It’s FINISHED and I officially want to wear it every day as my personal uniform! 🧵 Incase you haven’t been following - this is a dress I dreamt up a while ago and had to put into reality. I designed this fabric with gouache on paper and then printed it at @contradouk . I made two test sewing patterns to get the fit right, altering it slightly each time, especially on the shoulders which I often struggle with fitting. I now want to make a million more in every fabric I can think of. I have three others already waiting in my sewing pile... 🧵 You may notice that I’m doing a whole load of non-animation things at the moment. There have been some suggestions that I should just pick one thing, which I find interesting... If exploring your creativity through different mediums is what makes you want to get up in the morning, then do that! Debra describes her hopes and fears about raising a black son in Chicago - Perhaps Debra's is a perspective you haven't considered before? Perhaps her fear is one you live with every day?
