For example, supervisors who would like to address their employee’s subpar performance should always have a relevant documentation of incidents demonstrating the employee’s failure to meet standards. Documentation can include past employee performance evaluations, as well as any other pertinent information. This creates a trail of paperwork that reinforces your findings, in the event of a dispute.
Choosing the right time to have a tough discussion is also important. Be sure to keep in mind how that location and time of the conversation may impact the final outcome or the other person’s perception of you. Avoid getting distracted if the person attempts to deflect, answer your question with a question, or grows defensive. Continue to focus solely on the facts and avoid bringing your personal opinion into the discussion. If the other individual attempts to bring personal matters into the conversation, gently try to steer the conversation back in your direction.
Encourage Feedback
Whether you are the employee speaking to your boss about a difficult subject or you are the boss addressing a staff member, always be sure to indicate you encourage and welcome feedback from the other person. You can begin by asking them their take on the topic of conversation as well as their thoughts on how to best resolve the issue. Although you may not be in complete agreement, at least the other person will feel as though you have taken their thoughts into consideration.
If you are on the receiving end of the conversation, it may be a good idea to listen to the other person’s concerns first, then offer your take on it or clarify what you believe they are saying to you. This will give that person a chance to clear up any misconceptions or even reinforce what you have already stated.

Now, Bursa is the fourth-largest city in Turkey and the seat of its automotive industry. Visitors will find a number of historic points of interest to visit, such as the burial sites of the two sultans who founded the city, and Ulu Cami, the Grand Mosque built in the 1300s. Bursa also has a number of large bazaars and some truly beautiful green spaces.
7. Iznik
An ancient city formerly known as Nicaea, Iznik draws tourists with its 33-foot stone wall that used to circle the entire city. The wall has 108 towers that were intended to provide protection for residents within. Tourists can also visit a number of Roman ruins, as well as see Greek and Roman artifacts in a museum at the former site of the Nilufer Hatun Soup Kitchen, which was built by Sultan Murad I in the 1300s to honor his mother. 4. The Palace Museum
The Palace Museum sits within the Forbidden City, which served as the main residence of the emperors of China for five centuries. This sprawling complex of buildings is situated in the center of Beijing, just north of Tiananmen Square. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Forbidden City dates back to the Ming Dynasty and remains the most well-preserved and largest palace complex in the world. The museum contains artifacts from Chinese imperial families and gives visitors a good sense of what life was like for the ruling class. However, the buildings in the complex are just as much part of the museum as these objects. The red walls, golden tiled rooftops sloping downward, and many statues and carvings are simply beautiful.
Inside the Palace Museum is the Antiquarium, which requires an extra ticket, but the expense is minimal. Here, visitors can see a number of different treasures from the Qing Dynasty housed in glass displays, as well as jewelry and the famous Nine Dragons screen.
5. The National Art Museum of China
