Bålar's fantastic voyages - 1 - The Hermit's Island

After the disaster on Mr. Volkan’s island (yes his raft was hit and sunk to the bottom of the sea), Bålar paddled with all he could rescue to an island nearby. There he saw the friendly face of The Hermit, who welcomed him on his self constructed island.

Bålar's fantastic voyages - 1 - Mr. Volkan's island

There is always a risk to visit Mr. Volkan’s island, not in the least because he is an living and active volcano. There is also a strange Maya like temple on the island that seems inhabited. Even the resident parrots come to warn approaching visitors of imminent danger. No wonder that Bålar found no transportation and had to build his own raft to get there. He is still not sure if he will go…

Bålar’s fantastic voyages – 1 – The Map

Bålar’s journey began with the discovery of The Map in the ancient library of Alexandria.The scholars weren’t too keen on giving him the map, but since it was already badly damaged, he was allowed to make a copy of it. Here you can see him on an old and damaged engraving that was recently discovered in the ruins of the library. (You couldn’t take selfies back then)
