Lucas took the drink and curled against the male’s side, relaxingÂ
as he did. He felt safe with the male and just wanted to stay with
him forever but didn’t know if Jonathan would want him there at all
after he found out the truth about him. “He’s great.” He muttered against
his shoulder. “I’ll stay. I wanna see Nate in the morning.” He knew heÂ
shouldn’t get attached to the kid but he couldn’t help it.Â
He rolled his eyes fondly, winking at the male as he did. “I’ll drool on you
if I fall asleep.”
Being tired was worth it, especially when he got moments like this
at the end of the day. He loved his job, he did, but he wanted to share
it with Nate and the man next to him. “He’s gonna be a genius.” All
that Jonathan wanted for Nate was for him to be happy. “I gotta warn
you, he’ll wake you up in the morning and it’s going to be loud.” He
he couldn’t help but be happy in that moment.
“Somehow I think it’s going to be cute if you do it.” He pointed, though
he had no doubts about that either.

“Seriously thanks.” Lucas needed the support after everythingÂ
that happened he wanted the male to be with him. He moved
towards the couch and sat on it, stretching out with a small smile
on his face. “He’s not that bad.” He told him with a chuckle, nudging
him softly before looking at Nate’s door. “I’m sorry that I missed himÂ
too.” He really did love the little guy and wanted what was best for him.
He laughed lowly so he didn’t wake up Nate and snorted as he looked
over at the male. “I’m down if you are.” He teased right back.Â
“Any time,” Lucas was someone that anyone in the world would
be lucky to know, he wasn’t being biased about it, it was the truth.
As Jonathan sat next to Lucas he pulled out another beer and
handed it to him. “No he’s really not,” He shuffled close to Lucas
and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. “You should stay
tonight, I make a great breakfast...and I have the cutest kid in
the world lets be honest.” Though he truly did believe that.
He flicked on the TV and wiggled his eyebrows before laughing.
“I’m always down, but just so you know, if I fall asleep and start
drooling it’s not my fault.”

“Thanks.” Lucas swallowed hard and leaned into the touch on
his arm. He was glad Jonathan wasn’t going to force him intoÂ
talking. He knew his powers could hurt someone if he lost control
and he hated it, even if the guy deserved it this time. “Sounds like
a plan. Is Nate asleep?” He had a urge to check on the little boyÂ
but held back because as much as he loved the two of them, he knew
Nate shouldn’t be around him.Â
“I have your back.” Jonathan kept his hand there, wanting to help
Lucas in any way that he could. Even if he couldn’t really ask what
was wrong, this...this felt important. He pulled the remote onto his
lap. “Nate is asleep, I think this is the only time he’s going to be
quiet.” Jonathan looked towards his door and his smile softened.
“I think he was a little disappointed that he missed you.”
He took another long sip from his drink before a cheeky grin grew
on his face. “Want to netflix and chill?” He teased.

“There’s really nothing to talk about.” Well there was but Lucas
wasn’t willing to really talk about what happened to him while
he was at work. Actually it was when he got off, he might haveÂ
hurt someone real bad and since the male didn’t know about hisÂ
abilities he wasn’t going to tell him.Â
“We don’t have to talk, it’s okay,” He would never force Lucas
into talking about anything, he wasn’t that kind of guy. But that
didn’t mean he wasn’t worried about him. Jonathan reached
out and squeezed the other man’s shoulder. “Lets have beer
and watch...star wars?” He gave the other man a cheeky grin.

“I haven’t slept for more than a few hours over the last eight
years, you might as well come in and tell me about it,” He sighed
in contentment and offered a beer up to the other man. Nate had
passed out more than an hour ago, this was the first time he had
sat down all day.

I probably curse too often. It’s fun to do with friends, enemies, when you fall down, when you watch sports…all the time really. It’s just kinda great. But if anyone reads this…don’t curse. It’s bad, and if you all start doing it all the time it won’t be as fun when I do it.
