SM Entertainment was not an unaccustomed place for Jongin to visit, in light of the continual business negotiations that big companies often initiated, to become - well...bigger. He held little to no affliction for the sordid affairs of these industrialists, although it was amusing for him to tag along once in a while to arrogantly display his incompetence in business matters. He was engineered to race after all, not to plant criticism under the guise of politics. That being said, once upon a time, Jongin had actually possessed the dream of becoming a dancer for the entertainment company, although it clearly did not work out in the end...shame, but inevitable nonetheless.
Entertaining himself with the remembrance of his childhood fantasies, he approached one of the practice rooms at the end of the lightened corridor, half bored to death and half drunk on an insurgent mindset. It was occupied though, was the realisation when he reached the door.
There was a girl in there - clearly one of their idols from the looks of it, geared in a practice outfit with her hair pulled into a ponytail. She looked concentrated, a script in her hands, and Jongin had half the mind to leave her be. It was only the fact that he found the sight oddly charming that persuaded him to stay, eyes roaming the expanse of the room and finally settling back onto the female once more.

Whilst ordinary people undertook banal activities such as rock climbing, organising picnics and camping tricks to fulfil their recreational needs, what Jongin did instead was depart on lengthy and desultory expeditions in his cars - considering he had no family of his own and his friends were against the dull propositions of Seoul's citizens, it was a more effective way to pass time, for himself at least. The route he most frequented was avoided by many; a crusted road meandering around the foot of a cliff, and which rewarded you at the end, with a small stretch of sand and water - one of the few beaches that the country offered. Theoretically, he enjoyed the ride, not the waterfront that the journey ended with, although he convinced himself that it was worth it to romanticise things a little bit.
The ocean line was stunning that Sunday, the weather as favourable as the last time he had visited, which was almost a full two months in the passing. Rolling up the hems of his pants and slipping his watch into his pocket, Jongin roamed the coast with serene steps, occasionally tilting his head back to view the heavens with deep intakes of breath. After walking for a while, he looked towards his right on impulse, a sight of two huddled figures catching his attention. Strange. He usually had the beach to himself, and assumed that no one knew of the place apart from the few locals that resided in the small sets of hills behind the cove. Although it was slightly disarming to see the strangers upon the sand, he was also curious as to what their purpose was there. Was it just for 'recreational' purposes, like himself?
Nonetheless, his scrutinised gaze was unwavering upon them, analysing carefully the little details. Unaware of his own intense stare, his head wavered to the side, waiting for them to do something - anything, for an indication.

❝ If you don't think, then you shouldn't talk. ❞
They were mere strangers, but an ill placed, inadvertent comment on his behalf had already generated a discord between them, an unfortunate beginning for the harrowing length of time that was to come.
She did not look angered, vexed, nor incredulous like he had expected, but her words suggested otherwise. Instead, a dim sort of disappointment dusted over her features, and he felt his heart weigh down tediously at the sight. Though regret coursed through his veins and arteries, his pride remained nonpareil as always, causing the induction of an apology to rise and fall from the tip of his tongue as briskly as it had come.
"That's not what I meant," He rumbled after a few moments of silence. The half-assed justification was cliché, overrated and over used to a point where it had lost all factual meaning. "I didn't mean to call you that..."
Shifting his gaze away with a swallow, Jongin rose to his full height, commanding the girl with his velveteen voice once more. "Just...just continue with the tour, alright? Show me the lecture hall."

`she blinks, looking around; I think I'm lost
"Indeed, you look lost," Jongin commented unhelpfully, snapping out of his abyssal reverie to give the female a subtle once over. Sliding his phone into his pocket, he locked their eyes into an even stance, words a soft lilt. "Though if you tell me what you're looking for, I may be able to guide you."
