Gotta lock in to being little, gotta lock in on making things. Writing, doing something…really just in the ‘We Exist’ mode. Regressing solo & @ all tho feels sm like studying techniques? No clue where to start & not even doing it fr…bluh. You would think it a smooth thing :p
#bug chirps#got a art to finish and maybe some scribbles to make real or re do#done on more scraps when at work..or lil writing moments to just post#did it on one of my other blogs too but sharing/scanning in journal pages#just trying to work with the Ghouls more (sorta like selfshippy junk too) and getting cozy thinking of THEM in regressor dynamics#has always made me fight or flight no clue no clue#who is reading this actually

Sorry, I don't know if this is allowed or not but, could you do some age regression with Phantom with Mountain as his caretaker? Thank you! Sorry again!
Baby's Day Out. (No CW)
CW - NONE
Characters: Phantom, Mountain, Aether
(Divider by @ wrathofrats )
Read it under the cut!
The feeling of claws pressing harmonically into his stomach while a mouth sucked on his arm was what woke Mountain up, his tail twitching with curiosity on the assailant. His eyes managed to flutter open and look down, seeing a giant tuff of black on white hair, Phantom completely blissed with his eyes closed. His hands continued to knead, head turned from the arm Mountain had around him for the suction.
When Mountain moved, Phantom's eyes opened and looked up at his mate. He let out a soft trill, removing his mouth and continuing to knead. A certain pitch of his purr let the earth ghoul know the mindset the other was in, his face going soft and pulling the regressed bat close to him.
"Well good morning to you, too." Mountain mumbled, nuzzling into his messy hair.
Phantom only trilled again, moving to sit on his knees with a giant smile. The action quickly reminded Mountain of the reason why Phantom was in his bed in the first place, encouraging him to get up and shuffle through his dresser. The young ghoul held an excited expression, expertly raising his arms as Mountain walked back over with a hoodie in his hands, covering the small frame and sliding a pair of his own boxers onto Phantom—then himself.
"There we go. Warm now?" He asked, tilting his head and watching Phantom flap the extra long sleeves before reaching upwards.
Complying, Mountain held Phantom tight in his hold and walking out the bedroom. "Moun'ty!" He started. "M' want the juice."
"Ohh, good choice."
A yawn escaped his body, Phantom mimicking and rubbing his eyes. He stayed in Mountain's hold as they moved around the kitchen with no rush, pulling out apple juice from the fridge. While Mountain stayed crouched and observed the fridge he let out a hum, settling both Phantom and the jug down.
As Mountain reached into the cabinet to pull out a bat sippy cup, he began to speak again. "Mounty has to go to the pantry today plus a few other places. Would you like to go with me or stay with Dewy in the den?" He spoke softly, making sure to stay slow with his pace.
It still took Phantom a moment to register before pointing at the earth, the quintessence giggling and taking his cup once it was diluted with water.
"Sounds like a plan. Maybe we can also get those fangs looked at, hm?"
As if on cue, Phantom bit down on the hard straw and whined as a pain went through his tooth, touching his jaw with a whine. He looked at Mountain with guidance who simply opened his jaw with care, inspecting the bottom row Phantom kept having issues with. The bat's left canine had always been smaller, but had begun growing sideways which caused pain when it'd make contact with items.
Mountain hummed as he noticed the gum inflamed than normal. "Oh yes, definitely going to get it looked at today."
"Noo..."
"Yess," Mountain chirped back, letting go of Phantom's jaw to kiss his cheek. "Gotta take care of you, buggy."
A small pout went onto Phantom's face but quietly went back to his juice. With a bit of options offered, Mountain fed Phantom his favorite chocolate pudding, unable to stop his laughter as Phantom kept trying to teethe on the spoon. With a small breakfast done, Mountain downing his much needed cup of coffee, and a change of clothes—Mountain settled Phantom's mask on his head. He whined, touching at the helmet and watching as Mountain adjusted his own. Lifted with ease, Phantom tried butting his horns against Mountain's chest, only for the helmet to clunk against his uniform.
"I know, just for a little longer, yes? You're going to be a great helper for me today." Mountain quietly reassured, the hand on Phantom's back rubbing softly. "We'll be done before you know it."
Underneath the balaclava, Phantom had his chew necklace between his teeth, watching as the halls turned from low lighting to brighter. Hidden sigils no longer, and the appearance of siblings more common. Phantom's mood quickly began to rise, bouncing in Mountain's hold as he waved excitedly at the Siblings, getting cooed at in return. He sat with purrs on Mountain's hip, his tail wagging in his pants beneath the lace. They turned to a specific room, Phantom's eyes dilating and the sudden smells.
He watched as Mountain picked up a clipboard and pen, being adjusted for his feet on the floor, now clutching Mountain's shirt tightly as he began to fill out the papers. After putting down his identification number, Mountain looked down at Phantom, tilting his head.
"Remember what to do?" Phantom shook his head. "That's okay. So we have to go look around the big shelves, and write down what we want for the den. You can pick out anything you want, yeah? But you have to help me find stuff first. Think you can do that?"
"Yes!!" Phantom squealed, now bouncing again.
Mountain lightly patted his helmet and began to walk around the catalog stands to the meats first. "Which one is pork?"
Quickly scanning, but slowly reading out loud, Phantom pointed at the third shelf. "'His one! 'His one, Mounty!"
"Good boy! What's the number?"
Phantom looked down again, his finger underneath each number. "0...2...0...3!"
"Thank you so much. Such a great helper. Let's find the steak now, yes?"
With Phantom's help, Mountain was able to write in a more organized order list, sometimes double checking the little bats work. They were on page three when Phantom gasped, pointing at the catalog for biscuits. How could Mountain say no? Finishing with seven pages, Mountain thanked the Brother who handled the orders, Phantom waving goodbye with enthusiasm. He was picked up again, patting Mountain's back to a small tune as he watched over his shoulder.
Through the day with a few snack breaks in-between they had managed to get the grocery order finished, picked up Rain's newly tailored uniform from the wardrobe assistant, the pharmacy for the Den's medication refills, and finally making their way to the infirmary. Mountain held Phantom closer as the regressed ghoul whined at the interior, tears slowly filling his eyes.
Leaning at the desk with the lead nurse, Mountain was quiet with his tone. "Good evening. I'm looking for the ghoul Aether, specifically for a kit with dentistry."
"Sure, why don't you go ahead and follow the pink line down, and I'll make sure Aether handles your chart." She smiled, bowing back after Mountain gave first.
He made his way into the pediatric section, feeling a bit awkward as human children ran around and played with their parents nearby. A few Sibling's had eyed him, Mountain just getting more possessive in the process and holding Phantom closer from the eyes. It took them a good twenty minutes, Phantom only getting fussier by the minute, before a familiar quintessence came into view.
"Hey you two!" Aether rubbed hand sanitizer on his hands, crouching down to see Phantom curled up. "I was told something's wrong with our baby bat, is that right?"
Phantom turned, chewing harder on his necklace with a whimper and nodding slowly. "M' too'f hurt..."
"His gum was inflamed again. Figured while I was caring for him, could get him seen since he's been avoiding it this entire time." Mountain added after.
"Good thinking. Come on, I'll take you back." Aether nodded, and true to his words placed them into a small examination room.
Lowering the lights, closing the blinds, and locking the door it gave the two a chance to breathe. Mountain took of Phantom's helmet first, now full of sadness as his bat's face was moist from tears. He took his own after, gently wiping Phantom's cheek.
"Oh I know, baby... But it's Aether! See?"
The elder quintessence smiled with his own mask off now, writing down a few things before unwrapping his stethoscope from his neck. "Yeah! Just us baby bug, gonna be super careful, okay?"
"Okay..." Phantom's hand reached out, grabbing the cold metal end of the equipment, Aether booping his nose with it.
"Take a biggg breath!" Phantom giggled before inhaling. "Now blow out the birthday candles!" He exhaled, whistling mid way which caused more giggles.
Moving to checking his eyes, down to Phantom's ear and watching as they flapped in response, Aether couldn't help but laugh with him. "It feels silly, doesn't it?"
"Mmhm!"
"Okay, now I need you to say 'ahh'!" Aether cooed, pulling down Phantom's balaclava.
There was a pout, Phantom looking at Mountain for reassurance. With a nod and gentle pat, Phantom complied. However, it didn't stop the tears slowly forming and little hiccups escaping. He brought his fist up to rub his eye, suddenly yanking away from Aether before he could get a look. His claws went into Mountain's shirt again, shaking his head and starting to cry a bit more.
"I know... I know it hurts and it's scary. Aether is gonna make sure it doesn't hurt anymore," Mountain whispered, petting behind Phantom's ear. "I promise it won't hurt."
"Noo, not want touch it.." Phantom cried back, curling up more and away from Aether.
The two older ghouls eyed one another before Aether got an idea. "Tommy, look at this!"
With caution Phantom turned and watched as Aether pressed his palms together, and one by one slowly began to make aura-conjured fireflies. It used to calm Dewdrop during episodes, and it quickly proved helpful as Phantom's distraction completely went to them. He sniffled, letting Mountain wipe his eyes again before Aether spoke up again.
"These buggies are here to make sure their fellow bug doesn't get hurt!" Aether explained calmly, letting a few fly around before silently commanding them closer to Phantom. "They're gonna take away all the owie and if I make you go ow, they'll beat me up!" He teased.
A giggle left Phantom again, slowly nodding. "Nice buggies?"
"Very nice buggies." Aether got close, holding a tongue press. "Ready? Say 'ahh.'"
Complying, Phantom opened his jaw, his eyes flicking from Aether to fireflies that began to dance in front of his eyes. He reached up to grab one and trilled as they started walking on his hand instead. Phantom was so distracted he didn't even feel as Aether held his jaw with magick slowly pouring in. For extra measure, Aether sent a quick numbing wave, watching carefully as the canine slowly merged back straight, and elongating just a bit to a comfortable length. Pulling his hand off Phantom's jaw to gently tap the tip and make sure it wasn't loose, Aether hummed in satisfaction before turning to Mountain.
"Luckily it was just the one, had it been others braces might've been in the question. Then we would've had to wait for big Phantom and try to convince him in. His tooth was just growing in sideways which was irritating the gum. Just to be safe, let him have ice cream and jello for a bit. Don't want anything hard disrupting the tooth." The nurse explained, slowly pulling the fireflies back in which made Phantom look at him.
His nose wiggled, smacking his lips together before reaching for Aether. Aether couldn't deny his bug, bringing him in for a tight hug and kiss on the forehead. With a bit more talking back and forth, and Phantom getting to babble about all they did today, even opening his bag that held the dens medicine.
"Mounty say m' keep big safe! N' my job make sure they stay!"
"Ohh, such a big responsibility! Doing so good baby!" Aether grabbed Phantom's mask and carefully settled it down after one last kiss, waiting for Mountain to put his own on before exciting out of the room. "I'm really proud of you, Tommy. Was such a big boy, you did absolutely amazing!"
"Thank you Aethy!" Phantom chirped, bonking their masks together.
As they stood at reception, Phantom was handed back over with a sticker on his uniform and a lollipop for later. A few goodbyes shared and Phantom was back to clinging to Mountain, purring and yawning quietly. The gentle movement of Mountain's steps crated a rocking motion, making the little one's eyes get heavier, whining for a brief moment then silence. The earth ghoul got them back to their den, being as quiet as possible while laying him on the couch, undressing him down to his under shirt and boxers, covered back up with a blanket since Mountain didn't have the heart to wake him up for pajamas. He took Phantom's bag and began to drop smaller bags at certain doors, one going with Rain's uniform on the hanger outside the door.
Moving back, Mountain smiled as Phantom had curled himself more inwards, chewing his necklace even in his sleep. His hand reached down, tucking a strand back as he continued admiring.
"Such a big day for a small one." He whispered to no one, continuing to slowly caress Phantom's cheek as he slept peacefully.
