      WAS IT … inviting him onto its head? “ PEW-WEEE !! ” The cosmog happily floats over the Silvally’s mane and bounces.

       HAPPY. HAPPY. He could sense his cosmog was happy, which meant that at least he wouldn’t have to worry about finding it so urgently. “ STAR? ” Kubo had followed the sound of his voice, and … some other sense, until he was peering through the bushes at the two.

        “ STAR! Get away from there! ”

No—! a trap? it had to be a trap!

Jets head reared back, and he stood at full height once more, hot-red optics narrowing, as he stared down at the boy. As quickly as the creature had relaxed, he was back to standing defensively.

 Kubo would be wise to tread carefully.

        WHAT DID IT SAY? Star didn’t quite understand. He’s still getting the gist of language. But it sounds monotone – bored, disappointed, or not impressed, one of the three…. So STAR tries harder to stretch and look tall!

       … No good. The COSMOG stares directly at Jet’s neck, and whimpers. No fair! Why can’t he look big?

Reluctantly, Jet lowers his head down to the Cosmog, his body laying close to the ground.
