One thing I will never understand is how certain people in the Gilmore Girls community will look at a traumatized, abandoned teenager like Jess and practically crucify him for not being a good boyfriend to Rory and then look at a privileged, arrogant, reckless adult like Logan and think itās okay for him to act that way because he grew up with sad birthday partiesā¦
Same goes for Christopher (not that Iād ever defend him). People hate him with a passion for being irresponsible and careless and arrogant and pretty similar to Logan. But Logan is perfect and can do no wrong in their eyesā¦

I think a (not big but still there) part of why Jess was having such a hard time admitting that he worked at Walmart was that he would have to admit that Dean was working for the independent mom-and-popstore movement (at least pre Soda-shoppe) while Jess anti-establishment-counter-culture-wannabe-punk-rock Mariano himself was working for The Man

Time for a round up of my favorite things ever: old Gilmore Girls promos! If youāve never seen these, youāre in for a treat because I laugh so hard every time.
This is my personal favorite. Youāll notice that green is a theme in the later season promos. Luke peering around the corner is the best part of this š
More green! Also, more creepy faces and bad editing. Sorry for another Christopher promo, but the shitty editing and the way they make it seem Lorelai has never heard the word fiancƩ before is perfect advertising.
Luke and Lorelai advertising is good as well. Here Luke is again, hiding behind Lorelai. I also love how Luke is never dressed how he actually dresses in the show. Also, letās just appreciate the way Lorelai is holding that apple.
I found this promo twice, once with Logan and once with Dean, Iām not sure which one I like betterā¦
Iāve found that the earlier season Gilmore Girls promos are almost exclusively in black and white, which really adds to the drama. I know this is supposed to be dramatic, but it just looks like Dean and Jess are about to kiss.
Here are my favorite Jess promosā¦clearly he learned how to hide behind a Gilmore girl from Luke.
Those are a few of my favorites (there are plenty more lol), I hope you all enjoyed :)

I think Iāve finally pinpointed why I dislike the later seasons of Gilmore Girls (and by this I mean after season 3/4). I just hate how much it resembles a soap opera. All of the ādramaticā scenes and plot lines are overplayed and just donāt seem realistic anymore. Before the show was charming and semi-relatable but, in the later seasons, it just feels like the writing was out of touch. The whole Lukeās secret daughter plot line really adds to this, too. All the characters started acting strange just for the dramatic effect, or at least thatās what it felt like. Maybe this is just me, but the later seasons just feelā¦off.

i like how dean represents roryās humble small town stars hollow world and logan represents roryās wealthy ivy league world and rory being torn between these two worlds is basically the theme of the show, so youād think that the narrative would be very dean vs logan. yet both of them are intimidated not by each other but by this little guy who comes out of nowhere during both relationships, displays an undeniable connection with rory and dips. i love it.
