the sound that comes past through her lips was a poor resemblance of a laugh; to ask his question was trick, she was alright? perhaps, at least she felt like in a more subjective way, but her body and mind for sure weren’t. tiredness fell upon her like an old friend. “tuesday” she repeats, playing over the events at her mind to search for any important errands that she needed to get it done. “i may be – no, i am — i’m just tired, jet lag is the worst part of living in a plane.”
“yeah, pretty sure.” jordan replied, eyes still trained on the brunette. he knew she had a crazy schedule, as it came with the talent that she possessed. people around the world were dying to work with her, and he was one of the lucky ones that actually got to see her in action. “i feel that. we’re going crazy trying to get ready for coachella. you need help with anything?”

she loved jordan just as much as she hated him. there was familiar wash of irritation and displeasure every time she heard his name. things were definitely different now that they were parents, and it wasn’t a good thing. giselle hardly had any time for herself. between recording, watching after her daughter and all the things her managers had lined up for her, there was little room left to do anything else. by the time she finally got home the young mother was exhausted. she didn’t feel comfortable handing her child off to series of nannies kept on a rotation. her goal was to be an active parent even if it made her long for all the things she was missing out on. her expression turned sour. “the more i tell you, the dumber i get.” she murmured into the glass before taking a swig. everything that came out of her mouth sounded like a broken record. giselle was constantly repeating her frustrations. he was invalidating her emotions and he didn’t even know that he was doing it. the brunette stared at him blankly, physically biting her tongue to keep from reiterating what they’d gone over so many times before. “the way you brush your daughter off is not a big deal. not at all.” she took a facetious tone with the man before her. scolding him wasn’t her job so she wouldn’t waste her time. he was good to wynter when he could actually find the time to come around. admittedly, she didn’t make it very easy for him to be forthcoming. her issue was rooted in the way he came and went leisurely. “i just want you to know that being her mother is a full-time job. i can’t just bail out to go play basketball or bar crawling with my friends.”
jordan’s dark eyes narrowed at her comment, she knew exactly how to get under his skin. her words were always calculated in just the way to piss him the fuck off, and she knew it. it was like her superpower and of course, he fell for it every time. he couldn’t help but let out a laugh, shaking his head in frustration. “you really are something.” he commented, watching as she nursed the glass of wine in her hand. “drag on me all you want, elle. i promise you don’t want the alternative. you and i both know that.” the months he spent listening to her complain about how shitty of a person he was had taken its toll and at this point, he couldn’t help but let it slide. he knew better than to get into with it her, it was pointless. if it wasn’t her way he was fucked, and nine times out of ten...he was fucked. it would’ve been a simple fix to split their custody right down the line, share the days of the week because their daughter was young enough. but their schedules were just crazy, all the time. she was far from perfect and he’d be the first to call her out on it, it was the only thing that kept him drowning in self-hate. “can we just drop this for tonight? i don’t really see the point. but if you’re trying to offer me a drink and act civil i might be down.” his eyes subconsciously traced her body, damn, she drove him crazy.

finger smoothly tracing the edge of her glass of rosé; she was not in the mood for anything stronger than that, it was the perfect amount of bitterness to finish the day or to begin? her mind and body confused by the jet lag, a week in europe did that to you. “hm – excuse me, could you tell me what day is it?” she asked to the person near by, hopefully to get an answer and not a sarcastic remark. yes, it was an honest question and nothing more than that.
jordan turned around at the sound of the familiar voice, eyeing up the woman in front of him. a glass of cognac in his own hand, he had found himself at this bar more than a few times. he wasn’t exactly surprised to see his close friend out this early in the week, but more so that she was back and hadn’t hit him up. “yeah, that would be tuesday.” he replied, taking a sip of his drink. “you alright?” the man asked sincerely.

there were times when giselle couldn’t help but feel like the bad guy. she swore up and down that she did her best not to complain whenever her child’s father came out of the woodworks with demands. their daughter deserved to have a somewhat decent relationship with her father, so no matter how upset he made giselle she would find a way to compromise with him. her frustrations weren’t from a place of anger but that’s what her actions reflected. the chime of her phone interrupted the monologue of the reality tv show her eyes were glued to. any other time she would be pestering him from the time he left to the moment they returned. giselle busied herself with a glass of wine to help her relax. the young woman sauntered toward the door, a small smile spreading across her features at the sight of her little girl. jordan was a wonderful dad when he wanted to be. brown eyes glanced at the watch atop her slender wrist. the grin faded and was swiftly replaced with a glare. “that’s fine.” was all she offered in a neutral tone. she waited until he’d disappeared up the stairs before she shut the door behind them. the woman stood there idly, sipping from her second glass as if she didn’t have an early start ahead of her tomorrow. when he finally reappeared she cleared her throat. “so what did you have for her that was so important?”
the woman’s face flipped like a light, flashing from elation to frustration almost immediately. he was used to seeing the latter, giselle wasn’t his biggest fan these days (with good reason). he nodded as she agreed and made his way through the familiar house. there was a time when he was basically living here, trying to get on his own feet and be around for their daughter. but those days were long gone, now he felt more like an annoyance than anything else. he entered the small girl’s room and placed her in the crib gently, she was totally out barely stirring at the shift in positions. jordan exhaled and leaned down to kiss her temple, his heart heavy knowing he wasn’t exactly sure when he would see her again. sure, it wouldn’t be more than a few days, a week tops, but that was his blood. part of him wanted to be there every single day but he knew that wasn’t in the cards right now. he shut the door quietly and made his way back downstairs, meeting elle at the front of the house. “uh, you know. new shoes, new clothes.” he stuffed his hands in his pockets, eyes on her small frame. “it wasn’t that it was ‘so important’, mostly i just wanted to see her. spend some time with her. i don’t know why that’s such a big deal to you.”

parking his car in the familiar driveway, jordan glanced in his rearview mirror to see his daughter was fast asleep. he had spent the past few hours with her, watching a disney movie and spoiling her the gifts he had picked up earlier in the day. it was a fight almost all the time to get to see her when he was free, giselle made sure of that. he knew that she was justified in some ways, but man she could be a bitch when she wanted. he sent her a quick text that he was outside and then quietly exited vehicle and untangled the young girl from her car seat nestled in the back. he moved slowly, trying not to wake her up as he already knew giselle was going to be mad that he had fucked up her sleeping schedule. cradling the girl against his chest, jordan walked up to the front door and paused, waiting for her to let him in. “hey,” he whispered once the door finally opened. “i can just go put her in bed if you want, she ko’d on the ride over.”

it was known to both sides that from time to time, when the two get bored, things get heated between the two of them. you wouldn’t find them talking or hanging out on a regular basis. their relationship is the type of thing that happens for a while but no one knows about it. no one is aware that things are happening between the two, and quite frankly, sienna LOVES the little game they’re playing. earlier that day, while she was running some errands she decided to give jordan a call and invited him over to her place. the girl wanted to have some fun, can you blame her ?? she was working on the computer in the kitchen, drinking some wine when she heard a knock on the door. she knew exactly who it was. she stood up and walked over to the door to open it. a little smirk showed up on her face. “long time no see.” she said as she gestured him to come in.
@jordannovell
it didn’t take much to convince jordan to spend some time at the blonde beauty’s house. her unexpected call, while he was on a break at the studio, was almost perfect. she had a knack for hitting him up when he was needing it the most. stopping at the liquor store and picking up a bottle to take over to sienna’s was about as romantic as they got, and he was all for it. there was something exciting about her that he hadn’t seen in anyone else he had met. most girls were looking for a ring and she just wasn’t. that attitude coupled with their physical chemistry was something that kept him coming back, time and time again. after the drive over to her place, jordan took a glance at himself in the small sun visor mirror and ran his hand over his hair before stepping out of the vehicle and up to her door. it didn’t take long at all for her to answer the door and a grin graced his face at the sight of the model. “you look fine as always,” he commented, giving her the once over before stepping into her place and presenting the bottle. “picked this up for ya’.” jordan said, slipping out of his sneakers and shaking his jacket off. they’d been going at this long enough he felt comfortable in her home.

𝑠𝑎𝘩𝑖𝑟𝑎 𝑡𝘩𝑟𝑜𝑤𝑠 the cropped jean jacket over her shoulders , following jordan’s lead out of the studio . a smile pulls at her lips at his words . “ your rap verse made the track insurmountably better , ” the brunette comments as she strides towards the luxury vehicle . “ lunch sounds great , i’m down for anywhere that has burgers . ” sahira answers as she opens the passenger door .
starting the car and unlocking his phone to let his playlist connect to the bluetooth, jordan shook his head at her compliment. “nah, it’s all your vocals.” he countered with a small grin. the music played through the speakers as he pulled out of the street parking spot and towards one of his favorite joints. “i got you, know the perfect spot.” he said, heading in autopilot towards the restaurant. “so, how you been?” jordan asked, filling the drive with whatever small talk he could muster up.

she finds herself here more often than she should, the spilled tequila on the floor and vivid lights decorating every surface around her was somewhat of a home away from home. it wasn’t hard to fall into this lifestyle, it was almost addictive in some sorts. the pull she felt to stray away from her ‘girl next door’ motif and towards a woman of the night. all around her were faces that were eerily familiar but the one calling her name was someone she’d never be able to pull away from. ‘ who am i to say no to a free drink ? ’ she teases, a coy smile wipes over her countenance as her bottom lip is pulled in under her pearly whites as the rapper approaches her, the wide distance between the two rapidly closed. ‘ besides , it’s not like me to say no to you … ever . ’
the smile that graced his features came naturally to her response, enjoying the encouragement the taller male let his hand find her lower back and gently guided her towards the bar. “what are you sippin’ on tonight?” jordan asked, finding his way to the front of the line with little resistance. he never had a problem asserting himself in situations like this, in fact it was almost as if people parted to let him skip to the front. “i’ll keep that in mind.” he replied with a small laugh, raising his hand to get the attention of the bartender. “yeah, i’ll take a henny and whatever she’s having.” jordan pulled his wallet out as the man behind the counter quickly worked to make their drinks. “so,” he started, letting his eyes look the younger woman over. “how’s your night goin’?”
