I knew it was a good idea to keep it. I mean, when we made the move here to Atlantic City, it felt right to keep our place in the city, just in case. And see? Now you get to use it while you work, and we get to spend the weekend there too!

With everything going on, I'd forgotten we opted to keep that place in the end. Perfect, problem solved.

You'd really do that? It would definitely make it easier if I knew I'd still get to see you four days a week.

That sounds super interesting, babe! And there's no way anyone can really beat you to it. I mean, if they saw you on Wonka, they know they would have a hit on their hands. They wouldn't not take that chance.

I can see that being something that could happen, yes. But Jesse- that shouldn't stop you from doing it, if you get the part. Acting on the stage i's what you love doing! You could stay in our apartment in the city, and I could go there on Fridays and we can come back together on Sunday morning. I have managers here who can take care of the hotel for me, no problem!

The point is, I want you to do it, babe. If you do get the part, this is your chance to shine again, like the star you are.

It's an original show... I don't know too much about it yet - they're probably keeping it vague unless people accept the audition. I know it's a historical piece but with more modern music. Apparently they saw me in Wonka and that was one of the influences on the character.

The only problem is that if I got a role on Broadway again, it'd mean I'd be in New York Tues-Sat, and then only be able to commute back to AC for the weekends.

Consider it done!

Though there is something I wanted to talk to you about... regarding my Broadway years. I was offered an audition for a new role. I haven't said yes, but I also haven't turned it down yet... I wanted to talk to you about it.

OH! I know what we could do! We could put up a sign up on the terrace of the hotel, with big lightbulbs, that reads "JESSE AND DARIUS BELONG TO ONE ANOTHER". How's that? That way everybody knows!
