Chinese home cooking
If you stand at the Kantstrasse bus stop on the corner of Schlüterstraße, you can not help but admire the chicken and varnished duck cooked in soy sauce, which hangs in the kitchen window of the Good Friends restaurant. The water runs in your mouth and the imagination takes the viewer directly into the Middle Kingdom.

The menu also holds the general Chinese home cooking, including Chopsuey in all sorts of variations. More interesting, however, are the green pages. On them are the dishes of Cantonese cuisine. At Good Friends, there are up to six cooks on the stove, supported by ten helpers, who create authentic Cantonese dishes. The ingredients for the kitchen are delivered fresh every day except Sundays. Many Chinese people who live in Berlin or just visit the city, whether as business people or as tourists, come here to dine.
From chicken feet to dim sum to lobster
A big dim sum card will surprise you with different stuffed dumplings, dumplings and steamed chicken feet (between 3 and 5 Euro). In addition to the usual spring rolls, the starters include the legendary millennial eggs (13 euros), Choibao, an hors d'oeuvre made from pork chops with water chestnuts for two to four people (16 euros) or steamed scallops (price on request).
Lobster and crabs swim in a basin (prices on request). On a large blackboard are written on changing dishes, such as marinated squid, a seaweed salad with golden needle mushrooms (3.50 euros) or turbot, steamed in soy sauce with ginger and spring onions (100 g for 3.20 euros). A wide range of fish - redfish (13 euros), sea bass (19 euros) and squid dishes (12 to 15 euros) - is on the menu next to the meat dishes of pork, beef or lamb (between 11 and 16 euros). The already mentioned poultry (chicken from 11 Euro and duck to the 15 Euro) is used in many dishes, authentic with bones, but also without them for more sensitive guests. Vegetarians get their money's worth at Good Friends with water spinach, Chinese vegetables or seaweed soup.
The restaurant is also known to the lovers of Asian noodle soups. The Wantan noodle soup with shrimp (9.50 Euro) is a stomach filling the main course. But you should definitely order the chili sauces, which give the soups the necessary spice. In addition to various teas and draft beer, there is a stately wine list with five wines and 38 different bottled wines from different regions of Europe.
