Hi guys,
Did I miss anyone’s posts?  I know tumblr has been a little wonky with the tags lately, so please let me know if I missed anything.  Also, are there any late posts heading down the pipe? If you could give me a heads up I’d appreciate it.

Joyce stepped out of the car, closing the door behind her. She secured the scarf around her neck as the cold wind struck her face. She tugged on the sleeves of her jacket before hugging herself.
It was October and a chilly one. It was closing in on Halloween which was the reason she was now outside, instead of at home watching some movie or reading something, well anything instead of freezing outside.

Fictober 2020 Prompt number: 21 Fandom: Stranger Things Pairing: Joyce Byers/Jim Hopper Rating: G Warnings/Tags: N/A
Jim heard El and Will squabble over the gravy, before he could even think about saying anything, Jonathan had grabbed the gravy-boat out their hands, to avoid a Thanksgiving day disaster, not that a little split gravy would hurt all that much.
It felt good to have a full table for the holiday.  When El and him had been at the cabin they had Thanksgiving dinner, but it didn’t feel like much of a celebration with only the two of them.  Today Joyce and Jim had their little family, plus Nancy and Mike, who had come for a visit.  Tomorrow Steve and Robin were driving up with Dustin, Lucas and Max, they were going to have a full house for the long weekend.  He must of frowned, because Joyce touched his arm.
“Hop, you alright?  After all you’ve been through I can understand if this is a tad overwhelming.”  Jim squeezed her hand.
“I’m okay, really, this” he said, looking at all the faces around the table “this makes it all worth it.”

Hello. I planned to post a fic on the 23rd and choose Free Choice. I wanted to check if we could write about anything we wanted or should it be autumn related?
Free choice can be about anything you want

Hi! I just saw the Jopperautumn posts. What does the vs mean? Could you explain more on what it is you should do? Should I choose a world and write a fic around that? I want to try to write something for the 23rd if I have the time.
Should I choose a world and write a fic around that?
That is basically the idea, they’re daily prompts and you can write/create art for one of them or all of them.  If you can post them on the assigned day that would be great, but if you run a little late that is fine.  I’ll be checking the tag #jopperautumn to find all the fanworks.

Just a reminder that the Jopper Autumn Challenge begins this Tuesday, once again the prompts are:
Day 1 (Oct 20) - Pumpkin or Remember
Day 2 (Oct 21) - Thanksgiving or Reunion
Day 3 (Oct 22) - Spooky or Reconciliation
Day 4 (Oct 23) - Frost or Free Choice
Please use the tag #jopperautumn within the first five tags so I can find your work, and @jopperautumnchallenge would also be helpful. If you are writing fanfiction, and will be posting on A03, you can add it to the collection.  I can’t wait to see all your amazing fanworks.

Alright, everyone I’m closing the survey.  The most popular dates was the second half of October.  I will be making an announcement post shortly.
Jopper Autumn Challenge for 2020
Hi everyone, it’s getting close to that time of year again, and I’m trying to gauge if there is interest in having the Jopper Autumn Challenge again this year, because there was no season of Stranger Things this year, and 2020 has been a really strange year so far.  If you guys can please take this survey, it should take less than a minute, and it will really help me, as a moderator, out.  Thanks.

Would anyone else like to take the survey, or share it with their friends?  At this point the last half October (18th-31st) is leading in the results.  I will keep it open for another week or so.

Hi everybody, I have fixed the survey link now.  I am so sorry for the inconvenience.  That will teach me to post things before bed without double checking that the links work :p

Jopper Autumn Challenge
Day Four: Free Choice (featuring Holidays)
Joyce sat in the hospital room, holding one of Hopper’s hands while El held the other. She had lied. She had lied to the receptionist and said that Hopper was her husband. El had just looked at her and nodded. You had thanked El when the two of you had gotten into the room, but she had shrugged. “Mom and dad, that’s who you are. You’re as married as you can be,” she said.
Joyce shrugged. “We could have been. When we were in high school, I dreamed about being Joyce Hopper, and I ruined that,” she said, looking down at Hopper. “We were about to start a new life, and I fu- messed that up too. This is all my fault. I shouldn’t have done the things that I did.”
El looked at her, furrowing her brows. “Mom, what are you talking about?” she asked.
Joyce felt tears in her eyes. “I could tell that he wanted to get back together, but I fucked up. I didn’t let it happen. I stood him up for a date and I was so worried about what was going on that I pretended like I didn’t care. That I didn’t do anything wrong. I was terrible to him. We were together a lot that last week, and I never told him how I really felt about him all this time. I really screwed up,” she said, the tears beginning to fall from her eyes. She wasn’t about to tell El that she blamed herself for Hopper ending up in the upside down. She did though. It had been her fault. Hopper coming back was a true Christmas miracle, and maybe she would have him home in time to celebrate the holidays with their family. If he wanted to be part of her family after everything she had messed up on. He had every reason to not want her around anymore.
“Dad will forgive you. He loves you. Being around you makes him happy, and I’ll make sure that he’s happy by keeping you around,” she said, smiling at Joyce. “Besides, you’re my mom now, he can’t push you away.”
Joyce shrugged, hoping that she would figure out what she wanted to say to Hopper before he woke.
Hopper’s hand twitched in hers and she saw movement behind his eyes.
Time was up.
Hopper was back.
She froze, staring at him. He hadn’t moved again, maybe she’d been imagining things. She looked at the monitors to see that nothing had changed. He was alive, and he would hopefully be coming back soon. She had been without him for more time than she cared to be. She wanted him back more than anything. She loved their kids, but to give them everything, like she wanted to, she needed him. Her boys had never really had a father before, and El… she deserved to have two parents together.
Hopper’s eyes opened. “El. Joyce,” he croaked, dehydrated.
Joyce smiled at him and leaned forward to press a kiss to his lips. “I’m here,” she whispered, hovering above his mouth.
