imo there's something especially cruel about pulling the whole "everyone on this website is a socially inept virgin and i am laughing at them for it" thing considering the staggering levels of isolation and loneliness that tend to come with being queer. compounded by various vectors of marginality, compounded by various signifiers that mark one as "socially inept" in the first place. it's just fucking spiteful.

case in point this was my theme in 2014
in 2014 everyones blog theme was a variation of this
redux edit made by their 15 y/o mutual named ren whose url was something like kageyamaexe
background image was either a grid or a grainy picture of a sunset
messily cropped transparent png of their blorbo somewhere on the bottom left corner
posts were extremely small and theyd have a very tiny very pale pixel font and cursor that made navigating the blog absolutely headache-inducing for no reason
tracker in the description that indicated "2 relatable memers" were viewing the blog currently
