currently thinking how wild it is that they named a character in game after a known mystic from the 1600s who claimed to recieve visions straight from jesus and could visit heaven and hell AND ALSO claimed to be a prophet that could predict the future (and also DID THAT on many occasions) and ALSO talked to beings in other worlds and planets and visited many different planets in the solar system AND ALSO proposed many scientific ideas quite some time earlier they were finally ”discovered” like the concept of a NEURON (first one to do so) the ”flying machine” and THE FRONTAL CORTEX IN THE BRAIN and also started a christian organization that is dedicated to his theological and philosophical ideas

today is 10 years of my SSO account! this game has changed my whole life and i am completely serious. i used the computer and internet before, but joining star stable online was an upgrade, an introduction to playing and interacting with other people, an introduction to actually watching youtube (which shaped my humor and personality sooo much), an introduction to the social parts of the internet. a new world has opened to me in november of 2014 and i am so glad about it. can't imagine it any other way 🦄

the valley of the hidden dinosaur was added just as i made my account and let me tell you something... i was OBSESSED with it and with the characters, especially the kallters!!!

exploring this terrain and the story was perhaps the biggest adventure available in star stable online. of course, they always add a bit of a mystery to the new areas (the ghosts in golden hills being the reason of the gate being closed, the wild woods being well, wild), but what made it truly special was the harsh climate and such remoteness. no talking horses no nothing. just the native people. and maybe the frozen veterinarian, for some reason. the requirement of a cold-tolerant horse was adding to the atmosphere of adventure, you had to be prepared for the expedition. also, i do not understand the decision of removing this feature, as it seems pretty clear to me that selling horses with this advantage would make them more money?

i watched videos of other people doing the quests and could not wait until i was able to do them myself. reaching level 15 was such a rewarding moment. it was so immersive, the characters were so different. they were mysterious, you had to actually do some foraging in order for them to warm up to you... making the fjord horse so worth it and an object of admiration among other players too. i still think that this is such a good idea and would make players more invested into the game if they had to work for these new horses instead of just buying them the moment they are added (although a lot of people would propably complain about that, so maybe just throw in some special coats in exchange for the reputation). i still have some of the items that were there to collect. and the dooooooorrrrrs... the huge doors leading to a land unknown. with that big intimidating shining blue crystal above. genius.

will we ever get to meet them again? will we get to explore what is waiting behind the doors? what even was the reason for dropping them completely? i want answers but i don't think sso has them at this point. that is enough reminiscing for today thank you for reading ❄

something that is very dear to me: this witch floating around the lighthouse in cape west fishing village every halloween <3 this is my favourite seasonal decor detail and i go to see her every year. i am so glad that sso still adds her :) i also really liked spider pig, but i have not seen that animal in years... i don't think they add it anymore. if anyone has heard about spider pig please share your knowledge i miss it dearly

star stable online cheaters be like

also I'm definitely erring on the side of not minding the SC prices for stable customization. i feel like it's not often brought up that lifetime is a giant money sink on star stable's end. and while i think they 100% need to do something about the state of the in game pricing/economy, i would rather them introduce new (entirely optional) things to spend sc on that isn't yet another horse that will be fully trained in a day of gameplay. (or raise the real life SC prices yet again. I think anyone would prefer lower SC prices with a lot more things to spend SC on)

ofc there's always limits. personally, i feel like where star stable is messing up is coming straight out of the gate with 90 SC options. what im really wary of is stable customization being dropped like every other project, and not getting any new options for it for a long time or really ever. i think that the moorland and brickhaven designs should all be 30-40 SC at MOST, especially if they're SC only. leave options that are closer to 100 SC for future, really out-there theme drops. I don't feel like spending 90 SC on a green horse shower tile at all. however, you know what i would totally drop 90 SC on? pandoria themed rafters with pandoric ray families in them, that sometimes fly overhead and swoop down over you. a dark core themed floor with grates over water, with gaps in it where sometimes garnok-like tentacles emerge out.
