lol why is there always some crazy drama happening on djotwt? I know there was a discussion on here recently about the fandom and people feeling left out or whatever, but tbh I think it's better to not be involved esp. on twitter. everybody talks shit about K*lly but some other people in the fandom are equally awful, just without the weird relationship with Nick.

I don’t know how you even get in at this point. I’ve seen so many tweets from people being like “hey I’m going to this show and would like some more mutuals!” And it’s a ghost town in the comments, even though I know so many people are going to that show. <- this for real.

I'm going to a concert next month and I will be going on my own across the country so I thought I can try to find peeps online to talk to/meet up with and it's just... nothing? Like I tried twt and here on tumblr and I can see everyone in the "circles" interacting but not letting me in but at this point I'm not sure if I want to 😐 WHERE ARE THE OUTSIDERS? lets make our own group chat lol

I did something similar. I am going with IRLs who are not fans to a show because I knew nobody would reply to me if I asked if anyone was going. I’m sure people on here would want to meet up, but my Twitter is not a djo/joe dedicated twitter, so I would get ignored. And I just don’t get it! Everyone’s so nice in person but it’s very different online.

I think Joe has gotten so big his shows not only attract his fans but ST fans. So the cast just going to his show doesn't seem as safe anymore. So I think if the cast wants to see him or support they will probs go somewhere more low key than the states. I know Finn is from Canada but its def more low key than him going to a NY show

I have definitely noticed and felt how cliquey the fandom is and it can be very frustrating when you're trying to interact with people and they just outright ignore you.

I'm not saying I or anyone is owed an interaction, of course not, but when someone asks a question and you answer it, and they ignore your response and respond to someone else in their "circle" it can be a bit disappointing.

I will go as far as to say that the Djo fandom (especially on Twitter) is one of the nastiest fandoms that I've been in. Not just for cliquey behaviour (this could just be an oversight on their part and not deliberate) but I've noticed that these cliques have a tendency to dogpile on anyone who shares a dissenting view.

Like I saw one person tweet something that went against the grain (and it wasn't even controversial, just a meh opinion) and so many people pounced on them. And that isn't the one and only time I've seen it happen-and it's always the same people.

It makes it quite an uncomfortable place to share opinions because you're scared that the same thing will happen to you if they take it wrong or just purely disagree with you.

It can be a nice place-and there are a lot of nice, kind people within the fandom-it's just this kind of behaviour needs to stop. Some people do act like they own and run the fandom (especially on Twitter).

I think Twitter fandoms in general are cliquey but this one seemed OK at first and the deeper I dive I’m like whoa wtf is happening in here. Surface level it’s great, the deeper you go the more isolating it is.

has anyone else noticed how cliquey the jk/djo fandom is? I constantly am seeing people trying to interact with others who are completely ignored or just hidden in the masses. Why is that? Why is this particular fandom like this?

and this isn’t me saying anyone is mean! Nobody appears to be mean or judgmental. It’s just like nobody wants anyone else to join in on the fun.
