She laughed, pulling off a piece of her muffin and putting in her mouth. "Like I've said before - I'm always willing to help you with yours."

Messing with Sabrina was so much fun to her, mostly because her reactions were so subtle. It really was cute. Speaking of cute...had she really thrown that comment aside?

Getting up, Karen moved to get some more coffee. Before actually getting it, though, she snuck up behind Sabrina and put her chin on the girl's shoulder. "Now, you're just going to ignore my compliment? How rude." You could practically hear the pout in her voice and the smile on her face.

“…You’re already done with your work?” Her wrapper crinkled a bit in her hand as her grip tightened, but it soon relaxed as she took another dainty bite, still glaring across her table. She completely ignored the ‘cute’ comment. “Means you should do my work for me, hn.” Pulling out her own little phone, she looked back down and devoted all her attention to the little screen.

"Good to know." She sipped her coffee, made nice and sweet with hazelnut creamer. Snagging a half eaten muffin next to her, Karen took a small bite and continued on with her magazine. It was rather boring, but better than nothing.

"Hm?" She looked up, grinning. "Oh, Sabrina, you're so cute. I simply have plenty of free time! All of my work is done already." She takes another triumphant sip and smirked at Sabrina.

“…Caught up? Hn, sort of, yeah.” She dug through her collected purse, eventually pulling out an energy bar. She still avoided eye contact as she focused on opening up the bar and taking a hefty bite. Uuuu, she was hungrier than she thought. Her nose scrunched up a bit, but she passed it off as not being phased at all.  Then, she finally glared up. “What are you doing here? Are you always as unproductive as this?”

"Nnn, hello." She mumbled, not quite catching who's voice it was and not bothering to look up. They knew her name, which most of the teachers did, so it could have been anyone.

It wasn't for a couple of minutes that she noticed the familiar shoes of the track coach. She set her coffee down and looked up. "Oh, Sabrina! Pardon my manners, heh. I see you've caught up on your work?"

… Likewise, Sabrina was all caught up with grading for once. However, being stuffed in her classroom wasn’t that fun after almost an entire term, she found. Heaving a big, irritated sigh, she eventually found herself outside of the protected door to the teacher’s lounge— how she got there, she would never know. She sucked it up and pushed the door open.  “…Karen. Afternoon.” Her brow raised at seeing only the silver-haired teacher seated in the corner, not bothering to make eye contact. Instead, she poured herself a cup of coffee, black, and silently sat down at the opposite table.

Karen sat in the teachers lounge, cup of coffee in one hand and a magazine in the other. The middle of the day was always the best - no one is ever in the lounge and she has no classes for a while. Nice and peaceful.

Ah, for now, all I could as for is at least one student to teach, haha. So, tell me Karen, is it true that you're the school's drama teacher? In fact, I heard that you were putting on a musical. How's that going for you?
