I said I would do this tomorrow, but while it was on my mind, I decided to go ahead and do it before I went to bed. @morepopcorn taught me how to fix these meshes to keep them from having those invisible spots, but it has doubled the poly count, which means some of these are now ~12000. It's still not killer, but it is up there, so beware. Please redownload the zip for the updated and fixed meshes and recolors! The original post has been updated as well.

As requested by anon, these are the recolors of the Island Living corrugated roof by amoebae, converted to Sims 2. There are 48 roof swatches in total. Files are compressorized. Preview images of each roof swatch are included to make picking and choosing easier, but remember to delete the images before placing the files in your downloads.

But before you download, there are two different versions of this download. If you have a mod installed to make roofs brighter in game, download the "mod" version. If you do not have a mod to make roofs brighter in game, download the "nomod" version. Do not install both.

Roofs are like objects and each have a unique GUID. I used the same GUIDs for both the mod and no mod version, so they will conflict with one another... and there is zero point in installing them both, because they're the exact same roofs, just one compensating for the mod and one not. If you're not sure whether or not you have a brightening mod installed, install the nomod version. If the roofs appear blindingly bright, install the mod version. Or vice versa. Install the mod version, if the roofs come out extremely dark, remove the mod version and install the nomod version. But once again, do not have both in your downloads folder at the same time.

So after saying I couldn't fulfill this request unless some miracle shortcut existed, @dmckim and @felidae-sims pointed out that the always amazing iCad / @dramallamadingdang actually had made a miracle shortcut.

It's going to be time consuming and due to the mapping of Sims 2 roofs, it's going to be a small pattern versus a big one (see the above image of the first swatch for reference), but I can and will fulfill this request. So keep an eye out, I'm on it.

For the record, I'm doing okay, anon! I woke up with a bit of a fever today and maybe a touch of something, but overall, I feel just fine.

And now to why you're really here...

In your honor, anon, a conversion of some/most of bostyny's Fusion set. I saw the Le Creuset pieces and wanted them for my game immediately, and now, I will share them with you.

These meshes use the repository technique to save space. The oval dutch oven and the stack of plates are master meshes, with the oval dutch oven providing recolors for all the other dutch ovens and odds and ends, and the stack of plates providing the recolors for the plates and bowls. There are dozens of recolors of each (you get a small sample in the preview image) and in my opinion all of them are worth keeping, but there are preview images of the recolors in the folder so you can pick and choose what you want to keep. Remember, you must hang on to the master meshes for the slaves to show up.

Everything can be found in Deco > Sculpture. Files are compressorized. The link is mediafire since SFS is just not having it today. I'll update with additional SFS links in the future.

Hi Jinxx! I 100% agree with the notes on the pet food post and the messages you got. There's nothing wrong with your recolors. Plus they look gorgeous! So realistic while still fitting a simlish/4t2 style game, I love them!

Since spring is coming, I also wanted to ask if you could maybe convert spring set 1 and spring set 2 by ars-botanica?

Or if that's too much (perfectly understandable ofc), maybe just the daffodils and forget-me-nots from set 1 and "Centerpiece 1" from set 2?

(some of them are a bit high poly, but since most people would only ever place 1or 2 of them on a lot anyway, it's not too bad imo)

I'm glad you enjoy my recolors. I actually really enjoy updating old textures because there are old sets that really give me nostalgia because I had them in my game when they were actually new, but that are very dated now. Updating them makes me feel like I'm not wasting space by having them in my game and I still get that nostalgia hit.

As requested, this is Spring Sets 1 and 2 from ars-botanica, and-- as the anon said-- some of them are a little high poly. Only one gave me a warning in Simpe, but even that and the other biggest are about the poly count of an alpha hair. Don't fill a lot with them, and you should be okay.

All the arrangements can be found in Deco > Plants except the Forget-Me-Nots that hang on the wall, which can be found in Deco > Wall. Everything is 10 simoleans each. All recolors are included and preview images of those recolors included so you can pick and choose what to keep. Files are compressorized.

I really wanted to let you know that, and I feel a bit awkward about doing a request -- BUT, if you can/want to, the matching tv and cabinet/shelf from casanova cave would be lovely, I think! So this request was two firsts for me. I've never converted a television before, so I can tick that box off my list now, and I've also never done slots on my own and have always just cloned something that already had the slots, but now I've officially done my first slots. It's an exciting day for me as a convertor.

In regards to those slots, there is only one slot on each shelf, because it seemed like the kind of shelf that was meant to have one thing on each shelf. I think any more than that would have made it too cluttered (and I say that as someone who loves clutter).

Onto the nitty gritty... this is "The Zenith Wall Unit" and the "Titan Screen 5000" from Casanova Cave. All recolors are included and preview images off each are included so you can pick and choose which recolors to keep. Files are compressorized.

These are conversions from a really gorgeous Sims 4 set called "Cozy Cabin" by ValiaSims. There are five slots on the end table. The slippers, hat box, makeup bag, and wicker box are deco and can be found in General > Dresser, while everything else can be found in the usual places.

There are a ton of recolors of everything here. I've included the recolor images so you can pick and choose what to keep. Remember to discard the images before adding the files to your download folder.

Hi again Jinxy! I'm loving the cat tree you converted for me & all the gorgeous pet food items you just shared. There are a few items from the Businesses & Hobbies pack that I'm coveting now, and I'm wondering if you have any interest in converting them. The items are the Tat-a-Scribble Set tattoo clutter, the Luminous Leaf tree with fairy lights, and the black swatch of the fence with fairy lights. As always, I appreciate you considering it and many thanks for all your lovely CC!

I did stuff for the first time ever to fill this ask. I also didn't even realize there was a new EP until I received this ask, so that was a fun surprise.

So first up, the Tat-a-Scribble tattoo clutter from Business & Hobbies.

It's just a sculpture, but I put it in Hobbies > Creativity because it just felt like it belonged there. All recolors are included.

Full disclosure, I have never converted a tree before, much less one that lights up, but here we are. I imagine in the future, someone more qualified/aware of what they're doing will convert this so the tree experiences seasons and everything, but that person is not me. Instead, this Luminous Leaf tree is a giant lamp that can be found in Lighting > Miscellaneous. It turns on and off like all lamps and all the recolors are included. The bark and the leaves are separate subsets, so you can mix and match the trunk and foliage to your heart's content.

And finally, the Fairly Fair Fence with Fairy Lights... sort of. I have never converted a build object before, so this was another first for me. I was amazed I was able to convert the fence at all, making it light up seemed something impossible, but I found a way to make it all work.

So the black fence (and the wire upon it) are in Build > Fences like normal. You can see the straight fence on the right and the diagonal on the left in the above image. The actual fairy lights are separate pieces (one for the straight fence and one for the diagonal) that can be found in the Buy sections Lighting > Miscellaneous. Fair warning, they do not automatically snap onto the fence. You need to use "boolprop snapobjectstogrid false" and "boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true" in order to place the lights where they belong, but that's what I could manage. They do turn on and off. Again, I imagine in the future someone who better knows how to convert a lighted fence will do so, but in the meantime, hopefully this works.

I only did the black fence since it was the only one requested, but hey... I can convert fences now, and that's pretty exciting.

Everything here is just deco, but for everything but the safe, there are a ton of recolors. The original set had a blue box as the mesh, but I preferred the black as the mesh with the blue as a recolor, so that was what I did.

Don't mind that grumpy person complaining on your post, I think that was way out of line from them. The members of the sims 2 community have been improving and building upon each other's work since the game was released. There are countless examples of CC or mods that one person initially created and others then went and tweaked it or added onto it or improved it in whatever ways. And especially with CC as old as this (where creators more often than not aren't even around anymore), I really think it's perfectly fine to tweak it. And your recolors are absolutely awesome by the way, I love them! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and all the other CC you've shared with us!

First and foremost, thank you for this message. I was really thrown for a loop by my textures/mesh updates being received in such a way and my character being maligned in such a way, both through the text of the post and in the snarky tags for it, but there has really been quite an outpouring of support and though I was initially very upset, I've decided to chalk the whole incident up to a fundamental difference in opinions and maybe a bad day. In the future, if I decide to update old sets/meshes and/or update the textures of old sets/meshes, I will do so, and if I offer them for download, I will continue to not force anyone to download them.

It feels kind of wrong to respond to an ask without offering a download, so this is for you (and everyone else, but in honor of you), anon.

Hello! A bit of a random ask, but EarlyPleasantview converted the Board Meeting skateboard wall deco from Parenthood. In TS4 pictures, I've seen an alien abduction swatch that isn't included in the conversion. The picture I saw was supposed to be CC-free, so I think the recolor may just have been missed when it was converted. Assuming I'm not completely making up this swatch (or it is actually CC), would you be willing to make a quick TS2 recolor of this swatch and any others that were missed?
