Normal romance novels: "He manned into the room so mannishly that the force of his male pheromones almost knocked her backwards. You would need a degree in mathematics to even begin counting his rippling abs, that is if you could tear your eyes for a second from the chiselled Adonis belt pointing a not-so-coy arrow to a cock that presumably didn't quit. As soon as his azure gaze pierced her she knew that her downstairs arrangements - and her most fevered masturbation fantasies - would never be the same again."
Me: "Lady," he said to her through a heaving breath. "You don't have to apologise to me. You just saved my life."
"Oh please. It was my fault you had a kidney lodged in your windpipe in the first place." She reached for his plate. "Would you like me to run this through the blender for you?"
I am bad at this, but I do quite enjoy the ways in which I suck.

Still here, but I'm afraid I'm still seething. If anything, my grudges get uglier with time.

It means so much to have a project you loved. Not only one that you loved, but everyone around you loved, to the point where they'd even forgive that a large part of your second season was a rather flabby subplot where your protagonists attempt to play matchmaker to two brand new characters you didn't even bother fleshing out. That kind of shiny, excited love has a buoyancy like no other when it comes to creative projects. It bobs the thing along, and feeds you seemingly infinite dopamine. It has you kicking your feet and giggling like a maniac as you concoct the next plot twist you know will make your readers gasp and laugh that they didn't see it coming. As a writer I can tell you that it's the best feeling in the world, and having it all yanked out from under you?
Having your specialest baby boo boo I-love-you-to-a-degree-that-is-truly-stupid passion project finished by another writer?
Absolutely devastating. Can't think of anything worse.
Good.
Just want to say that having another writer rewrite and condense the six episodes that NG already wrote is like the biggest Fuck You to that asshole that we could hope for, while also still getting a conclusion that preserves the ending Terry wanted
Like I'm past the point of feeling like celebrating anything that has to do with s3 at this point... but this does, on some level, feel like a win

The trouble with me is I've always been spite-motivated. It's not a great quality, I know, but if people hadn't treated me like shit in the first place then maybe I'd be nicer. Oh, boo-hoo - you never finished that novel you started for bragging rights, while treating me like a housework donkey, then publicly joking about what a lazy slob I was? Fuck you. I'll finish a novel. I'll finish fucking twenty, or more, and I'll keep up with vacuuming the stairs.
So it puts me in a bit of a bind whenever I'm angry. It makes me want to be like "yes, I'll finish the story people want an end to, because I can, and you can't, at least not without people feeling sick and sad and hurt at the horrible thought of you. No, not everyone likes me, but at least I never treated human beings like disposable things for my amusement, and at least they can still read my words without feeling queasy in the specific, deep, and disgusting way you make people feel queasy."
I don't know. Don't know what it is. Maybe it's the stubborn completist in me, or maybe I'm just kind of a cunt. Either way, I'm still angry, and I'll probably stay angry. God knows I know how to hold a grudge.

I see he's reached the Bargaining stage of career grief.
He not only wants to have his cake and eat it, but he wants us to eat it, because his cake is so wonderful, and he made it for us. He'll do anything to make sure we get to eat that cake, even if it means doing something that - while it looks like an admission of guilt - is definitely not one. Nuh uh.
Neil Gaiman Offers to Leave 'Good Omens' Roles Amid Allegations
The initial source is from Deadline. The same who spoke first about disney putting on hold The Graveyard adaptation and the pause of GO.
No official comment from Amazon so maybe it's still better to take this with precaution for now.
I still think the show should be canceled though. Even if Amazon decides to take a back seat on the show, he'll still get the money at the end.

The only thing I didn't like about Kaos was that there wasn't enough of it. I need more. I need more story, more plot twists. I need to know who Hera was calling on the payphone in episode eight. I need to meet the other kids who wouldn't answer the phone to Zeus. I need Dionysus to meet Ariadne, and I need to know what the hell Caeneus even is to do what he does. Most importantly I need Netflix not to Netflix this bonkers gem of a show.
zeus is a psychopath. orpheus is a singer. eurydice dies in the first episode. no one listens to cassandra. caeneus is trans. everyone is gay. this show is perfection.

NaNoWriMo out here trying to have a worse tag day than Neil Gaiman. Difficult, but not outside the realm of possibility.

NaNoWriMo - now brought to you by the planet incinerating energy wastes that gave us such viral hits as eating rocks, and putting glue on pizza.
And if you object you're being ableist, and classist. Or something.
Absolute clown shit. A+ burning down your entire brand and raison d'etre. No notes.
Tumblr media
So it looks like NaNoWriMo are happy to have AI as part of their community. Miss me with that bullshit. Generative artificial intelligence is an active threat to creativity and the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people in creative fields.
Please signal boost this so writers can make an informed choice about whether to continue to take part in such a community.
