He let out quiet chuckle, "Yeah, it's nice." He wanted to be able to give his kids a good life, like the one he had. In the same regard, he wanted to be able to do more for them as well, they deserved the world. "Same," he said with a nod of his head, feeling like the conversation was going nowhere at this point. He tied up a garbage bag, setting it off to the side before grabbing another one, "You finished with school, yet?" He asked curiously, trying to keep the conversation going when River was giving him nothing. @riverxjackson
He smirked little "Damn, but it's good you can do it with them" he had weird childhood he never got the chance to do anything like that. " I've heard stuff like that" for the people he knew who had kids. But really, he didn't think it was in the cards for him. At this point, he was single, gay, and had never had a childhood, so he didn't know how he could do it, really. 'I am glad you all can make it work..." with all the kids, working and everything. He felt like he could barely handle himself right now. He was working, had a good home, and was still going to school. @johnnyxwagner.

When Verity's sister arrived in town, Johnny didn't know what to make of it. Verity did not spend a lot of time talking about her sister, though he had always known Verity to keep her walls up when necessary. Despite being cousins, it had not been a natural adaption for Johnny to have Hope in his life now that she was an adult. So, it was a surprise to him when he opened the door after frantic doorbell ringing to find that it was Hope with Naomi. "Hope," he said her name, more in confusion than anything as he took Naomi from her, "It's okay," he hushed the baby, bouncing her gently in his arms as he leaned against the back of the door, a gesture to allow hope inside with not so many words. "It's just her nap time," he told her, "she's probably just over tired, I wouldn't worry." As Johnny continued to gently bounce her, Naomi's cries silenced. @hopexwagner
closed starter for @johnnyxwagner location: his house
Hope barely knew her cousin Johnny. The two had met a few times when she was younger, but then that stopped and since she had moved to Kismet Harbor, she had interacted with him a few times. She had seen his kids a lot more because they would come over to her uncle's place. Hope really wasn't a kid person, so she tried to stir clear of them as much as possible. Today, though, her uncle Nick had to run to the bookshop and asked if she would drop Naomi off at Johnny's. She didn't have time to say no before she was tossed the keys to his usual car that had the car seat in it and he was off in the truck. The three year old stared at her and Hope stared back before she struggled to get her in the thing (which provoked tears) and the whole car ride to Johnny's was just the toddler crying and Hope freaking out. Finally, they got to Johnny's place in Cresthill Meadows and she got the crying child out and she rushed to the door; pushing on the doorbell frantically.
The door opened and she looked at the familiar face and she handed him Naomi. "I don't know what's wrong. I was trying to get her in the seat and she started crying and then wouldn't stop and I don't know how to calm her down."

Johnny's grin faltered just a touch with River's words. "It's our first big trip with the kids. We haven't been jet setting all over the place since they were born." He made sure to make a point of saying that. Johnny and Stevie we were well off, having been smart with their financial decisions early on in their lives. Plus, the trip was to celebrate people who were incredibly important in their lives. "I've never minded it," though he knew for each person was different, "each stage of life for your kids is different and you enjoy them for various reasons." His shoulders lifted into a shrug as he tied a bag closed, "We made the trip work for us, honestly. Every family has to do it differently." @riverxjackson
He had been at a cleaning event when it rained, and it wasn't good at all. So hard to clean, and it was messy, so it just ended up not being very clean at the end of the day. "Same here, cleaning in the rain isn't very fun." hearing what the other said he smield "Damn kids have more of travel life then I did" he teased. But he grew up very differently from most people, so he didn't mind that at all. "Double twins, that's so crazy," he said as he thought about it. "I don't even think I can handle being around the baby more than like an hour," he teased. Once they got a little older, he was fine with them, but babies were pretty hard for him to deal with and be good around. But he understood not bring babies on trip like that. @johnnyxwagner.

"Five is more than kinda crazy," he teased his wife with a small bout of laughter bubbling over his lips. "It's full blown chaos and I wouldn't change a minute of it." The only thing Johnny ever wished he could change was the fact that it had taken him so long to come home permanently, that it took the loss of his mother for something to click in Johnny. Every day since, Johnny had counted his blessings, often still in awe that Stevie had forgiven him, married him and wanted more children with him. "A weekend trip, huh?" His grin grew, "Let's do it," he stated in agreement, "We can find somewhere with good food, good views," though it wouldn't be a tall order to fill, "and no crayons." He joked once more, "Did you have a place in mind?" @steviexwagner
She laughed and looked over at him. "That might have something to do with it. Five is kinda crazy." She smirked and kissed his cheek. "But I wouldn't trade it for the world." And she knew Johnny wouldn't either. They loved their family, but there was something about getting to spend alone time together that was also nice. "Maybe we should do a weekend trip this summer, just the two of us. Let the kids be with your dad and we can just go relax somewhere." @johnnyxwagner

With Franny's words, he felt his heard sink into the pit of his stomach. Both her parents had passed. "Franny, I am so sorry about your parents." Naturally, Johnny reached out, touching his hand to Franny's wrist in a comforting manner. He knew what it was like to lose one parent, but both? At the same time? "Seems Kismet Harbor has a common reason in bringing us home." He half-joked, a small smile touched his lips. "My mom passed back in October of twenty-twenty-one." Not that Johnny didn't have plenty of reason to go home earlier with Zoe and Logan, but his heart had been torn between two places. "I stayed. Stevie and I are together, married, got five total kids right now." He chuckled, shaking his head, "Yeah, I know, we are crazy." @frannyxreyes
"I know. I am to surprise people." She smirked at him and shook her head since she wasn't sure how long it had been. At least ten years, if not longer. "A long ass time." She laughed as she finished approaching him. "I moved back, actually. My, um, parents passed last year and I took in Catalina so after I got passed to transfer, I moved us back. I thought she'd be better off finishing school somewhere she knew." Franny explained. "What about you? When did you finally come back to town?" @johnnyxwagner

"Yeah, definitely glad the weather held up." Johnny responded with a nod of his head. "Makes cleaning up a whole lot easier." He glanced around at the tall trees that were scattered around the park. Some were accented with pink or white blooming flowers. As he did, his gaze fell to his kids as he heard River ask about them. "They're doing good. Energetic as ever," he joked with the other. "Zoe and Logan are done with school for the summer and so we will be spending as much time together as we can. They're coming with us to a wedding this summer overseas, too." Johnny continued, "Not the newborn twins, though," as much as he would find himself with a heartache to be away from them, he knew they'd be in better hands with family here in Kismet Harbor. @riverxjackson
River did his best to give back and help out. He did love nature and cared about the planet, so he was happy to be a part of the Red Set Clean. Something he could do on a day off to relax. He had been off the trail and into some areas that had more trees in them to find any trash he could pick up. Trash and things that were not made to be in the park often get stuck out in the middle of the trees and plants. He had put what trash he had picked out into the large bags and smiled as Johnny walked up to him. "It is glad it's not raining." They could still clean in the rain, but it was harder. "Good busy with work and things, but good," he smiled at the other. "How about you? How are the kids?" he asked as he saw them riding around. @johnnyxwagner.

One arm draped behind her shoulders as they settled in. He glanced over at her as she spoke, "Yeah," he agreed with a quiet voice. "It really is." And he meant it. It was moments like this that he cherished the most with his wife. Their life was full of chaos as was and so it was good for the two of them to slow down and take in the sights. The waves rolled in steady and slow. Nothing was pulling either of them in a dozen different directions. "Remind me again why we don't do this more often?" He teased gently, "Is it all the kids we have?" @steviexwagner
"Oh, I'm definitely letting that go to my head. It's like you don't know me at all." She teased her husband, both knowing that he knew her better than anyone else did and that she was hopeless without him as well. She nodded as she grabbed some things too to bring to the car and smiled at him. "Let's go."
**TIME SKIP**
It didn't take long to get to where they wanted to go; not like anything in Kismet Harbor did. They brough the stuff from the car to a spot on the beach and put out their blankets before settling in. The sun was shining on the water and while it wasn't cold, it was a perfect chill that helped with the blankets around them. "This is perfect." @johnnyxwagner

location: ready set clean meet up, kismet harbor park
With college out for the summer, Johnny had significantly more down time on his hands - at least if he wasn't counting the number of hours he spent driving the twins around to different activities and the time spent with Naomi and the twins. So really, his free time was limited but when he did have it, he liked spending it in a worthwhile way. Ready Set Clean was a local group in Kismet Harbor that was near and dear to his heart. Today, they were at the park and his twins were riding their bikes around and playing their own game while they picked up trash as part of the agreement to come to the park. "Beautiful day out, huh?" Johnny said as he walked over some trash to the pile and saw River standing there. "How've you been, River?"

Looking up from tying his shoe, a crooked grin spread across his face as he stood up. "Well, I'll be damned, Franny Reyes." He brushed dirt off of his hands from where he had been bracing himself on the ground. "I didn't think I'd see you back here." He said, stepping closer with genuine surprise in his tone. "Shit, how long has it been now?" Johnny questioned with a low chuckle, shaking his head as he did so. "What brings you back to good ole Kismet Harbor?" @frannyxreyes
closed starter for @johnnyxwagner location: cresthill park
It was easy for Franny to pick up her small routines now that she was back in Kismet Harbor and honestly, they were easier here. She could go out for a job without worrying about anything and get waved at by every person she saw. She was running through the local park in her neighborhood and stopped to take a drink of her water before saw a familiar face and creased her eyebrows. "Johnny Wagner? Is that you?" She asked as she approached the man.

"I'm definitely hopeless without you, but don't let it go to your head." He gave her a playful smirk, raising a brow back at her. "If I survive, it won't be pretty." He teased before glancing around the room before his gaze moved back to his wife. "I don't think we need anything else. I think we can get this adventure on the road, what do you think?" He questioned, beginning to gather a few things into his arm to bring to the car. @steviexwagner
She grinned as she looked up at him and swayed a little bit. "Oh, I'm sure you're up for the job." She told him with a smile before nodding. "I'll get a few extra then." She was about to move back, then he continued and a laugh escaped her lips. "Hopeless without it or me, Mr. Wagner?" She asked and wiggled her eyebrows a little. Stevie smirked as she moved away and grabbed a few more blankets. "Anything else?" @johnnyxwagner

Johnny chuckled, the corners of his eyes crinkling with his smile. "Well, when you put it like that," he wrapped an arm around her to pull her closer to him, "I guess I will have to make sure you stay real warm then, huh?" His eyes danced with a hint of both mischief and amusement with the inclination his wife was getting at. "Might need a couple more blankets then, just to be safe," he let out a low laugh, "And for the record, you keep making it because you know I'm hopeless without it." He teased, pressing a kiss to the top of her head before pulling away. @steviexwagner
She made her way over to him and laughed a little bit. “I won’t. They’ll be doing enough of that this summer.” She patted his arm. “It feels like it, doesn’t it?” Stevie grinned and nodded at him.”Yeah, it’s a very good thing.” She went back to grab a few more things. “Oh, I know. Why do you think I keep making it?” She teased her husband before she finished and shot him a look before rolling her eyes teasingly. “Maybe the blankets are to put on ground when you’re keeping me warm, Mr. Wagner. Have you thought about that?” She smirked and closed the distance once again. Pressing a kiss to his cheek, she rubbed his chest. “Thank you.” @johnnyxwagner

"She's a tough one," he smiled at her, knowing a little scrape or two won't keep her down for long. "Thank you for offering," Johnny said with a warm voice. He hadn't expected the other to do so and wouldn't dream of actually letting her pay. "I'll see what I can do about it," he spoke, the teasing evident in his voice. "I think she might have already forgiven you," he said, looking down at his daughter, "but that's probably because she will never say no to ice cream." @alliannahvaughn

Seeing that the little girl had seemed to calm down a lot with her father's appearance made Alli feel herself relax; at least the kid wasn't bleeding and didn't have a broken bone or a concussion or anything. That was something. Frankly she was broke and she'd never been able to live with herself if she didn't at least offer to pay for any damage she'd done. "I'm glad she's okay. I'd survive." she nodded, offering the girl a small smile as she seemed to be looking Alli over. She wouldn't blame her if she'd have chosen to ignore her; it would've been justified. "Ice cream would be great." she smiled. "But can I pay? It's the least I can do." @johnnyxwagner

At the sound of Stevie saying that they were going to have high schoolers, Johnny nearly choked on the air he was breathing. "Fuck," he breathed the word, lifting his hand to the back of his neck and rubbing it. "High schoolers? Don't remind me of that again," he joked, his voice warm though it was tinted with a form of disbelief that his eldest kids were going to be high schoolers already. "Weren't they just learning to ride bikes or something?" He joked, remembering all the videos he'd receive from Stevie while overseas. "It's a good thing we have all these young kids to keep us humble," he paused with a growing grin, "and not to mention sleep-deprived." Though he wouldn't have it any other way. "Your peach lemonade has always won me over," Johnny commented, "Blankets? When you have a heater like me?" He clicked his tongue, though he only teased her, "I suppose, we can bring blankets." @steviexwagner
“I’m sure it’s coming. Though, they are almost fourteen.” She made a face at that. “God, they’re going to be freshmen next year. We’re going to have high schoolers.” She couldn’t believe it and it honestly made her sad. While yes, they had babies in the home still, Zoe and Logan were their firsts and having them getting older was crazy to Stevie. She had to stop thinking about it before she just cried over it. “Perfect.” She told Johnny and nodded at him. “We should. I made a new batch last night. You know I love my peach lemonade.” She grinned and grabbed the smaller cooler from the pantry and started putting some things in it. “I’ll grab a few blankets too and some heavier jackets, just in case.” It was spring weather, after all. It was destined to get cold as the sun went down. @johnnyxwagner

Johnny nodded his head, "Honestly, Stevie raising Zoe and Logan on her own has been something I've admired about her for a long time." And something he'd always regret not being around for. "You'll make a great team." He said, referring to Julian and Haven. "A nanny, huh? I think that might be the most genius idea I've heard in a while," he grinned at Julian, a soft laugh passing over his lips. "That makes sense," he said, a nod of his head following. "You've got spirit in you and anyone can respect that." Johnny was genuinely proud of Julian in the time that he had known him. "I have no doubt you'll get that last championship." His grin softened into a smile, "And you know we will all be there cheering you on, even if it's just right here in Kismet." @julianxhawthorne
"Appreciated. I'm sure Haven will be glad for the extra support when I'm gone." One newborn was already a lot, but two? And having to do it on your own? He knew that Haven could do it without any help, she was great that way. But he didn't want her to be stressed out of her mind either. "Might just hire a nanny for when it's bed time, for all the kids, honestly. It can be one huge slumber party for them." Julian thought out loud, another something to put on the list to discuss with Haven. Though between them and Dana and whatever help his mother insisted on aiding them with, he was certain all would be tended to. "Not likely." Julian shook his head. "We talked about it, and with how bad the car is this year it is tempting." Which it already was now that all his fortune was right here in this house. "But I have a goal and I want to do what I can to achieve it." One more championship, just to prove that being in your forties didn't mean you were out of the game. The chances of making that happen this year were slim, but who knew. @johnnyxwagner

Johnny adjusted his daughter in his arms as he looked at the young woman. "Hey, don't beat yourself up." He said with a reassuring voice, one that he had gotten used to using. "Kids are tougher than they look," that much Johnny had learned and was continuing to learn with newborn twins. "You didn't mean any harm." Johnny told her, a smile touching his lips. "She's okay, you're okay. That's all that matters if you ask me." His lips parted, "If you're up for it, ice cream always makes things even better." @alliannahvaughn
Alli watched as the child seemed to calm almost immediately in her father's arms. It was no surprised; she'd often done the same with her own father when she'd been that child's age. A daddy's girl through and through; it almost made her smile at the thought until she remembered she'd been the one that had caused this situation. "Good. That's good." she nodded, feeling herself nod as she looked at the other. She offered him a small smile as she nodded. "I'm okay, yeah. Just spooked that I'd hurt her." she admitted. "I am sorry. I'm glad she's okay though." @johnnyxwagner

Johnny let out a low whistle, "Well that is one way to assure you don't miss a date," he joked lightly, nudging her with his shoulder. "If you already trust someone enough to live with them, that has to be a good start, right?" He added, his tone softening. "Has it been working out so far?" He questioned, genuinely curious as his brow raised, "No who left the dishes in the sink arguments, yet?" @veritywagner
Verity giggled softly, not surprised by her cousins reaction, or anyone's really, to the news of her changed relationship status. Especially since she had time and time again swore off romantic relationships ever again after her ex. "Well, it is complicated in the sense that we already live together.." She explained with a small shrug. "It's my room mate, Eddie." She elaborated further. Not that she was necessarily worried about it, seeing the base of their relationship was after all their friendship which was different to anything she'd ever done before. @johnnyxwagner

"Hopefully," he laughed with a shake of his head with the thought. "I'm surprised, too, now that you mention it." Perhaps, he'd bring it up to them over the summer. It could make a good family project for them. "Fruit bowl and trail mix, got it," he grinned at her, "I can grab some of those granola bars, too." He gave a nod of his head, knowing that the kids wouldn't exactly miss those. "Do we still have some of that good lemonade?" He questioned his wife, opening up the fridge. @steviexwagner
She laughed a little bit. "Hopefully their sonic hearing isn't working currently." Stevie commented. "Though, I'm surprised Zoe and Logan haven't thought about that before. If not, then them having loft beds or something." She shook her head. Nodding, she ran her hand along his side for a moment. "The best kind." She agreed with him. God, she truly loved their family. After moving back, she followed him towards the kitchen. "We should take that remaining fruit bowl I made the other day. I don't think the kids will eat any more of it unless I force them." She said and shrugged. "And maybe some of the trail mix we have?" @johnnyxwagner
