Sensei Dion Risborg's recent triumph at the Karate Australia Australian Open Karate Championships in 2024 is a testament to his unwavering dedication and skill in the art of karate. As the newly crowned Kata Champion in the Veterans category (45yo to 54yo), Sensei Risborg's victory not only reflects his physical prowess but also underscores his profound understanding of karate's principles and techniques.

It is common for Karate Instructors to refer to “loyalty” as part of their Dojo’s Culture.
To expect loyalty, the instructor must be invested in the growth of the participant.
Demanding loyalty, but failing to fulfil the obligation of “teacher”, is a false expectation.
