Because if you ever witness them being nice to each other it’ll go like:

OC Doodles: The Birthday of Tea and Ere!

Almost forgot these two’s birthday, damn! Glad I remembered on time :D

Quick doodle of the Starson Twins enjoying birthday gifts - well, Ere will for sure have the time of his life since he doesn’t get too much at the Asylum, but Tea is not quite enjoying it because she’s not at ease with the significance of this day- Little explanation about why under the cut for anyone who’s curious <3

Tea and Ere are twins, born in the middle of the 30th of July. So they share the same birthday and it was always celebrated at the same time :D. However, since Ere was the golden boy and Tea, well, walking in his shadow trying her best, it was mainly an event about him and not for the both of them. (Tea still got birthday presents and cards, but the guests were always having fun with Ere most of the time)

One time, a friend of their father was invited and… Didn’t know it was a birthday party for twins. He always heard about Ere but never about Tea. So first he got confused, then pitied Tea, and finally he got mad at her father shouting things like ‘What do I look like now?!’ ‘I swear I didn’t know-’ ‘Damnit I’ll be right back with another gift’

And so the guest came back from the closest supermarket with some dolls to dress up (Tea did not particularly like dolls but he didn’t ask just assumed and she never was the kind to complain about a gift)

After that, Tea always had been stressed about her birthday. Even when it was mainly about her since Ere’s accident.

Nowadays her ‘friends’ often forget about it and the few who do remember to get her a gift get a ‘You didn’t have to…’ because, for her, getting wished a happy birthday by people she cares about is far than enough than feeling forced to give her something.

And as always it only applies to her and not how she treats others- Be her friend and for sure you’ll get an amazing birthday!

You have the right to wonder who is Maddy, and what will she do in the novel. I cannot give you much answers, but she is the one responsible for Ere’s state. Another thing I can tell you is that she lost a loved one to a vampire - or at least believes it was like that - and is now the embodiment of hate against vampires.

Completely insane is that woman, but only some times, when she is ‘sane’ she is far from being a violent person and… Quite a good mom-

Her apparition in the novel will be short, so, for the moment, remember she has a role in Ere’s past and so in Azenor’s as well.

The one to blame for her weak mental health and the loss of her leg…

What is there to tell about Ere? He’s a monster who lost his humanity. Stuck forever in the shape of a two-legged wolf. He devoured a young girl’s leg and gave her so many scars.

So, because he is a danger to everyone, he was locked away in an asylum for cases like him.

His presence in the novel will be short… But his shadow over the lore will be terrifying. Flashbacks may tell you a little more about the man who was turned bloody beast of the moon.

No one is going to believe Athena is that secret student. Especially when the story is kind of wrong- But who is she to correct them? She has no time for that, she must study magic!! Her whole life!! Her reason to live!! SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT BEING ALONE AND LAUGHED AT IF SHE CAN STUDY MAGIC!!!!!

Yeah.

Magic can make her happy, no one is going to accept her like her favorite subject in life do.

Athena is not a character you will see a lot in the novel, but she sure will be extremely… herself! Yeah, let’s say herself.

At the Academia, it is told there is one professor who killed someone. A true, horrifying, demon who teaches here. What happened for him to get that job?? Bribery??? Maybe. Hyde will smile without a word if you ask him so. If he is in a bad mood, he might even tease the hell out of you.

However, he will never hurt anybody. Not anymore. Mysterious and dangerous, that is Hyde. The only thing keeping that murderer in check seems to be his alter-ego, with whom he shares a body with.

A few scenes will prove you how bad he can be as a professor, as much as some others will prove you why he deserves that job of his.

Either that, or the teacher will be verbally destroyed by any character for no reason other than they dared to ask for silence. Well, that teacher, is Jekyll!

Jekyll long ago stopped correcting his students when they did not pay attention. All he does now is read his books and answer questions (if at least someone is not sleeping or chatting). Oh the misery, he used to be a doctor and now he can’t even interest students about potions and medecine…

Life is hard, especially when you’re underpaid like him and stuck with a ‘roommate’ as infernal as his. He prays that, someday, everything will be better.

Not that it will be in the novel lol- Poor man will not be thrilled by what will be in store for him, but at least he will be one of the side characters with the highest number of scenes!

Chess might be big, but his shapeshifting abilities let him take any form he wants, from the big fluffy cat he is to a cute little kitten you wanna hold in your arms and kiss <3. He will have a few apparitions in the novel, some cute, some… perfectly showing he comes from Wonderland.
