Guys I just realized something:

It is reasonable to assume that since Doc has approximately One Fuckzillion clocks, he has a broad range of makes and they span the full range between “fully electrical” and “fully mechanical”. Due to all the differences, there should be almost no physical or electrical way to set them all exactly the same amount behind*. There’s also the question of “why the hell do you want to do that anyway??? doc why are you messing with marty like this??”**

Anyway what I’m saying is Doc slowed down the flow of time in his garage. Instantaneous time travel as we’ve seen needs a load of power and careful infrastructure, but turning the speed up or down a little bit relative to the normal flow in one specific area? Seems like it might be a bit more doable. Could’ve been a calibration test OR he could’ve just been messing around, but either way Doc Brown can definitely do more Weird Time Stuff than we usually assume he can. He probably needed to be off-premises in order to be sure of the exact timing, hence, Marty,*** late for school again. (but kid that’s also on YOU why are you blowing up my amp when you should be at school five minutes ago you have a WATCH don’t you?)

*There may have also been some sort of remote control rig set to each and every one of them, but 25 minutes is weirdly specific and also i find that answer to be boring. It might also require modifications to antiques and I’m not sure if he’d actually be down with that, also why would you not test that while you’re at home?

**Daylight Savings is a pain and he’s probably forgotten it for at least ten years worth of his life

***According to Douglas Adams, phones should not work when time travel shtuff is involved, but if he didn’t slow it down all that much then you probably wouldn’t really be able to hear it. Or he stopped the experiment right before calling Marty. Either way.

I’m not dead, but uh, I dunno, still not really feeling the tumblr RP thing as of right now? I do feel a bit bad, I got some real awesome folks that I’d really enjoyed writing with, but-... Life, school, various such things have been afoot. D&D has taken over the entire RP-processing center of my brain and it is the goshdanged highlight of my week, holy crap. The writing portion of my brain has been a prequel Property of Hate fic as well, and I’m as good at procrastinating it as I am procrastinating my replies. My main social media site has been shifting in a thus-wise direction, and I’ve also been drawing a lot more than I used to, and also video games are a thing.

So... I don’t know if/when I’ll ever be properly “back” on here, but you all are still super awesome and I still love these darned characters! I got a Discord you can bother me for if you’d like. Maybe I’ll make that BTTF server or something...))
