In today’s world, men often struggle with distractions and addictions to alcohol, pornography, and social media. Moreover, society's stereotypes frequently associate men with these idols. However, Exodus 90 focuses on the path to true freedom, which involves remembering one's identity as a son of God and relying on the power of grace and brotherly support.
During the 90-day program, participants engage in contemplative prayer, ascetic practices, and fraternity. Through worship, men open themselves to a vulnerable relationship with God. Asceticism helps them say no to worldly distractions and foster a focus on what truly matters. Through association with other men also engaged in the program, participants receive the essential support and accountability needed to strive towards these uncommon ideals.
As defined by Exodus 90, true freedom comes from commitment, sacrifice, and love, mirroring Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. The path leads to a life of meaning and eternal satisfaction. The program involves daily prayer, including a holy hour and various spiritual exercises to foster a continuous dialogue with God.
Ascetic practices include getting sufficient sleep, taking cold showers, exercising regularly, avoiding unnecessary technology use, giving up certain foods and drinks, and fasting. These practices depend not on proving strength or earning grace but on becoming free to love as God intends.
Fraternity involves daily check-ins and weekly meetings with a group of five to seven men. The brotherhood provides a space for openness and honesty, countering the isolation many men feel today. In addition, the fraternity meetings follow a guide to support weekly discussions and spiritual growth.
The community tab on the Exodus 90 app assists participants who wish to build a brotherhood. The resource identifies local fraternities and enables participants to join a remote fraternity through the app. Then, the leadership platform, Mount Sinai, serves as an additional resource to help men who wish to start a fraternity.
