Me: Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a series exploring masculinity and is perhaps one of if not the best representation of the male struggles of emotional vulnerability, relationships and the definition of strength. The duality of “beautiful men” who also happen to meet today’s standards of strength while having complex and emotional back stories contrasts with typical shonen characters her expected to be pillars of strength with masculinity referring to rough and rugged features. By toying with femininity within the masculine, JJBA encourages exploration and the relationships within can be interpreted as either platonic or romantic with both views providing valuable insight.
Some guy named Jared: No one is gay in JJBA
Me: Every single person in JJBA is gay. Joseph? Gay. Foo Fighters? Gay. Josukes grandfather? Gay. That flower cat thing? Gay. Giorno’s mom? Gay. Die mad.
