Final Diary - Evaluation, Street Photography.
Process: The requirements of the brief were that i had too choose one of the previous assignments and go through a more thorough process of ideas development using existing photographers for inspiration. I would say that i did adhere too them because i used artists for inspiration and i planned different places too go than last time from the photographers that i researched. The sources of inspiration that i used were two street photographers. These images that i found helped me for inspiration and i took some of those techniques into my work when i went out and shot. The planning that i undertook too improve this task was that i analysed 3 different photographers work that i found for inspiration in detail. From those images i started too think about different places and different times of day that i could shoot. I also thought about and wrote down the different camera techniques that i could use such as changing the shutter speed and the aperture especially when i wanted too shoot in the dark or the low light. I also thought about the types of equipment that i might of needed if i were too change the shutter speed such as a tripod too stable the camera when going too low shutter speeds. The things that i had too take into account when shooting was the low light when taking the night shots and the type of shutter speed that i was using and making sure the image wasn't too under or over exposed but making sure the people in the shot were still visible. When shooting in the day it was raining and the light wasn't very good so i had too change the aperture without changing the shutter speed too much because i wanted a lot of the image in focus. After shooting i edited the final images in Photoshop. The techniques i used for image 1 were the Brightness and contrast tool. This was because The image was slightly over exposed so i had too adjust the brightness of the image too improve it.  I also used the saturation tool too add some extra colour into the image because as it was raining the image was quite dull, so adding the saturation made the image more striking. The techniques i used in image 2 were the curves tool too make the image brighter and again the brightness tool too make the image brighter again. The techniques i used for image 3 was saturation too highlight the colour in the image because i thought that the image was light enough and didn't need any lightness added too it. The techniques i used in image 4 was brightness and contrast because i thought that the image was slightly underexposed even though it was night anyway. I also used saturation again too highlight the colour a bit more because i thought the image was slightly too orange.
Analysis: My images are about the contrast between the nightlife in a city compared too life in the day and the difference in the types of people that a city sees in the day and in the night.  The way i communicated the theme was i shot lone people at night sitting down or alone too show how quiet a city is at night and i shot crowds of people in the day too show how busy a city is in the day. I would say that the images do go together in a way because they are showing the change that a city undertakes from day too night.
In image 1 i there is a group of people standing together next too a road crossing but they aren’t crossing the road. Behind them are many people walking cross the road at the crossing, many with umbrellas and a mix of young and old people. They look like they are rushing too get cross the road too the nearby shopping center because it is raining. There is about 4 people standing in a group that look like they are talking together. It does look quite unusual because there is two people that look quite serious and older from behind and what they are wearing but the other two look younger because of the tracksuit and the clothes. If this is the case then that isn't something you see everyday and shows how it doesn't matter that age you are people will still socialise with you.
Image 2 is also of a selection of people waiting at a crossing whilst waiting for a bus too go by before proceeding too cross. many people have umbrellas because it is raining. Some of the people at the front of the crossing may be in a rush because they are looking too see if the traffic is clear, instead of just waiting till the green man is coming on. This is a good example of how not many people have patience and everyone seems too be in a rush and has no time for anyone and no time too relax and take there time. Another reason that they might be in a rush is because some of them might be late for work because one of the men has a black bag that isn't a rucksack which generally suggests they are going too work.
Image 3 is of a lone man sitting down at night. There is no one else around the man. The man itself is quite hidden and dark compared too the rest of the image which might suggest some mystery and could suggest that he might be a bad person because of the connotations of the word dark. This image would have been taken by a slow shutter speed because the image is still quite light despite it being nighttime. The man loos too be asleep and he doesn't look very happy. This might suggest that maybe he has had a bad day and has just decided too relax at night in the city before going home. i wouldn't say the man looks homeless because his clothes from the image looks relatively normal for a average man.
Image 4 is of a woman on her own on her phone with a Primark bag by her side. there is also many people sitting and standing in the background. Some are in couples and there is one person on there own. This image was probably taken with a slower aperture and a slight zoom because the image is still quite bright even though it is night and there is a slight shallow depth of field. Because the woman has the Primark bag it could suggest that she has been in town all day because shops would be closed at night, and could be ringing someone too pick her up or get a taxi because there isn't a bus too where she wants too go a that time of night.
Performance Evaluation: I would say that i am quite satisfied with my final piece. This is because the images did come out quite well and there was very little technical mistakes. Also i am quite happy with the narrative of the set of images that i produced and i enjoyed shooting at different times of day too get different types of shots that i wouldn't normally get. I would say that one strength of this task would be getting the correct exposure during the nighttime shoots. Also not making the image too blurry when using the zoom on my camera. This was a strength because when i last did the task i didn't get a good exposure on many of the images and some of the images where blurry because i didn't use a tripod and this time i did use one. However i would say one weakness of the task is that i still didn’t get the correct exposure when shooting in the day. I also only shot in the rain so maybe if i were too do the task again i would shoot in different weather conditions too further show the difference in types of people during night and day. Also if i was too do this task again i would take more time looking at the exposure of the image and retaking them too get the perfect shots. Another thing i may do differently if i were too do the task again is when shooting at night i wouldn't just shoot one person and what they are doing i would shoot a street scene which would highlight more about what the nightlife would be like in a city.

Assignment 1 - Final outcome
The assignment that i’m going too improve on the street photography assignment. This was because i thought that i didn’t get enough shots that related enough too street photography. One thing that i didn’t think went so well and i think that i need too be improved is getting the right depth of field of a image when getting a picture of one single person. Also another thing that i would improve is maybe use a tripod too reduce the risk of part of the image getting blurred when i zoom in on a particular part of the image too get a good depth of field. One camera technique i could use too better the outcome of the images could be too use a faster exposure too focus more on the subject and make the finer details stand out. I also want my images too have more of a narrative and more than just a photo of a person sitting down, maybe look around more and predict pictures that have more of a meaning. Also i would like too do some street photography images in colour and black and white rather than just black and white like last time i did the task. If i was shooting at night i would have too alter the Shutter speed and Aperture, which would mean using a tripod too reduce the image being blurry and underexposed.
Planning: When i go out and shoot i am thinking of going out too shoot in the city center but also in a local town center too show what the differences are from a city center and a town center and the types of people that are in those areas. I would also say that the time of day i would like too shoot would be the day time like i did in the last task, but i would also like too shoot maybe in the city center at at night like the photographer Zack Arias too show the life in a city from a different perspective. The potential problems of shooting in the dark  would be the images being too dark and the people that you are trying too photograph being too dark, this might mean adjusting the ISO and shutter speed too make the image as light as possible. In the day a possible problem might be the amount of people that could get in the shot, a way too stop this could be too be patient and predict a shot before people walk in front of the shot.
Images for inspiration
Image 1 - Zack Arias
This image is good for inspiration because i would like too take some images of street photography at the night, so it is good help me about the type of light that could be got out of the image if it shot people in the dark or low light. Also the image was taken in colour which i would like too do because i didn't in the original task. In the image itself i can see a Korean woman holding a hello kitty toy and dressed as the toy as well. Also she is surrounded by 2 police officers possible talking too her about why she is wearing the costume. There is also crowds of people in the background and looks like it is in a city or in some sort of downtown because of all the people and the lights in the background. There is a boy that is staring at the woman. He could be staring at the woman because she stands out in the city and not everyone is dressed like that. She also stands out because it looks like shes the only Korean woman in the image. I would say that this image could've been taken in the USA because of the type of police that are in the image.  This image could also be effective because it shows the contrast between cultures in the country.
Image 2 - Alexander Richter
This image is good for inspiration because it has been taken in the day and in black and white because that is what i also want too do, too show the contrast between nightlife and in the day. In the image itself there is what looks like too be a homeless man that is wrapped up in many clothes walking through a city or a town. The clothes look dirty and way too big for him and his walking stick only looks like a pole of some kind that he must've just found on the street. The image is quite emotional, because the man looks in quite a sorry state and doesn't look very happy at all. It makes you feel sorry for the man because he looks so bad. The man looks like he is sleeping standing up, which could suggest that he hasn't had much too sleep because maybe he has been finding shelter or food.
Image 3 - Sha Ribeiro
This image is good for inspiration because again it is black and white because that is one way i want too shoot in the day. But it is also good because i think this photo was taken in the dark and it is still black and white, which is good because it is another way too take some night photography. In the image itself i can see a lone woman sitting on a doorstep clearly upset because she has her head in her hands. The floor looks quite dirty and the area that shes sitting in could possible be a alley way. The reasons that the woman could be upset could be because she has broke up with her boyfriend and shes just left his house and before she left she cried and couldn't walk anymore because she was so upset. Another reason that she could upset could be because she is depressed and is having a really bad night mentally so just needed too leave the house so her parents didn't see her like it. overall the image is quite a sad and dull one that is quite emotional because of the sadness in the image and the black and white effect.

Face swap task:
The faces that i merged together for the face swap were Teresa may and Jeremy Corbyn. The steps that i took too do this face swap were firstly i had too get two images of Teresa may and Jeremy Corbyn. The way i got these two images were that i went into tools, and large. This was so they would both fit onto each others face when onto Photoshop. The factors i took into account when choosing the two images were that they had too have a similar skin tone, a similar resolution, the position of the head and the tones of the hair.
Then too put the images into Photoshop after choosing i had too view image, copy, open a new Photoshop document. Then go too file, new (Crtl, N) and create (Ctrl V). I did that twice for both of the images and pasted them into two different pages. Then i used the pen tool (Ctrl P) too cut around one of the faces. Then i pressed make selection, made the feather radius 50 and then used the move tool (V) too move onto the other tab where the other persons face will be. Then i pressed Ctrl T or the transform tool. I then pressed shift too resize the face. Then i went onto Layers too move the opacity down and pressed enter. I then pressed the Japanese flag and added a layer mask. The selected pain brush tool too refine the edges of the face too blend in. After that i saved as and saved as a jpeg.

Diffused flash for portraiture
The techniques i used for different types of diffused flash are putting a white tea bag holder over the flash. i then took the picture with the flash with the tea bag holder and without the tea bag holder. The results of using it was that it was darker with the  tea bag holder and lighter without the diffuser. Another diffuser that i used when taking portraits was a white paper cup. I put the cup over the flash when taking the shot. I took two shots, one with the cup and one without the cup. The results of this technique was again that the cup made the image darker and when i took the shot without the cup it made the image brighter again. One final way that i decided too experiment with was with a brown leaf. i took a photo with the leaf on the flash and a picture without a leaf on the flash. The results  of using a leaf over the flash was that it gave a orange tint in the image. I think that the best diffuser of the three was the tea bag holder because it makes the image less overexposed in a dark place which would be good for photo shoots if the light is very bright when you are shooting.

Assignment - Time slowed down
To do this task i had too set my camera too manual settings and change the shutter speed too a very low setting such as 1/5 seconds. Because of the light that would let into the lens i also had too adjust the Aperture too a smaller one such as f/22. I also had too change the aperture too the highest which was 100. I also had too put my camera on a tripod, otherwise it could make the image very blurry. I also had too use the light meter on the camera too get some balanced exposures that aren’t too dark or light. I had too shoot in RAW. This was because it would be easier too edit once back into the classroom. I was shooting moving objects with still things in the background or the foreground, such as trams, buses and people. I chose too shoot these because i wanted too show the contrast between moving and static objects. I think that one thing that went well whist doing this task was being patient. This was because i had too wait for a still tram and a moving object too be together, but also too get the timings correct. I also think that another thing that went well would be editing the photos too make the image have a better exposure when the image might have been too dark. However one thing that didn't go so well would be getting the exposure correct whilst in a pressurized situation. this could have been because i have been rushed and didn’t have too much time too adjust all the settings when i saw a shot coming and had too get that shot for it too be perfect, but i could edit in Photoshop. For example image 2 was quite overexposed in the original image but i edited it for Photoshop and changed the exposure and saturation and it looked okay. So, to improve for next time i would have too practice changing the settings quicker, but also maybe don’t put myself in so much pressure and change the settings before the shot comes.

Assignment - What is it?
To do this task i went too look around at different objects around the city and tried too zoom in at some objects too try and make them obscured so that someone might not know what the object was. Do do this i did some different techniques. One technique was a zoom burst. The reason that i did a zoom burst for example in image 4. I did this by using a slow shutter speed and zooming in at the object at the same time. This was too try and blur part of the image but keep part of the middle in focus, but too try and get the image obscured a the same time. I also used a slower shutter speed in image 1, which would get a silhouette effect, making the image darker, which would again obscure the image slightly. I would say the things that went well whilst doing the task would be zooming in on different objects too get a obscure image. But i also think that i did well about being aware of the things and objects around me because some of the images were just small things on the floor that some people may not be able too see. However i think that one thing that didn't go so well would be trying the zoom bursts. I think the reason would be because i don’t think i got the correct ISO on the camera. I think the way too improve doing the zoom bursts would be just too keep practicing with the zoom technique and also just keep taking the photo until i got the right exposure and ISO. Another thing too maybe improve for next time could be getting more shallow depths of field in a photo too may get a closer image. Also another thing that didn't go so well would be getting closer too a object. This was because i couldn't get too close too a object without the camera not letting my take the image. This was because i didn't have a macro lens too take the photo, so if i was too do it next time would use a macro lens too take some close up shots.

Assignment - Abstract modern landscape and Consumerism.
Too do this task i wanted too take photos of modern glass buildings that look abstract but i also wanted too catch the theme of consumerism and the shopping side too the city. Too take this photo i use a range of techniques such as a slow shutter speed too show the transition of people and shoppers walking across the road, for example in image 4. i also used a shallower depth of field in image 3 too highlight the traffic lights which is a main feature throughout a city. I wanted too shoot in these ways too highlight the features in a city and the link between abstract modern buildings and consumerism with shoppers and the shops within the city. I would say that the things that went well in this task was getting abstract shots of new, modern buildings and getting the right position of multiple buildings together. also i think that i anticipated images well because i kept waiting for certain people too walk across the road and certain colour too appear too make a good image. However what didn't go so well was getting some consumerism side of the assignment through my images because i couldn't think of many places that would link too consumerism. Too improve this i could look more around the area too try too see more different people and the shopping side too the city.

2. Patience, If the model is not getting the pose correct you need too be polite and try too get them too do the right subject.
3. Technical knowledge, Important too get the right light and too get the right framing. not just too get the head and shoulders. Also too get the right background.
4. Being friendly, so that the photographer becomes comfortable with the photographer.
5. Using props, too tell a story and too create a narrative in the image.
6. Using a mood board which would help on the day too get different poses.

Assignment - Man v Nature
Too do this task i tried too go too some old and abandoned buildings. This was because those buildings have mostly been taken over by the nature and plants. In some shots i chose too shoot in a shallow depth of field which would focus either more in the nature that has taken over a man made object or the building that has been taken over. I chose too shoot in that way because i wanted too focus in on particular things in the image. I also aimed too shoot in quite a lower shutter speed because the light when i went out taking photos it was quite a dull day and there was some low light, so this would have gave the picture the right amount of light. When doing the shoot the things that went well i would say would be getting the right light in the image because many of the locations that i shot at was quite dark so i kept having too adjust the shutter speed. However the thing that i found quite difficult in the shoot would getting a good mix of man made structures as well as getting some natural features that have taken it over. therefore, if i were too do this task again i would try too research more about the places in the area instead of finding places that i normally know. I could've also tried too research some photographers that have taken some similar pictures too get some inspiration too see what types of buildings i could have taken pictures on.

Assignment - Street Photography
Vivian Maier
She was born in New York city and has a French mother and a Austrian father. She started taking photos in 1949 after inspiration from a award winning portrait photographer Jeanne Bertrand, who she was also living with. She started too take pictures of Newspapers, found objects and graffiti. She never developed any of her photos because she couldn't afford too but only in the past 10 years the photos were published.
In image one, the image is quite close up on the object and there is a frame in a frame which would zoom in on the man that's in the image. In the image itself there is a man that is sitting down in a newspaper stall asleep surrounded by newspapers. There is newspapers that are stacked up all around the man. The man that's asleep looks quite old and looks quite upper class because of the types of clothes that he is wearing. Surrounded by the newspapers there is words that say life that surround the man. this could suggest that this is this mans life and this is all he knows nd his only job. It could mean that this is the only way the man can earn income even though he is bored and doesn't get many customers, because he is asleep.
In image two there is two people, a man and a woman that are wearing quite wealthy clothes because the man is wearing a shit blazer and hat. The two people are sitting on a bus hugging each other, with the other people that look less upper class looking at them. The couple that are hugging are also asleep. The reason that the lower class people are looking at the couple could be because they shouldn't really be on the bus or maybe they aren't used too seeing upper class people on the bus because the bus does look quite old and poorly maintained. The reason that the couple are sleep is maybe because they've been on some sort of hike and are tired so cant walk back too their car so are forced too get on the bus.
Image three is a portrait of a homeless person. It loos like it has been taken in portrait and also looks like it has been taken by a shallow depth of field too maybe focus in the homeless person even more. The image itself is of a lone homeless person that looks quite rough. He is sitting down and looks like he is eating something. Him and his clothes are dirty but he still looks in high spirits. It could be quite a emotional image because it would make you think why the homeless person is in this situation, but how the person has got the food in the first place. Maybe the photographer herself has given the person the food because she felt sorry for him. The bag behind the person might just be a bag but it could also be where the person is sleeping and spending most of his days.
 Fan Ho
He was born in shanghai in 1931. He was won 300 awards from competitions between 1950 and 1960. The images he takes are taken between 1950 and 1960. He took photos in the late afternoon and then prints at night.
In image 1, he has used effective lighting too create many silhouettes in the image. I also think that he has used a high shutter speed and a shallow depth of field too create the image because of how dark the image is. In the image itself there is many people that are talking too each other probably in some sort of train station, but then a lone boy starting right at the camera carrying a bag. The station looks quite busy and the station is probably in Hong Kong due too the people in the image and the history of the photographer. Some of the people are heading up out of the station too the light that is beaming down, they look quite happy which could suggest they are happy too see the light again after being in a dull and dark train station. The boy being alone is also quite effective because it would make the viewer wonder why he is on his own in a busy train station.
Image 2 is also good by using effective lighting too create the dark look in the image. He has mainly focused on the man in the middle of the image. I again think that a high shutter speed has been used. In the image itself, there is only one person in the image, a man, standing in a boat moving through what looks like too be a flooded slum. I can see lots of slum houses probably made of irrigated iron and any type of rubbish. If i look up i can see a silhouette of what looks like too be a bridge or big structure of some kind. This image is also effective because it would make the viewer think why the man is there and why there is no one else. It could also ask questions of who the man is. It could be a local that us returning too his flooded home, or it could be a rescuer trying too look for anyone that maybe trapped in their houses.
Image 2 is also god because he has used effective use of reflections too create a good effect. Because of the shadows in the image there is a frame in a frame which creates a kind of pattern in the image. In the image itself, i can see a set of two staircases with many people walking on it. but i can also see a man in the center of the image and he is carrying something. Also the image creates wonder for the viewer because the viewer would be wondering what the man in the center is carrying and where he is going but also why the man is looking not as unhappy as all the other images he has taken. The location is also not as clear as the other images he has taken, but i’m presuming that it is another train station because it looks a little like his other images.
Street finals
Too take these images i chose too go too quite a busy place that has many people sitting down enjoying they're everyday life, this was because i wanted too get some candid shots of people sitting down but at a certain angle too look like they might have been doing something. this involved a lot of waiting. I also wanted too get some shots of alleyways with some light showing through just like Fan Ho did. Also i wanted too get a shallow depth of field when taking the portrait shots too focus in on the person and what he may be looking at. I would say the things that went well when shooting would be getting in the right position too get the right light on the person at the right time. but the thing i would say i didn't do so well on would be getting the right depth of field on the person without blurring the face so much. so too improve this problem i would need too keep practicing getting the zoom correct and the correct aperture during different lights too get the perfect image.

Subject Matter and content.
The subject matter of a photograph is what is actually in the photograph and what you can actually see. It is the denotation of the image. It is about stating the obvious parts of the image. The content of a image is the connotations behind the image so what the hidden meanings are in the image.
If a image was put into different contexts it would be interpreted in different ways. For example if a certain picture was put into a advert which would be selling something and it would be making money it could be interpreted too not be important and might not appeal too the audience depending on the description of the image or product. However if the a image was displayed in a picture frame it would be looked at different because it would be displayed in a cafe, shop or gallery and this would make it the viewer focus in more on the image and the image would stand out more so more people would be able too see it. If the image was displayed in a newspaper then it could be lost in all the writing depending on where the image is located in the newspaper. If the picture isn't relevant too the words in the paper then not as many people will look at the image and it might not get the attention it deserves.
When evaluating a photo of someone else and looking at the context of the image, the things that you have too look out for are the contextual influences such as; the story behind the photo, the place and date the photographer was born and any historical events that happend in that place at that year, and any education that the photographer may have had.
In the first image above, the picture is by Martin Parr. It was published in 1985 and was from the body of work ‘New Brighton, The last resort’. The Genre of Photography is kind of urban landscape because it was taken in a city but also a portrait shot because of the people in the photo. It is also a candid shot because it doesn't look like the image was staged in any way. In the image i can see people that are probably a family that are on holiday in Brighton. they are sitting on a bench eating something that looks like fish and chips. They are sitting behind a bin that’s overflowing with rubbish.
After reading his article, i would say that the name of the body of work is a play on words. Because he didn't want too originally go too a seaside resort because he said  “I didn’t go to trashy seaside resorts”. But after his family bough a home ear one he was forced too go too a seaside resort. So it was kid of a ‘last resort’ for him too go too a seaside location. Also after reading the article i think the image is about a family that is trying too make the best of going too a seaside location despite the litter and hes trying too show a contrast in the two things. The photographer made this body of work too show where the working class went on holiday too the people of London and how messy and cluttered some seaside locations were away from London, because most people from London in those times would have gone too better resorts for a holiday. he wanted too show what it was really like not what people said. The connotations in the photo are that the people in the photo aren’t looking very happy. which is strange because generally when you go on holiday you are happy, so maybe this family aren’t happy about how run down and how much rubbish there is at the resort and the area of new Brighton. A thing that makes me know that this place could be slightly run down is the benches and the structure that they're sitting on are looking a bit rusty and in need of some paint, it doesn't look attractive too someone that might wanna go there. I do think that the photographer has successfully communicated a message in the image, and the message would be that he wanted too try and get our resorts back too they're original glory so more people would go there again instead of making them look bad and tired and a mess.
In my image, The photograph is off a street in London's china town that is dedicated too a street in china. There is many different cultures walking around and lots of bright Chinese decorations that would make the Chinese feel at home. The genre of photography would be urban/city landscape. A message that this photograph is communicating is that there is many different cultures in London and people tend too accept everyone and accept everyone's cultures even though you're in a British city.  Too make this more successful i could have done a more candid photo but a more of a portrait shot too see the types of cultures in this street more clearly. The settings i used in this photo was a aperture of f/7.1, a shutter speed of 1/200 seconds and a ISO  of 100.

Crop task:
When doing the task i found finding a good location too get multiple photos quite easy because there was a lot of objects around, but it did get more difficult as i had too get more pictures within the area because i was running out of things too photograph. Doing this task did make me change the way i thought about the composition and the framing because it made me think about when taking a photo what could be in the composition and the places that i take the photo too get a good image. The photos that i’m most happy with are the photos that are more far away, this is because i prefer too see the cityscape into a photo rather than a close up image.

David La Chapelle - 'the rape of africa'
David la chapelles inspiration for this piece of work was Botticelli's Venus and mars piece and he took inspiration from that piece and adapted it too create his own piece of work. The message that he wanted too get across from this is that the white Europeans were taking advantage of the Africans because the English stole all of the Africans money and gold in the past and now the children in Africa are now becoming child soldiers because of this or are becoming slaves. So a overall message is for the white Europeans too wake up and help the Africans get back too where they were before the English stole the gold.
Style and Saul Leiter
Style is someones personal preference too something, such as what they wear or what kind of photos someone takes. A photographic style is a unique way of seeing the world or certain images in a picture. My personal style is still developing but i do like too see city's at night in a different aspect using slow shutter speeds and lights too create another aspect too a city at night. I am drawn too cityscapes and urban landscapes when taking my photos. Saul Leiter has a very unique style. He likes too take photos of reflecting surfaces which links in with his love for different weather shots such as rain and snow with diffused light. He likes the softer tones in a image and likes too use different bright splashes of colour in a image. His photos are candid and his subjects are obscured. he likes too take photos in the streets of new York and when taking the photos he shoots from the hip and lower angles. When taking some shots of myself using his style the elements i chose was the slashes of colour and having a shallow depth of field. I am relatively happy with my shots but i would have liked too have more of a subject in my image like he did.

Photoshop Task:
The process of editing that I used when editing the photos was using adjustment layers in Photoshop. The adjustment layers that I used too edit the images were the curves tool, levels, exposure and hue saturation. I also used the crop tool too crop down the image too focus on certain objects. I did more editing on the second image rather than the first because the first  was just about the right colour and exposure but the second one needed more editing too get the right colour in the image. The things that i have learned about editing was that there was more tools too improve a photo than i thought which would make my image better than the original, such as different tools and the exposure of a image too either make the image brighter or darker. I have also learned about the crop tool which would focus more on the main subject in the image and cuts out the irrelevant things in a image. I would say my edits does look better than the originals because I've added more saturation too the images and cropped out some of the irrelevant parts of the images.

Colour Wheel Task:
Primary colours are made up of three colours and are red, yellow and blue. Secondary colours are colours that mix with primary colours such as orange, green and purple.  Tertiary colors are combinations of primary and secondary colours. There are six tertiary colors such as red-orange, yellow-orange, yellow-green, blue-green, blue-violet, and red-violet. A complimentary colour is a colour that if mixed with a certain colour makes black or white.
Too make the colour wheel in Photoshop, firstly i had too open a new Photoshop document and unlock the ‘vector smart object’. Then i had too select the vector smart object layer. Then i had too go too file, place embedded, select colour and open too get one of my images onto the template of the colour wheel, then i had too press enter or the tick button. Then i had too turn off the image using the eye button next too the layer. I then had too repeat the process until all of the secondary colours were embedded. i also had too right click on the layer then rasterize layer for all of the images i took.
Then too place each of the images in the colour wheel i had too select the vector smart object then i used the magic wand tool too select a particular part of the wheel and the marching ants will appear. I then had too select the the correct colour in the colour wheel and turn on visibility. Then i applied layer mask which was the magic Japanese flag button. Then i went back too the vector smart object and the magic wand tool and i repeated these steps for the remaining images. When i had finished i turned off the vector smart object then went too save as psd and changed it too a jpeg.

Lines and patterns in Photography:
Image 1 has a aperture of f/18, a shutter speed of 1.20 seconds and a ISO of 200. I think the shot works because it is looking up from a building and has vertical but also horizontal lines on the same buildings. Image 2 has a aperture of f/22, a shutter speed of 1/20 seconds and a ISO of 200. I think this shot works because it is again looking up on a building and all the vertical lines are leading and directing the viewer too the sky. Image 3 has a aperture of f/3.5, a shutter speed of 1/5 seconds and a ISO of 200. I think this shot works because It is looking down on a staircase and the lines are spiraling down too the floor and again leading the viewer too something.  Image 4 has a aperture of f/22 and a shutter speed of 1/5 seconds and a ISO of 200. i think this is a good shot because the lines of the tram lines are leading into the city center. Image 5 has a aperture of f/20, a shutter speed of 1/20 seconds and a ISO of 200. This is a good shot because There are horizontal lines on a building that are leading somewhere that we cant see in the image so it creates mystery. Image 6 has a aperture of f/13, a shutter speed of 1/20 seconds and a ISO of 200. This image is good because There is two different types of line that are leading too the model so all the focus is on the model herself. Image 7 has a aperture of f/18, a shutter speed of 1/20 seconds and a ISO of 200. I think this image is good because there are many lines all leading towards a main structure. Image 8 has a aperture of f/11,  a shutter speed of 1/5 seconds and a ISO of 200. I think this image is good because There are lines of the steps leading too a door that no one knows where it leads too so again creates mystery in the image.
The Different lines and patterns that are created when viewing the image from different angles are vertical and horizontal lines depending on whether the photo has been taken looking up at a building or at low level on the ground. If you zoom into a image there are lots of different shapes such as squares and rectangles within the pattern itself.

Narrative:
A narrative is when something or a picture tells a story through a image. You can talk about a narrative picture in two different ways. The first way is Denotation which is what you can literally see and the facts in a image and the other way is connotation which is what the image could mean or symbolises.
In the above image i can see a motorway with vehicles going each way. There is hills and mountains either side of the image. Also in the image it is sunset and getting dark. The hills are a silhouette. The Connotations of the sunset could mean that the sunset is somewhere bad or maybe hell because the colour red or orange can suggest bad things or hell. it can also suggest fire which is another negative connotation. Because of the fire the cars that are shown going towards the sunset could be that they are going too hell because they are red from the brakes and the colour red has negative connotations and the cars coming away from the sunset are going too safety because that yellowish colour has positive connotations.
