I may be wrong,but I think that traditions that include killing, abusing or limiting another creature's freedom should be banned in the 21st century. I understand why that kind of tradition existed in the past. Back then having food every day for a family was very difficult and it was considered as a privilege(tradition of killing some animals were also used for medical purposes). But why do we need to keep it even now? We have food everywhere, we have medicines etc. Of course, we should keep some tradition for our culture but we should adapt tradition to our lives, to the new times and not vice versa(adapting ourselves and  nature to the tradition).
