Important Announcement
I’ve been rping for nearly a year and a half now, and for the most part I have enjoyed it a lot, but I’ve finally come to the place where I can admit it’s time for me to say goodbye. I feel like I’ve been growing away from it for a long time - no ambition to actually get replies done, taking longer and longer and more often hiatuses, etc… I’ve been hanging on because I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by dropping theads, but I think it’s the right thing for me to do now. So, that’s what I’m doing. I’m going to be dropping nearly all of my threads across all of my accounts (here at icandrawamoth, joelleisnotperfect, happyxhypochondriac, sweetheartjehan, and theblacktohisred). If you don’t hear from me by the end of today, that’s it, I’m sorry. I hope no one takes this personally, as I said I have loved rping with all of you, but not now as much as I used to, so I’m going to move on to other things. I’ll be renovating this blog as a personal, so I’m certainly not leaving the Les Mis fandom or Tumblr at all, and I hope at least some of you will stick around. Lots of love <3

"Stop shouting at me!" Joelle barked, flinging herself to her feet and moving to the other side of the room before whirling to face him with arms folded. "I'm worried about you physically, Enjolras! What if you get yourself hurt or killed at one of these things, what is that going to do?"
Inmates
"You don’t need to call me babe in that condescending tone of voice,” Joelle snapped, jumping to her feet. “I’m just worried about you, Enj, don’t be an asshole. Do you think I would have been there if I didn’t care? I know what it can be like, obviously, I’m here aren’t I?”

"I'm sorry," Joelle whispered again. "Um, should we get the others? Or come back for them later?" She bit her lip. "I'm sorry I ruined the night for you. I didn't mean to."
"It is fine it was my fault." she said. "I understand you don’t want what happened to him to happen to you. I get it Joelle." she said. "Now can we go please? I don’t feel like being out anymore."

The Purge AU || open
Joelle had never participated in the Purge before. For the last seventeen years, she had stayed in the well-reinforced bunker her parents’ fortune was able to make of their house every March 21st. This year, though, was different. It hadn’t been a great one. She’d been rejected from all three of her top college choices, her boyfriend had broken up with her because she was unwilling to put out, and she’d lost her job because she wasn’t “personable” enough, among other things. She had a lot of frustration to take out. Not that she planned on killing anyone – that really wasn’t in her personality, but there were plenty of other lesser crimes she could participate in tonight that would more than purge all her negative emotions.
Her parents and brother had gone out of town for the weekend, leaving her with strict instructions to lock down the house well before seven o’clock and not go anywhere before the Purge was over. Instead, she stood in the living room watching the news count down to the start, her father’s revolver, which he had left her for emergencies only, clutched in her hand. She planned to use it solely to defend herself and prayed she wouldn’t have to. The timer finished, and the emergency broadcast message came on. “Commencing at the siren, any and all crime, including murder, will be legal for twelve continuous hours. Police, fire, and emergency medical services will be unavailable until tomorrow morning until seven a.m., when the Purge concludes.” Outside, she could hear the sirens rising, loud and long and eerie.
She took a deep breath and slipped out the door, arming the security system behind her. It wouldn’t do to come home to a ransacked house. Checking once more that the gun was loaded, she slipping out into the dark, her black hoodie and dark jeans helping hide her, and headed down the street for the mall. There were a few things she wanted to pick up, knowing that today she wouldn’t have to pay for them.

"I know you would not have sweetie." he said smiling at her. "Yes it is worth putting up a fuss and if you don’t get that by now babe you can quit coming to the rallies." he snapped.

Joelle squeezed his hand back, rolling her eyes. "That's not fair of them. Way to totally ignore my own initiative. It's not like I don't care about your cause. I wouldn't have been there if I didn't." She sighed. "Well, that's good. I know how you're going to respond, but I have to ask, is it really worth putting up so much of a fuss that you get physically injured, especially if this is something you're used to?"
Inmates
"It is fine sweetie." he said going over and holding her hand. "I know but they will say we are corrupting you blah blah blah." He looked at her and nodded. "I am fine just bruises and a few scrapes nothing new."

Joelle groaned, dropping onto the bench and pressing her face into her hands. "I know, I'm sorry. Ugh." She looked at him from between her fingers. "Sure they'll probably blame you guys more, but that's not okay. I mean, I chose to be there, despite how much I may regret it now." She sighed loudly and dropped her hands. "Anyway, we're here are. Are you okay? Those guys were exactly being gentle when they brought us in."
Inmates
"Hey I didn’t expect this either Joelle." he said looking at her. "I am sorry it ended this way." he said. He rolled his eyes as she paced across the cell and ranted at him. He knew her well enough to just let her go on. "Sweetie your parents will blame it all on Jehan and myself you know that."

As soon as they had been dressed in their uniforms and shoved unceremoniously into a cell, Joelle whirled to face Enjolras, looking anything but impressed. "This wasn't exactly what I was expecting when you and Jehan and Marius convinced me to come your protest," she fired at him before starting to pace back and forced across the cell agitatedly. "How am I going to explain this to my parents? And it'll be on my record. An Ivy League college is not going to want me with a history of arrest!"
