i think actually the key to successfully doing tumblr (and especially doing fandom on tumblr) is realising that your blog is your little house and you can post about whatever you like there. once you realise you are just living in and decorating your very own silly little online house you start focusing on what makes you happy rather than constantly performing for & compromising your tastes for & placing all your self worth on little scraps of clout, and you will be a lot happier for it

Calling all writers and beta readers :)

Hey there, long time no speak!

I wanted to let y’all know about this new website I’ve been working on that might interest you if you’re a writer or beta reader: Critique Connect.

As aspiring published authors know (I used to be one haha), the first step after writing and editing your manuscript is to find people who are not your family and friends to give you unbiased feedback on your work in progress. How to find those people? Well, strangers on the Internet is one place :) 

These people are called beta readers. Beta readers read over unpublished works for free, for payment, or to get feedback on their own works in exchange. 

So I’ve created Critique Connect to help writers and beta readers find each other!

Critique Connect JUST officially launched for open beta today, meaning that we don’t have many users and there’s still some improvements to make. But if you’re interested, would love for you to be part of this new community you will hopefully get value from and also open to any feedback you have about it.

As for A Sea of Quotes, I know I’ve been MIA for a few months and don’t post as often as I used to but I have some exciting plans for ASQ in the future (including a redesign, iOS/Android apps, and more!!) and I wanna thank you all for sticking with ASQ through the hiatus and now that the minimum viable product for Critique Connect is done, I hope to be a lot more active on here again.
