as a trans harry potter fan of course i appreciate people who are vocal allies. god knows we need them. but at the same time i don’t know how i feel about seeing cis people posting out of the blue “harry potter fans dni, i don’t trust you if you’re a harry potter fan, find a different book it’s not that hard” and the like

it’s already a hard and personal choice to engage with hp in any way if you’re trans. i find it a bit patronising in the way the above suggests the person hasn’t done their own research and balanced pros and cons and made the best decision for themselves. it also makes me think how people who say that clearly haven’t interacted with the hp fandom in a while. i’ve been here for well over a decade and i’ve never seen such a vocal saturation of diverse voices, transgender and of other minorities alike. the trans representation in headcanons, fanfiction and fanart alone skyrocketed in the recent years and it only seems to be climbing up. because now you just can’t exist in hp fandom spaces without being loudly anti jkr and a trans ally. and ironically, that’s the reason why the fandom has become a bit of a safe space for many

So, I’ve been seeing a lot of people trying to prevent book banning, but what’s funny is that a lot of people in the trans and queer communities are supporting anti-book banning campaigns while at the same time advocating for the banning and removal of the Harry Potter books from libraries, schools, and bookstores because the author is a TERF (I’m not defending Rowling or anything, I’m just calling people out). It’s gotten even worse considering that people are falsely accusing the books themselves of being transphobic as well as saying that they promote nazism (even though the series main antagonist believes in racial purity/supremacy and wants to exterminate/enslave the races he views as inferior), like come on, we know that you don’t feel comfortable around the HP franchise, but banning books and making up lies about their content makes you no better than the transphobic people who ban books like Ron DeSantis 🤦🏻‍♂️

Once again - the reason why Israel attacked Iranian embassy is because several terror organisations leaders were having a meeting there.Iran has also been threatening Israel with annihilation while funding and attacking us with their terror proxies for decades now .

On Saturday night, Iran then proceeded to launch hundreds of rockets , missiles and drones over civilians. Israel has the right to defend itself.

you guys already know how much i adore elica and you have no idea how happy i am she gained popularity recently, i just hope we all remember to stand behind Iranian people, and syrians, and lebanese and yemenis, palestinians of course, etc. we are not our governments just as much as they aren't (and/or the terror proxies in their region), and they suffer under the boot of terrorism too and for that we are brothers and sisters. i don't care who hates us, or what animosity lies between our populations on a surface or deeper level because at the end of the day i truly believe we all want peace and stability in the area much much more. leave your biases at the door when you advocate for peace
