Bailey (Concept Art)

Bailey is a college friend of Piper who wants to be a photographer. She’s mostly a chill and laidback person and is also Indian-American.

Piper is a light blue mouse who goes to a university with her pink dachshund dorm roommate named Bailey. Her personality is mostly tomboyish but she’s very friendly to her competitors in sports. Piper also has other hobbies like knitting, baking and she doesn’t mind putting on makeup along with Bailey for fun.

Yukon is Miki’s father who is much shorter than his daughter. He’s mostly strict towards Miki to prevent her from getting into trouble or starting fights.

Betsy is a teenage human girl who is Scottish and has pink hair. She is friends with Hazel and they both go to a school in Scumberg called Scumberg Junior High. Betsy is a cheery character who loves shopping for kilts at Go Kilt Yourself which is located at the local mall of Scumberg. She has a thick Scottish accent that the main characters can’t really understand except for Hazel.

Miki is a teenage magenta Eskimo cat who lives with her father, Yukon who is much shorter than her. Ever since Ravenna and her minions started attacking her village, Miki has been practicing dodgeball every day so that she’ll be able to compete against Ravenna someday. Her father forbids her from challenging Ravenna but Miki is somewhat sneaky and will do anything for a fun challenge.

Ravenna is a teenage human girl who has a sassy and brass personality. She specializes with dodgeball magic thanks to one of the crystal suns she found and uses her powers to attack a snow covered village of eskimo cats. A pretty dark rumor about Ravenna that’s spread around the village is that the tombstones around her mansion are the victims who challenged her to a dodgeball match. Copper and his teammates along with one of the village’s residents named Miki will have to defeat her in a game of dodgeball.

These are minions that Ravenna made with her rod thanks to the power of the 3rd crystal sun. They have four types like Normal, Fire and Ice.

The Crow Twins (Talon)

Talon is a black crow wizard who wears a green robe with a map symbol and works with his twin sister Raven in their own map store. He cares about his customers and always aims for high quality service.

Raven is a purple crow witch who wears a dark blue robe, likes fashion and is less serious about her work than her twin brother, Talon. Raven will sometimes annoy her brother by calling him a nerd or sometimes eating his snacks.

Regina is the leader of the Explosio Trio, a group of hooded figures who are mercenaries that take jobs from any good or bad forces or organizations. She is mostly no nonsense with her job and usually has a calm but stoic demeanor, but if anyone interferes with her paid jobs, she’ll go from a mercanary to basically a bounty hunter.

Jaks is the second member and inventor of The Explosio Trio. He creates the group’s bomb related weapons or minions. He and Regina will sometimes argue with each other when her plans fail.

Joggle is the last and shortest member of the Explosio Trio team. He‘s the more cheerful one and will usually break up Regina and Jaks’s arguments. He also sets up the clients with Regina for any tasks they need like a customer service manager.

These characters are the secondary antagonists for the first season arc of Voyage Dog.

Jasper is a teenage light green colored cat who uses a baseball bat as a weapon and wears a green hoodie. He’ll sometimes play pranks and likes daring people. He seems to be a carefree person, but he’ll sometimes have random questions and sometimes deep thoughts. He sometimes has a dark sense of humor but sometimes wonders if it’s ok to joke about tragic things. He’s the fourth and final main character of Voyage Dog.

Skye is a teenage purple duck who wears a dark blue coat and uses her feathers that have needles on them as an attack. She acts egotistical about her flight skills but actually has insecurities about herself and hides it by acting cocky. She also owns a diary to vent her frustrations. She’s the third main character of Voyage Dog.

Hazel is a teenage light brown rabbit who wears a light blue bow and practices kung fu. She lives in a village with other multi colored rabbits that is literally on top of the trees along with her grandma and little brother, Koey. After finding a mysterious map about the Crystal Suns hidden in her grandmother’s house, she decides to find out what the map is all about by going to a map store in Scumberg. She’s the second main character of Voyage Dog.

She runs into Copper after dealing with The Explosio Trio and after Talon tells the both of them the backstory of the Crystal Suns they head off to their adventure. Hazel is also somewhat snarky but will have a sympathetic side sometimes.

Copper is a teenage golden retriever who lives on a boat that he uses for sailing to far away places. He’s a character who likes traveling a lot, meeting new people, exploring new places and helping others sometimes. He also owns a bone shaped boomerang called “The Boneyrang” that he’ll use for self defense if he’s ever in trouble. He’s the first main character of Voyage Dog.

My username is Johnnywriter and I’m fundraising a 5 minute pilot for an upcoming adventure-comedy series called Voyage Dog on Gofundme.

Season Structure:

Each season will have a story arc. For example, Season 1’s arc is called Secret of the Crystal Suns and it’ll first start out with Copper and Hazel with Skye and Jasper appearing in the later episodes. The main villains of this season are the Mysterious Client, a black shadowy figure who resembles a human man and the Explosio Trio, a trio of hooded characters who are working for the Mysterious Client and are trying to steal the Crystal Suns from the main characters.

The Show’s Audience and Writing/Tone:

This show will be aimed towards a broad online audience. There’ll be some mild curse words like “crap” and “jackass” but nothing too vulgar. There’ll be some visual humor with character expressions, and some dark humor in the show. The show would probably be rated PG.

The Art/Animation Style:

The art style of this pilot and the show would have a simple but still cartoony style. The series will have an animation style that’ll replicate the paper cut out animation aesthetic similar to South Park but it would have its own style and charm. CorelDRAW or Photoshop could be used to make the characters and backgrounds resemble construction paper cut outs and Flash would be used to do the animation.

I’ve found a legit animation studio, a few Casting Call Club voice actors for the characters and a SoundCloud composer for the pilot. All I need is the funding for the pilot.
