Hi Folks! Thought I’d try a short process video showing how I play with new supplies. @artsnacks are always fun, in this case the set of ink pens is fantastic! I think favorite way to work is at a pace the does not allow second guessing wether choices are right; ya just gotta trust the gut and go with the flow. Here’s my take on pointillism. Holy Owl. I saw the amazing works of Christa Rijneveld @christarijn and became inspired by her dedication to process. What I have discovered in creating this is that we are essentially two people, the self that believes and the self that doubts. It is significantly ironic that the majority of the dots were made by erasing, it was created through the process of taking away. Removing, not only pixels but doubt. To touch the screen and each time believing. Heaven is to believe. The end result or even the idea doesn’t matter. What matters is the fullest commitment to the process, to the belief that each moment matters. "You are transparent. I see many things. My last work involved several canvas rotations each resulting in a significantly different iteration of the work.
