W14- Final Pitching Experience
The final pitching showed our team's hard work, creativity, and dedication. Unlike our midterm pitch, this time I wasn't the one presenting, my groupmate took on the role of the main pitcher. In the days leading up to the final pitch, our team focused on refining our presentation and rehearsing our delivery. We divided the responsibilities to utilize each member's strengths.
Tumblr media
When the day of the final pitch arrived, the atmosphere was a mix of excitement and nervousness. My groupmate delivered our presentation with clarity and enthusiasm. The pitch highlighted our app’s unique features, market potential, and the positive feedback we received during our MVP validation phase. The final pitching experience was a milestone in our journey, showcasing our collective effort and dedication. It reaffirmed our belief in our app’s potential and our ability to succeed as a team. This experience has not only enhanced our pitching skills but also reinforced the importance of teamwork and preparation. Thank you to everyone who supported and collaborated with us. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate you being a part of our journey!💗

W13- Launching of Idea
Tumblr media
Week 13 marked a significant milestone in our journey as we finally launched our app idea. Creating a dedicated Facebook page was our first step. We chose Facebook due to its wide user base and the ability to easily share content and interact with users. We designed eye-catching visuals for our profile and cover photos, ensuring they represented our app’s brand and core features effectively.
Tumblr media
To kick off our launch, we posted a combination of photo and video content showcasing our app. Our introductory photo highlighted the app’s key features and user-friendly interface, capturing immediate interest. We followed up with a video that provided a deeper dive into the app’s functionality, demonstrating the use of the app. Our posts quickly garnered likes and shares, expanding our app’s presence, and our Facebook page gained a number of followers in a short period.

W12- Group Updates
Tumblr media
Recently, my team and I discussed our progress and refined our approach to gaining traction. We zeroed in on the top three traction channels that we believe will drive the most engagement for our app. One of these key channels is viral marketing, which has the potential to significantly boost our visibility and user base. In today’s digital age, viral marketing stands out as a powerful strategy to rapidly increase user engagement. This method relies on the spread of content through social networks.
Tumblr media
For our MVP validation, we interviewed 5 students and 5 remote workers and asked for their opinions about our app. Surprisingly, all of the respondents showed their interest in using our app and they are also willing to pay for the app's 10 pesos transaction fee. The enthusiastic response from both students and remote workers not only validates our efforts but also motivates us to continue refining and enhancing our app.

W11- Midterm Pitching Experience
Tumblr media
As the midterm pitching day approached, I found myself with a mix of excitement and anxiety. The thought of standing in front of my peers and panelists was overwhelming. My biggest fear was that I might freeze, forget my lines, or fail to convey the passion I felt for our project. As I waited for our turn, I could feel my heart racing. The moments leading up to our presentation felt like an eternity. The first few seconds were the hardest. My hands were slightly shaky, and I could hear the quiver in my voice. However, as I began to speak, the words I said just came out naturally. After the pitch, a sense of relief washed over me, quickly followed by a feeling of accomplishment when we successfully answered the panelist's questions. The feedback from them was constructive and encouraging. Reflecting on the experience, I realized that the journey was as important as the outcome. The process of preparing for the pitch taught me valuable lessons in effective communication and the importance of thorough preparation. More importantly, it taught me that it's okay to feel nervous. What's crucial is how you channel that nervous energy into a focused and confident delivery. 💟💗

W6- WEN Ignite Experience
Tumblr media
On our WEN Ignite journey, we focused on what our goals are and what solution we came up with to the problem. Who We Are CaféComfy is a simple yet powerful idea: to cater to the growing demand for suitable coffee spots where people can work, study, or unwind. With remote work, more of us are on the lookout for comfortable, conducive environments outside our homes. That's where CaféComfy steps in, making it effortless for you to discover and explore local cafes that match your vibe and needs. Why CaféComfy? We've all been there – wandering around, trying to find a café with the right atmosphere, reliable Wi-Fi, and perhaps even power outlets. It's not just about the coffee; it's about the experience and the productivity boost you get from the right environment. CaféComfy addresses this by offering a user-friendly platform that lists nearby cafes complete with photos, amenities, customer reviews, and all the details you need to pick your next spot.
The Problem We're Solving
Finding the perfect café is more than a convenience; it's a necessity for many in today's flexible work and study environments. Yet, the struggle to locate spaces that offer the right mix of ambiance, services, and availability leads to frustration, stress, and a potential hit to productivity. Current solutions like word-of-mouth recommendations or online searches often fall short, offering unreliable information and lacking personalized suggestions or reservation options. Our Solution With CaféComfy, you're not just finding a café; you're discovering your new favorite spot. Our service saves you time, offers detailed café listings, adds convenience with reservation options, enhances your café experience with personalized recommendations, and ultimately boosts your productivity by matching you with the ideal work or study environment.

W5- Customer Segments
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In our 5th week, we focused on customer segments, specifically targeting three key groups: remote workers, students/tourists, and coffee shop/café owners, each with their own unique roles and needs within our app.
ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ
End Users: Remote Workers, Students, and Tourists
Let's start with the end users—the individuals who directly interact with our app. Whether they're remote workers looking for a cozy spot to get work done, students searching for a quiet place to study, or tourists seeking a local coffee experience, they all rely on our app to discover coffee shops, read reviews, and check out amenities. These users make decisions on where to visit based on the information we provide, making them a crucial segment to understand and cater to.
(◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。
Payers and Decision Makers: Coffee Shop/Café Owners
Next up, we have the coffee shop and café owners—the ones responsible for the financial aspects of their businesses. These individuals pay for services like advertising space or premium listings on our app. They make critical decisions about listing their shops, what information to include, and how to respond to customer feedback. Understanding their needs and providing valuable features and services is essential for maintaining their engagement and loyalty.
(灬º‿º灬)♡
Recommenders: Managers and Staff
Last but not least, we have the managers and staff of coffee shops and cafés. These front-line workers are deeply involved in the daily operations of the business. They interact directly with customers, gaining valuable insights into their preferences and behaviors. During slow periods or empty slots, they can recommend utilizing our app to the business owner, highlighting the potential benefits of enhancing their operations through ourlatform.

W4- Value Proposition Canvas
Tumblr media
During Week 4 of our exploration, we engaged with remote workers, specifically freelancers, to gain insights into their work routines. Individuals such as John Kyle, Francine, Edward, Valerie Mae, and Bethel Jane provided insights on how they optimize productivity while embracing the flexibility of remote employment. We found out that, aside from the comfort of working from their residences, they also prefer to work in cafés when outside. For these professionals, the appeal of freelancing lies in the freedom to schedule tasks, reduce commute times, and customize workstations to their preferences. Whether it involves a cozy home desk or a serene corner in a café, establishing an ideal work setting is crucial for maintaining concentration and effectiveness.
ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ
Despite the advantages of remote work, it introduces unique challenges, such as identifying suitable locations and managing interruptions. From encountering difficulties in locating coffee shops due to outdated directions to coping with noisy environments and limited seating, remote workers like Francine and Bethel Jane confront obstacles in their pursuit of an optimal work environment. Nevertheless, by leveraging technology and conducting venue research beforehand, they streamline the process, ensuring efficient work regardless of their location. Ultimately, achieving a balance between productivity and comfort is paramount as remote workers navigate the freedoms and challenges inherent in their profession.

W3- Customer Discovery of your Group Idea
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On our third week, our group task was to gather and discover customer information for our group idea. We interviewed 5 customers; 2 of them were students and freelancers at the same time, while the remaining 3 were students. We discovered that customers often struggle to find suitable nearby cafés, study hubs, or coffee shops that meet their preferences for studying, working, or socializing. They may waste time and effort searching for suitable options, leading to frustration and inconvenience. Additionally, once they find a suitable location, there is no guarantee of availability, especially during peak hours or busy periods. (◍•ᴗ•◍)(。♡‿♡。) That's why we came up with a solution named 'CaféComfy'. A mobile app that shows Cagayan de Oro's study hubs, or coffee shops, along with the pictures and details of each. It will allow users to check ratings, reviews, and services offered, with an added feature enabling users to reserve tables or inquire in advance.

W2- Problem Exploration and Team Formation
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During our second week, we focused on understanding the problems faced by potential customers and forming teams. Initially, we each interviewed at least five potential customers to learn about their problems and find solutions to them. Most of the customers I interviewed were students looking for ways to make studying easier. (灬º‿º灬)♡ After this, we formed teams of four, and our group chose the name 'PowerpuffX'. Within our team, each member had a specific role:hustler, hacker, handler, and hipster. My role as the hustler involved overseeing the product's lifecycle, developing features, and managing time to ensure customer needs were addressed. Our first task as a team was to compile the problems identified during our individual interviews. We discussed these issues as a group and shared our thoughts on potential solutions.

W1- Intro to Technopreneurship and Test Results
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In our first week, I learned that Technopreneurship is a blend of "technology" and "entrepreneurship." It involves using technology to create and develop new business opportunities or to innovate. We also did some quizzes. One of these is the 16 personality test. (✿ ♡‿♡) It was fascinating to find out that my personality type is ISFJ-A, also known as the defender. I learned that I'm introverted by 57%, observant by 51%, feeling by 63%, judging by 63%, and assertive by 53%. It was eye-opening to explore these aspects of myself and learn more about how I interact with the world.
