Mystery of Love (ErrorInk)
Ink had always loved mysteries. The creators kept him on his toes, telling him they had a new au idea, but never saying what it was. Maybe it was because they themselves didn’t quite know yet. A double mystery! But sometimes, in a life revolving around the unknown and uncertain, you become a mystery yourself.
That’s what Error was starting to see. More secrets, more quiet mumbled, more time away from him. The glitch hated secrets, just as he hated people who lie. He never saw a point to it. Why would you keep things away from someone you’re supposed to love and trust? Did Ink think that his lover wouldn’t notice his sudden absence? It was aggravating, Error never even got to ask Ink about it, or else he was just jump into a pile of paint to avoid the question.
Well, today was enough of that. If he couldn’t get straight answers from Ink, the glitch would just have to follow and find out for himself.
Error made sure to close the bedroom door that night, the same bedroom both Ink and Error slept in. It always creaked whenever you opened it, no matter how silent you begged the world to be. He also made sure to leave Inks sash of paints down in the kitchen, so he’d hear the artists feet steadily walking down the steps.
Ink actually stayed the night, which was the first time in a while. Either he came home late, or he left after dinner. Not that the painter ever liked that. He would much rather be spending time with Error than going off and tiredly helping people come up with ideas for stories, but he couldn’t exactly change his purpose.
Still, Error had a feeling it was more than that. He knew that Ink still created (no matter how much he hated it), so what was this little secret about? What was there to hide?
The glitch knew the other like the back of his hand, so it was more curiosity than worry or anger. He knew Ink wasn’t with someone else, that was for sure. Ink and Error were the first people to ever meet each other. They’ve been each others rock since the beginning of the omega timeline. They’ve seen each other at the brink of their worst and on their high of their best. Yeah, Ink could be a dumbass scatterbrain, but he wasn’t necessarily stupid.
The second point that reassured Error was of his own behavior. Ink knew that if he ever went behind the others back like that, there wouldn’t even be a point in having another lover. The destroyer wouldn’t kill them, no no, mush worse. There was always room for a new puppet in his collection, after all.
And the third? Well, it was Inks own disinterest. Ink never really pictured himself being in a relationship to begin with. Sure, he’s seen fangirls bend his character into some soft schoolgirl bottom or a lust driven tease, but that wasn’t the artist. He was here for the wonders of creation, focusing more on others stories than his own. He still didn’t really know what drew him to Error to the point of romance. He didn’t have a soul, so he shouldn’t be feeling these emotions. His paints were only temporary emotions, sometimes even fake ones when the situation doesn’t affect him the way others think it would. But the right worry in his chest whenever Error got hit with an attack, the heat rushing to his skull when the glitch finally held his hand, the crave to be with him more than other characters, that was something he couldn’t ignore. And the soft touches? The kisses on the back of his neck in the morning, or the arms that snaked around his waist when he got a cup of milk in the middle of the night? It made him feel like he had a shot at happiness. Real happiness.
But now? Things weren’t that happy, especially not when Error felt the bed lift in the crack of the morning light, nor when he heard the creek of the door open up, the small thuds going down the stairs, nor the sound of clanking vials from the kitchen.
Error grabbed his slippers, the worn pink fur that was turning into a pale salmon color. Ink had always wanted to get him new ones, but the glitchs stubbornness would make him wear these until they completely fell apart into cotton and plastic.
He watched as Ink did his morning stretches, which were just to wake the artist and his body up for work. a twist around his waist, bending until he heard that satisfying pop in his spine, then sighing in relief as the pressure melted away from his body. Usually Error would try it with him. The two would laugh over a cup of coffee while seeing who could to the most bizarre pose and who could do it the longest. A lot for things turned into a little competition with Ink and Error, seeing who could outdo who. But the reward of a kiss was what they really aimed for. And maybe bragging rights, but that wasn’t as romantic.
“Again?”
Error didn’t bother to try and hide himself. The creators probably already ratted him out to Ink. That’s also why secrets were never kept around them, those little voices in their heads loved to chat away, and that was just a golden subject.
“Do you have any idea what time it is?”
“Do you?” Ink replied back, a bit of annoyance in his voice. He knew what this was about, and it was honestly bugging him how nosey Error was being. It was a mystery for the glitch! A surprise! But the artist was soon realizing that Error may not have the same mindset as he did on secrets.
“Don’t catch an attitude with me” Error bit back. “Take your paints be-”
“I already took them. You don’t have to watch over my neck. I can feel annoyance too, ya know” Ink glanced at his vials. It was the end of the month, which meant he had to go drop by his little paint fountain for a new batch. “I’m not a child”
“Then stop acting like one” Error leaned his hip against the kitchen frame. “because only children keep petty little secrets like this. Honestly? Sneaking out of bed before I wake up? You’re starting to piss me off with this”
“I didn’t want to wake you”
“don’t pull that with me, Ink. We both know you were trying to sneak”
Ink sighed. It was true, but that doesn’t mean he wanted to admit it to Errors face and deal with his reaction.
“… Fine. I’ve been working on something”
“What? An au? That’s your second lie, because you wor-”
“I never said it was an au”
Error would have snapped at Ink for interrupting him again, cutting him off mid sentence, but Inks answer sparked his interest
“It’s not?” The glitch questioned, making his way towards his lover.
“you assume a lot, you know that, Ru?”
Error managed to keep the smile that was tugging at his lips at bay. Ah, that nickname, the name they came up with for each other when people in the multiverse were separating themselves from the original Sans. They had decided to make their own special little names. Why? Who knows, just for the hell of being special.
A silence started to grow in the room, Error thinking of what to say next
“You don’t like mysteries, do ya?”
“I don’t like secrets, you know that. They’re the same thing”
Well, now that Ink thought about it, they were pretty close. Maybe Error was starting to get snappy at him because of the whole trust thing.
“You’re not going to stop until I show you, are you, Error?”
Ink sighs. He really wanted this to be a secret surprise for the glitch, but it looks like Ink was acting too suspicious to keep it.
Ink took out broomy, painting a door on the floor. There was no use in keeping this away from Error. It would make him more annoyed than happy, and this was supposed to be a happy thing.
Error didn’t hesitate to open it, lowering himself by his strings to look around, though the location surprised him.
“What are you doing in Life’s garden? Are you even supposed to be here?”
Error stepped into the grass, feeling his slippers crunch against a brown leaf on the floor. It was autumn right now, making the plants have a warm color scheme to them. Some pumpkins were sprouting where the food was, along with corn and squash. But there was one thing that caught Errors eye, something that didn’t belong.
Two blankets leaning up against the tree of hope. One was a bright pink color, the other an aqua green.
Error made his way towards them, looking closer. There was a faint glow from inside, two save points as souls, though they were still forming. A picture was taped onto each blanket, a detailed drawing of what they were supposed to look like. Both dark boned skeletons, one with paint coming off of his body and the other with buzzing glitches. One with a pencil and a notebook, the other with a drawing tablet and pen. One messy, one shy.
Suddenly, realization hit Error
“… It’s us” he mumbled softly, looking at their features. A glitch and an artist, an introvert and an extrovert, bold and outgoing along with peaceful and shy
“… Do you like them?”
Ink asked, playing with his fingers nervously. “I thought it was finally time.” He didn’t know how Error felt about making life from his own character, and the blank look on the others face made Ink nervous.
“When will they be ready?”
Error immediately asked. Before Ink could open his mouth, he was gushed with questions.
“What age will they be when they come out? Babies? Full grown? Will they grow up? What magic will they have? Will they know us? What would they think of us? Do we need to baby proof the house? Do we need rooms? What do they like? Should we give them different ones? How will they react to each other?”
“Ru-”
“oh, god, I have to tell Nightmare and the gang! I’m going to be a dad! My own family!” Errors eyes buzzed from excitement. In all honesty, he’s always dreamed of this. No more being lonely in the antivoid, watching bitterly as others got their own warm welcome home or spent the holidays together, making memories and starting-
“SCRAPBOOKS! We need to make a scrapbook! For each of them! We’ll keep the memories!”
Ink couldn’t help but to crack a smile as he listened to the others rant. They would finally settle down, relax in each others arms. New life! New story! New possibilities!
And a new chapter in Ink and Errors lives.

Okay, so, had a bit of a long day, here's a couple of scenes I thought of of "Garde" and Error xD
_=_
Ink: *working at the Core*
Error: *squints down at it*... *starts knocking stuff off the bridge into it*
Ink: What are you doing?
Error: wondering how the fUck this leads to the void.
Ink: If it were that easy-
*a ball Error dropped smacks him in the face and briefly Gaster's face could be seen*
Error:...
Ink:...
Error: I FUCKING KNEW IT! GET YOUR ASS OUT OF THERE OLD MAN!
_-_
Error: *comes to the house* Hey, do you-...
Ink: *leaned over Papyrus with a sharpie in his hand, Papyrus' skull decorated like a day of the dead skull*...
Error:... *takes a picture and rUNS* Evidence!
Ink: Get back here! *chases after him*
_-_
Error: *writing some stuff down in Waterfall under an umbrella*
Ink: *ports beside him and sits down*... Genocide run.
Error: Hmm. Already got him?
Ink: Yeah...
Error: You know you'll have to face them at the Hall.
Ink: Just relaxing a bit. It'll take a few tries for them to get past Undyne anyway.
Error: True.
___
Last one is kinda sad but still, Ink still needs time to take in that he is the Judge now and not just a spectator of the AUs. Error is just an assistant here and won't help Ink do his job as Judge.

InkError
1. Error tried to lie and keep him and Ink a secret from his brothers. Yet, he was so obvious that they both knew instantly.
2. Ink made Error a plushie of himself, so on days where Error’s haphephobia was bad, he had the plushie to hold.

(following Ink)
Ink woke up being cradled by someone. What happened before he passed out? Oh yeah… Ink almost gagged at the idea of the white, empty loneliness… He felt soft, warm clothing beside his face as well as the pounding of a soul. Wait, do souls pound normally? He quickly moved to look around him. His eye-sockets widened at the empty space around him and he let out a small, terrified gasp. He shook violently and gasped for air, trying to look away but unable to move.
He felt something stir beside him. “Ink?” The glitched voice of Error sounded
“S-so… much… s-space…” Ink quickly buried his face in Errors jacket, wrapping his arms around him without thinking. Error let out a strangled yelp, but Ink didn’t move at all.
“Ink, get off. The hell’s even wrong with you?” Error quickly attempted to push Ink off him, refusing to use his bare hands to touch Ink. Ink whined, but his attention was quickly dragged to Errors strings to quit looking at the empty… dead… lifeless… s o u l l e s s Anti-Void.Ink tried and failed miserably to steady his breathing. Error noticed and snapped his fingers to get Inks attention “Squid, what’s wrong?” Error seemed to be concerned.
“E-Error… it’s too… e-… e-….” Ink nearly passed out from looking up. “T-too… E-E m p t y…” Ink finally choked out, feeling dazed just from the word. He nearly collapsed, but Error grabbed him and pushed him back up. He quickly flinched away from touching him, but he was still obviously concerned.
“Do I need to get Dream?” Error asked softly. Ink nodded, his thoughts racing. Error opened a portal, and Ink tried to grab him but he was too late. Error had already jumped in. Ink fell onto the strings and curled in on himself.
He’s not coming back for you, ya’know. You’re gonna be here forever for leaving your ‘friends’ behind. You’re not worth it for anyone to be worried, let alone someone as important to the multiverse as Error. There they are. The thoughts of being alone forever. Only this time, he had n o o n e. No-one would help someone like him. In fact, he should’ve just killed himself when he was stuck alone in Inktale. His breath became shaky, and any noise around him, besides the voices, was silenced.

(following Error)
Error rushed to where he felt most positivity. He saw Cross and Dream talking. “Eh? Oh, hey glitch man!” Cross teased, raising his arm to say hi.
“Not right now crossant, I need your boyfriend” Error replied almost instantly. Both Dreams and Cross’ faces flushed with embarrassment, but before either could say anything, Error tied Dream up and dragged him to where Ink was.
“Ink?!” Dream quickly rushed to the shaking body of the artist. “What happened to him Error?!” Error shook his head as a way of saying ‘no clue’, and he sat a lot closer to Ink than Dream. Ink opened his eyes slightly, and grabbed onto Error, clearly craving any affection or validation possible out of the larger. Error glitched really bad and held his breath, waiting for Ink to let go. When he didn’t he let out his breath and hesitantly hugged the smaller back.

First Person P.O.V (Following Ink)
I couldn’t remember when or why I blacked out, just that I was holding someone and crying. When I was able to see again, I was laying against Errors chest. My whole body was shaking and I felt tired, but warm… Was Error making me feel like this? Either way, I needed to get off him. He would probably yell at me for being so close… Of course he would, you’re not good enough for him. You don’t deserve to even be this close to him in the first place. Just get off and leave forever, no one will even notice a difference. I drew in a shaky breath, and hugged Error tighter, hoping for some kind of- no, ANY kind of- feeling of serenity. He groaned softly and I almost pulled away, but I needed the touch to not break down.
“Ink? Why are you shaking again?” Error asked softly, placing a hand on my back, although he glitched slightly at the feeling of touching me. “Are you okay Squid?” He asked again. I shook my head slowly and let out a soft whine.
“Th-the v-voices…” I stuttered out softly, shaking at the idea that they were right. Of course we are. We’ve never been wrong before. You’re just denying the truth like a stubborn little brat. I felt Error shift to get me off and I immediately moved as far away as possible without feeling overexerted and curled in on myself. My breathing was unsteady and I felt terrible all of a sudden. Error looked at me confusedly.
“Ink? Stop moving away, you’ve already passed out 5 times today.” Five times?! How have the voices been getting to you so much Inky?! I heard one of the only good voices left yell in terror. I tried to steady my breath and muttered about the voices again, though I quit moving like Error told me to. “Ink stay still, let me do something.” Error moved up close to me. I almost shrank away, but I listened and stayed still. Error placed something on my arm and it took me a moment to process it. The hell..? Why’d he..? The most reasonable voice I had was just as confused as I was as to why he put a small white patch on my arm, but the longer I looked at it the more apparent it was that it was an empty space, not just a white piece of paper. I held my breath and looked away, shaking a little. “Just like I thought… Damn, todays been a hell of a trainwreck just to find out you have Kenophobia.” Error removed the piece of paper as he spoke, sighing softly at the word ‘Kenophobia’.
“W-w-what’s-” I stuttered, looked at Error in confusion
“Kenophobia, the fear of empty spaces. I probably should’ve guessed because you passed out the second you saw how empty the anti-void was.” Error answered simply, wiping away tears I didn’t notice forming in my eyes(ockets) with his sleeve so he didn’t touch me.
