Sophie regularly attended our Saturday morning group runs until she decided to move back to her hometown of Chamonix and open a restaurant. So of course I visited her today and enjoyed a delicious meal with the incredible energy of the glacier and Mt. Blanc right in front of me. But first, I laced up them road shoes and witnessed Chamonix in its winter beauty and the many skiers filling the town. Community is everything - Sophie we’re going to be regular customers 😋🏔💙 •• Sophie asistía regularmente a nuestras corridas grupales de los sábados hasta que decidió regresar a su ciudad natal de Chamonix y abrir un restaurante. Ten years ago @volletgreg brought me into the elite @salomonrunning global team and it completely transformed my path as a trail running athlete and obviously my personal growth. Today he introduced me to world class mountain trails of Annecy that will take a lifetime to discover and play in. Our friendship and passion for the sport continues to elevate our curiosity and interest to keep finding inspiration in the transformative energy found in the mountains. How insanely rad and a complete coincidence that after nearly nine years ago to date of opening a shop in Mill Valley, maybe y’all of heard of it - @sfrunco - we find ourselves in Annecy both working. Still two amigos passionately working in the running industry. What an amazing morning to share time running with @coloradorivers as I embark on my new role at @salomonrunning! We drove an hour to have an off site staff meeting today. Chamonix your winter wonderland beauty is as magical as your summer glamour. Day 1 at @salomon was incredibly welcoming by my new colleague culture and cultivated an even greater inspirational thirst to make an impact in our sport and industry. But, the day begun with an early rise run and an ever flowing injection of my moments with my community back home and the emotion behind my future impact on the local Annecy community, which we will soon call home. 💙JAM BOYS 💙 My boys daily lively enthusiasm fills my heart unimaginably full. My humble childhood upbringing memories have lately created tears filled with upmost gratitude. I was raised by a loving farm working mother whose incomparable work ethic in the farmlands of central California instilled a relentless chase your dreams attitude and all while placing upmost value to always give to your community - which has nourished my relationship in the sport of running. And as my passion for the sport as both an athlete and business leader continues to blossom I’m happy to share that I’ve accepted an executive marketing role @salomonrunning HQ office, located in Annecy, France. In short time my family and I will be moving to the Venice of the Alps! I am honored and beyond grateful for the opportunity, but above all, my heart is most excited and humbled to raise my boys as authentic global citizens. Perseverance is power. My heart is so full and the tears won’t stop rolling down my cheeks, I can’t wait for our family adventures! ALLEZ ALLEZ ALLEZ ⛰💜🇫🇷 •• Últimamente, mis humildes recuerdos de crianza en la infancia han creado lágrimas llenas de inmensa gratitud. Fui criado por una amorosa madre trabajadora del campo cuyo incomparable ética de trabajo en las tierras agrícolas del centro de California quien inculcó una actitud de persecución incansable de seguir sueños y todo ello, al mismo tiempo que ponía el mayor valor para dar siempre a nuestra comunidad, lo que ha nutrido mi relación en el deporte de correr. Eight years ago and two days before my son Joaquín was born I met @ts.weller, whom currently we live 1km from one another and now both of our boys go to the same school. His baby twins and our baby are ~five months apart. And despite how incredibly busy we are as professionals, parents, and loving partners - we intentionally make time for one another to simply run, listen, love, and support one another - as we did this morning. And in my gratitude to Travis friendship, can we all please contribute to my go fund me page to buy him the finest shaver out there so he can shave his legs and actually keep up with me on ours runs? Thank you very much 😘 •• Hace ocho años y dos días antes de que naciera mi hijo Joaquín conocí a @ts.weller, con quien actualmente vivimos a 1km el uno del otro y ahora nuestros dos chicos van al la misma escuela. Sus bebés gemelos y nuestro bebé tienen ~ cinco meses de diferencia. Y a pesar de lo increíblemente ocupados que estamos como profesionales, padres y socios amorosos, intencionalmente nos tomamos un tiempo para simplemente correr, escucharnos, amarnos y apoyarnos mutuamente, como lo hicimos esta mañana.
