HOW TO DONATE TO BLM WHEN YOU HAVE NO MONEY
a black woman named zoe amira posted a video on youtube. this video is an hour long and filled with art and music from black creators. it has a ton of ads, and in result will rack up a ton of revenue. 100% of the ad revenue from the video will be dispersed between various blm organizations, including bail-out funds for protesters. it will be split between the following, dependent on necessity
brooklyn bail fund
minnesota freedom fund
atlanta action network
columbus freedom fund
louisville community bail fund
chicago bond
black visions collective
richmond community bail fund
the bail project inc
nw com bail fund
philadelphia bail fund
the korchhinski-parquet family gofundme
george floyd’s family gofundme

turn off your adblocker and put the video on repeat. do not skip ads. let it play on loop whether you’re listening or not. mute the tab if you need to focus elsewhere. but let. it. play.
youtube will donate to blm for you.
youtube
please, please reblog. for people who don’t have money to spare, this is incredibly important information to have.

‘Leverage’ Reboot Starring Noah Wyle Ordered By IMDb TV; Original Series’ Team, 4 Cast Members Set To Return
EXCLUSIVE: Dean Devlin, John Rogers and Chris Downey’s cult 2008 crime drama series Leverage is coming back with a new lead. IMDb TV, Amazon’s free, ad-supported streaming service, has ordered a Leverage reimagening, headlined by Noah Wyle in a reunion with Rogers and Devlin after their collaboration on The Librarian/The Librarians franchise. It marks the first major original series for IMDb TV, whose content team recently moved under the Amazon Studios umbrella.
The reimagining will include new characters, including one played by five-time Emmy nominee Wyle, who also will direct two of the 13 episodes. He will be joined by original cast members Beth Riesgraf, reprising her character as “Parker”; Gina Bellman as “Sophie Devereaux”; and Christian Kane as “Eliot Spencer”– who will all be series regulars — as well as Aldis Hodge, who will return as “Alec Hardison” in a recurring role, subject to availability from his Showtime series City on a Hill, whose Season 2 will likely be filming at the same time as Leverage.

After the Finale
Parker, Hardison, and Eliot all keep in touch with the Sophie and Nate after the later two retire.
At first they mostly call Sophie because, like when she was on her journey of self-discovery, they all want advice for grifting so they call the best grifter they know. She loves it because she gets the best of going legit with Nate while still being able to keep her hand in the game. She is no longer an actress in their jobs but she gets to be a kind of long distance director. Of course, they ask her about her theater too, and keep up with each other’s lives, but she is the one they call in the middle of a con.
Keep reading below the cut because this got very long.

I don’t like to use the term “triple threat,” because it suggests that I’m limited to only three skills.

Dealing with Nathan Ford is like playing chess with a master. Dealing with his team, on the other hand, is like playing checkers with a three year old; they like to change the rules.

I think perhaps that the most significant thing that can be learned from just how damn satisfying that Leverage final episode is this: Know where you want your character to end.
Not your plot; your character. The plot can go in any one of a million directions. But if you know the direction a character is going, what their final destination is (For instance: “Parker is going to end the series as the Mastermind”) Then the plot can go in all KINDS of directions while still dipping into that central theme. It’s not “how would Parker-as-she-is-now react to this situation,” it’s “how-would-Parker-as-the-future-mastermind-of-the-team-react to this situation”.
And that saves a show from one of the most frustrating things as the seasons drag on. Characters either regress or grow stagnant. Regression is not necessarily by itself an evil, but when overused or circled around again and again, it gets exhausting to watch as a viewer.
(Even Nate’s drinking is never really a regression. He’s always struggling with it in a different way, drunk season one, sober season two, drunk again season three but embracing the fact that he’s a thief.)
And yeah, I do think that good character development won’t always save a plot that’s gone way off of the rails, but consistent character growth can at least make a bad plot bearable. Aliens suddenly dropping in from outer space during the leverage finale would have been a shit ending. There are some things character development, well, can’t really fix.
But for what Leverage was, and for what it is, and for how shockingly satisfying and well-loved that ending is, I really do think it all ties back to intentions being carried out. It’s a little bit like one of the team’s cons, just on a larger, different scale. When you rewatch, you see the pieces. You see how it was ALWAYS supposed to be Nate and Sophie leaving the life, but Eliot and Parker and Hardison together.
The echo of the first and last episode is just icing on the cake.
#this!#leverage is the only show where the writers have never let me down#i'm so grateful to john chris and dean for taking such good care of these characters#I will forever sing the praises of this show#also the parallels between the pilot and the finale is something I could talk about endlessly#leverage#lets go steal my heart

Flawless Human Beings » Gina Torres » Gina Torres Alphabet
↳ F → feminism & representation “I certainly came up in an era where women were really making strides and making a point to beat down doors and find their place, and crash through the glass ceiling. And a lot of them did that believing that they had to trade on their femininity and that they had to be a man and tap into whatever they believed was a masculine trait to hang in the boys’ room, to get the "keys to the kingdom” as it were. And what’s beautiful about Jessica Pearson is that she is the next level to that when, really, feminism is about being all that you are and not having to trade one thing for another on your way up, or apologize.“ - Gina Torres (about her character Jessica Pearson, on Suits)
