed off by Jonathan.

There are a dozen or so entities (?) that are manifestations of primal fears. They can interact with and possess people. They are all ultimately part of the same Fear Creature, which nearly ends the world at the end of the series.

The ending is ambiguously tragic, but the events of the ongoing sequel mitigate that somewhat.

Jorgen Leitner (spelling?) and his works have been, currently are, and will continue to be a Problem.

Gertrude is not actually dead, just chilling.

Elias is the worst.

Someone apologizes for a deception, and this is a big plot twist. I am not entirely certain if this is in TMA or a different podcast.

The thought that Brucie Wayne and Batman being two completely separate entities that Bruce can code switch between has consumed me especially with the idea that he mixes the two together on occasion to fuck with people

Big news, I'm reading parts of A Short Introduction to the Tiberian Masoretic Bible and its Reading Tradition (Geoffrey Khan), and there's a some huge stuff. dagesh-yud pronounced as /ɟ/, emphatic allophones of zayin and dhaled, voiced allophone of tzadi, vav pronounced usually as /v/, both uvular and alveolar realizations of resh, it's insane.
